PostSubject: A Chance of Acceptance January 4th 2015, 12:47

Her eyes cast around the terrain of land. Forepaws set a few feet or so behind the border line that was heavily scented. A pack for sure, no doubt about that here.. The land seemed fairly nice and had more of a welcoming kind demeanor. And the looks of it appealed to her and drew her this close. Her mind wandered about, deciding wether or not to make herself known here. She'd wandered for a year after the fire and her son's death. And now she figured it was probably best to settle down. At four years of age there was no doubt that home was needed for the upcoming years, and she did not want it to be on her own. But she did wish to continue what she had done before, the never-ending business of taking care of pups was something she could not deny was something she loved. And always would be what she wants to be doing.

Sighing, she travelled a bit closer. What if this was not the right pack to join? What if there isn't such a position that I could love like before? What if.... She shut the thoughts out. There was no point in going over them when there may be a chance that all would end well. Rolling her shoulders she walked forward, stopping at the edge of the territory. Hopefully it would, she would not like to remain a lone wolf forever, the thought was foreign to her. She needed to be a part of something, even if that part was fairly small, it was still something. Tilting her head back she opened her jaws, her call making its way through. Loud and long, but none to forceful nor intimidating. Just merely a call for assistance at the border. For someone to come and deem her worthy enough to be placed amongst the ranks.

With a simple exhale of held in breath, a leaf flew into the sky. Golden eyes watched as the leaf rose into the air and fell to the floor once more. White ears twitched as he watched and soon the great white wolf rose to his paws. He stretched out his legs, only slightly, and moved from the entrance of his new home. It was not the once majestic den of the Alpha, but now a home of an Elder. He had built it upon the stepping down from leading the pack. The new Alphess and her mate ran things around Helidos now. It gave Azul some time to get his mind clear and things back right in his head. After his talk with Marrok, he still needed time. Things would probably never be back to normal for him. Azul decided today would be a good one to make it to the borders. He walked along the old path he knew so well. The scents of the new Alpha pair was present and strong. Other scents, from the Elite and Betas have been lingering around as well. The thought of them, made him proud. He watched many wolves rise in his ranks and become great wolves. It was only a matter of time. Others would become great wolves in Helidos as well. When he walked along the path, Azul looked to the foliage he knew, the trees and the rocks. While he was walking, he heard the howl of a new wolf. He moved quickly, making his appearance just after enough time so she would not have to wait. He stood before the other wolf, looking down to her. His expression was friendly and welcoming. He stood still and looked at her. "Greetings wolf, my name is Elder Azul. You have found the lands of Helidos. They are owned by Alphess Quinn and Alpha Fenris. How may I help you?" He stared to her, wondering what she will say.

It was not long until a scent a brute hit her nares. And not much longer till her eyes landed on his mass. A large coating of pure white that stood taller than herself as he neared, and bright golden eyes that looked down slightly upon her. But she had no reason to fear he seemed kind, as his gaze was friendly and so was his tone of voice. He was of high ranking, she could tell that by the way he carried himself. His head high and his steps so confident and sure of the land. By the looks of him he seemed a year or so older than herself, but she couldn't be sure. Dipping her head politely towards the alabaster he-wolf she stood listening. Being sure to keep her stance relaxed and head lower than he kept his. Her amber-grey eyes fixed on him in the same manner his were on her, friendly and relaxed. As he finished speaking with a question, she let a small smile pull back her lips. "I appreciate the welcoming nature Elder Azul, it can come to be quite hard to find upon first look these days." She started keeping the conversation simple and light. "My name is Elsbeth, and I am here on behalf of my desire to join your pack, Helidos, if you are accepting members at this time and date."

Azul held himself like a gentleman. He was long past his days as an Alpha, now living as a humble Elder. He was as humble as he could be. His golden eyes looked to her, listening intently as she spoke to him. She seemed to be pleasant and polite, two traits Azul enjoyed in other wolves. He pushed the thoughts of recent events to the back of his mind. "Elsbeth, such an intriguing name. I can honestly say I have never met a wolf with that name. It just so happens you are in luck. We are accepting members into our pack and I think Alphess Quinn would be very pleased to see a wolf like you in our pack. But before I accept you, please tell me of your training. What have you learned to do? What are your passions? Often times we have wolves who just join and wish to be a Warrior, but with time they realize they have a passion to heal or perhaps to hunt for the pack instead. We actually have a Warrior who requested to be a Healer. My mate is a Healer as well, well, she was... But we do not need to discuss her. Are there any questions you have for me?"

The multicolored maiden let out a small chuckle at the start of his words but did not say anything. His words used to describe her name to him was one she had not heard of. Intriguing... Perhaps it might be, unique for sure. As she listened to him speak more she found he was truly kind hearted. And the way he spoke the name of the Alphas, she could guess she wasn't far from him. He was a pure gentleman, nothing like other brutes that would take one look at a she-wolf and their eyes become filled with either lust is disgust. Truly wolves of a kinder nature were getting harder to come by the hour. After his jaws came to a halt was when she allowed herself the pleasure of speaking. "Why thank you, Sir, I don't think anyone has ever called it 'intriguing' before. But I must say your name is pretty unique as well. I have never met a wolf named Azul before." She paused thinking of her next words. "As for what I can offer your pack and Alphas Quinn, it would mostly take place around the young. I was trained to care for them, teach them the ways of the pack and keep them healthy before they began their trainings at an age near to one. I love the task and would not rather do anything else. It'll be like taking care of my son's again. The ones I had to leave with there father after an incident back where I came from." She let out a sigh thinking of her lost son for a moment. But just one before she continued on, giving him a small smile to let him know all was well. "The only question I have for you is; Is there such a position that could be offered towards me?"

A smile graced his lips, curling from edge to edge. "Yes, my mother was one for the strange and bizarre. She told me that before I was even born, she knew it would be my name. Although, I think she had hoped to see myself with some blue eyes." He laughed gently, allowing his body to be completely relaxed. It had been a long time since Azul had laughed. It felt good for a change. With all the bad thoughts pushed from his mind, he was able to actually enjoy himself. When h stopped laughing, he held the smile on his features still. "Please, do not call me sir. Those days are far over for me, no longer am I an Alpha. You may just call me Azul. Or if you feel the need to show me respect, then Elder Azul shall be just fine." He looked over her, listening to her tale of caring for pups. He missed his young very much and wished that maybe one day he would have more. His pups were always important, but he seemed to put other things before their needs without even being aware of it. He had never meant to be a bad father, but it seemed he had. "I am sorry to hear of your loss. I know losing young can be very hard. I have lost all of my pups, one was killed before my very eyes. But let's not dwell on the negatives, shall we? It just so happens we do have a rank suited for the care of pups. It is called Caretaker, and I know the Alpha pair will be expecting this coming spring. There will be many pups around here and we will need all the help we can get. Elsbeth, you shall now be known as Caretaker Elsbeth. You may come with me to the pack lands, or explore them yourself. The decision is up to you." He gave her a respectful nod of his head and turned to head for the den he now called home. Today had been a decent morning, and Azul was able to hide the thoughts which haunted him, but how long could such a charade last?

- Elsbeth is now accepted. Feel free to post if you wish. Please change your name to Caretaker Elsbeth, and make sure to request Helidos in the "Ranks" tab beneath the forum banner. Thank you. -
