PostSubject: Running away from the past. Beginning a new start. January 24th 2015, 19:56

The crisp autumn air nipped at Clare violently, sending a shiver down her spine. The winter was here, leaves were begining to change into vibrant colors. Although the cold winds would normallly force Clare to find shelter, today she enjoyed it. It had been months since the killing of Eli; it felt good to finally feel something, even if the wind could possibly freeze her to death. As the leaves accumulated in small piles, Clare couldn't help but drift off into her thoughts. The memories and thoughts of leaving her home came in an aggrevating rush. A sullen shadow seemed to wrap around her thoughts. Clare had instituted that she must forget the past, but with the fuzzy snow that now came down like a black and white flim, her mind couldn't help but wonder off. She wondered how her father was, was he better? Had her mother left him, or was she still with him? Are they even alive? The last question made Clare grimance. Although her parents didn't treat her well, she still had a heart. She couldn't imagine death upon them, only vengeance. As the snow swirled down in a violent squall, she pushed her ears back and lowered her head. Somehow, winter was always her favorite season. She smiled as she remembered how her real father would take her ice skating on a large lake by the boarder. Remembering how gallantly her father was as he stepped onto the ice, her mother soon following, made her miss him even more. Those were the good days, where family was one and she didn't need to be afraid of the world. She had everything she wanted, until the world decided to unleash all hell upon her. Clare looked up and squinted her eyes, a snowflake landed on her maw and she closed her eyes. Some may see the snow, while others feel the snow. That was what others didn't understand as they gazed at Clare and heard her story, the look of pity in their eyes. They might seen the pain, but never had they felt the pain.

Clare cursed the day she was given the scar on her maw, a constant reminder of what she was running from. Running from her problems was easy, but forgetting them was the hardest. Opening her eyes, her baby blue eyes scanned the area. She had no idea why she was out here, but for some reason she felt the need to continue forward. As she observed the area, a strong scent of a marking made her stop in her tracks. Lifting her muzzle up, she smelled the cold air, following the scent of what soon became a marking of a border. Clare sighed and turned, walking away with soft steps. She was use to passing borders, but never did she call upon the pack. After leaving home, she did eventually find a home called Cedar Grove. There she met two fantastic females- Flash and Ariste. Together they were like sisters. But her home was soon ruined, causing her to go on her own once again. But it seemed like the world was giving her a second chance, soon leading Eli to her. Taking a few more steps away, she couldn't help but pause. What if this was what she needed? Is there such a thing called a third chances? Well, you never know unless you try. Turning around, she made her way back to the border, standing there. Was she really ready for another home? A lucky chance for it to be taken away like the others? Flashes of doubt passed through her mind, but she pushed them aside. No more doubts, time to have some morals. Arching her back, closing her eyes, she sang a melody. The soft, but confident, melody bounced off the trees out into the unknown, white void. Lowering her head, she could hear the melody echoing, the wind becoming her mockingjay. She smiled slightly and watched the snow, waiting for someone to anser her call. Maybe  third chances do exist?

Rose's white body darted across the earth like a large bird hunting it's prey. Her paws flew across the ground and then she sailed through the air and her teeth snapped around the neck of a rabbit. Her teeth sank in deep and she jerked, the snap ringing in her ears but it was a clean kill. She picked up her trophy of hunting, carrying it towards the pack's clearing. Her ears flicked and she dropped the kill near where they stored the extra meat and pelts. It was only autumn and yet Rose felt as if winter were coming all too soon. Her heart pounded and though she was built more for the cold weather, she still shivered as a cool autumn breeze ruffled her fur and made her head tilt back with the pleasure it sent through her. Her tail swished back and forth behind her as she walked around the clearing, lost in thought. She walked forward, her eyes darting back and forth with every sound that the forest made. Her paws carried her from the pack's clearing subconsciously and towards the borders. Her tail swayed and her ears flicked as she got carried away with her thoughts about life and how she dreaded winter. She wanted to get to hunting, maybe take a team of wolves whom she knew well out and bring back something extra special for her pack. She wagged her tail with joy as she was very pleased with this idea. Her body swayed with the gentle winds, flowing like a leaf across the sky. She shook her head as she nearly walked into a tree, her amber eyes widening with surprise.

Her heart sped up as a howl rang through the woods and instinct kicked in to head towards the area which it came from. Her ears perked forward again, tingling with the sound of a gentle voice that called for acceptance. She didn't take her time with this answer. She let her paws pound across the leaves, her own sweet howl touching the air in response to let the wolf know that she was on her way. She lowered her head and let her tail swing behind her as she gained more speed. Her amber eyes stayed open as she darted through the shadows and into the light. She slowed to a stop as her eyes lay upon a she-wolf who was at the border rather calmly. She caught her breath before approaching and sitting neatly in front of her. She wrapped her long tail around her body and let it rest upon her paws. She nodded gently, a warm smile cross her maw. "Welcome to the lands of Helidos, I am Delta Rose." Her smile stayed brilliant as she listened to the leaves crackle and fall from the trees. "What brings you to the borders and who are you?" She asked her question calmly. Her voice rang with kindness and joy. She swayed slightly, back and forth with the wind that tugged at her furs. She tilted her head as she awaited a response from the she-wolf that had called her forth. Her ears flicked as late birds flew back and forth, chirping out a song for the whole land to enjoy.

(Sorry if short, we agreed to make this fast. Was writing it at school xD)

Gazing into the white abyss, a shadow appeared. It seemed to melt into with all the nature surrounded it, but yet contrasting at the same time. A beautiful fae who walked out and sat in front of Clare, it seemed as if Clare was looking into to a mirror, the only difference was the faes eyes. Her amber eyes looked glistened with silent joy, something Clare could not help avoid and she smiled. As the fae spoke, Clare was careful to listen and to pay full attention, this wasn't her first time at a border. Her smile widened and she bowed her head slightly, “Hello Delta Rose, I’m Clare. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” She shifted her paws and sat down, mirroring her posture. “I come to ask acceptance inside your pack. I have come from far away and my journeys have prepared me for this moment. I will bring strength and loyalty to this pack, if you allow me. I am a great hunter, speed is in my favor.” Clare’s ears flicked slightly as she a leaf fell down on top of her head, making her shake her head slightly. She watched the fae and took in  her appearance. Clare was normally never able to become friends with females, for she always coward away from others. Gazing at the fae with such a joyful demeanor, she couldn’t help but crave a friendship from her. Maybe an optimistic friend is what she needed in life, and what she could see now, this fae has been her long. Maybe life won’t rip her away like the rest?

(OOC- You are gunna have to correct your post when you get a chance, I'm not an Elite, I'm a Delta xP)

Rose listened and nodded as the she-wolf was very clear on what she wanted and even proceeded to tell of her skills. Rose could tell that the other she-wolf was built for speed like herself. She breathed slowly and thought about exactly what the other had said. It didn't sound like she was lying but one could never be sure. She smiled once more and nodded. "Clare, what a pleasure to meet you as well!" She nodded her head and thought about as to what she wanted to say, since the skills and greetings were over with... and the fae had already pledged her loyalty... there was nothing else to be said. "You offer your loyalty rather quickly, perhaps a story is behind is that?" She tilted her head with the question but stayed in her position. "However, that shall be a story for another time Hunter Clare. We have a job to do, and to test your skills, we shall hunt later today." She stood up and turned around to face the camp the clearing. "Welcome to Helidos Clare, May you find family and friends here." She twisted to look over her shoulder and nodded. "Come, let us get you a den and perhaps afterwards we will test you with hunting... or maybe later." She started walking forward, expecting the she-wolf to follow her and make their way to the camp clearing. It's true, Rose was very trusting to this she-wolf, but only because she wanted to hear the life story from her. She wanted to hear about the lands she traveled and become close friends with her. Her tail swayed in a wag and she bounded forward. Her ears rolled back and she smiled. She wanted to get back to work with hunting for the pack and training herself for anything that would be thrown at her. She had to meet up with one of the Elite's and gain some more training in order to show that she was ready to hold her rank steady.

{{Welcome to Helidos! xP You've been accepted reallllllly fast because... *Sitka and Clare <3* Anyways! Please change your name to "Hunter Clare" and go to the ranks tab up at the top and request to join the Helidos group. On a side note, to make up for the lack of a border thread, I'd love to have a thread where they hunt together and share pasts or something <3}}
