The handsome male trotted along, his fur swaying in a gentle breeze that seemed to flow around him, his cerulean eyes fixed ahead, though out of the corner of his eye he could see the are he was passing through. It seemed nice enough, and he caught a faint whiff of other wolves on the horizon, making him quicken his pace. With his fluffy fur and somewhat large build, the male looked daunting as he seemed to slink towards a hill near the borderline. He paused, his left paw raised a good inch or two off the ground, and inhaled deeply, the smells of forest animals and wolves mingling together delightfully to him, and a small grin fell upon his muzzle. He blinked slowly, as he swiveled his head first left, then right, surveying the land before it. It spread out in front of him like a kingdom at his paws, ready for every inch of it to be explored, every nook and cranny known, and every creature to know his scent by heart.

He wished to make his parents proud, and he hoped that this pack would help him cultivate his potential, molding him into the best warrior possible. He wasn't a rank seeker, he didn't search for praise often, or even promotions, like some wolves did. He was content to live by the pack laws and abide by them peacefully, yet shed blood and make others shed blood when it came to battle, fighting claw and tooth to defend his pack until the day he died. He would pledge full loyalty to this pack if they accepted him, and lay down his life for them, following the Alpha's or Alpha/Alphess into battle until he gave his last breath. That's how he was raised. "Wonderful..." He murmered, slightly chuckling, "I could finally be coming home. This could be it. I hope they accept me." He shifted on his paws softly, padding forward quietly, his pawsteps calculated and sure. His tail was low, his ears back down against his head, not fully but enough that he would be showing respect, and his eyes were scanning. Lifting his head, he opened his maw and let out a long and booming howl, his question ringing loud and clear, I seek permission into this pack, may I come in?

After softening his howl to nothing, he lowered his head, stepping backwards, away from being so close to the border, and sat upon his haunches. His body was still slightly tensed, but that was just in case these wolves weren't too friendly, and tried to chase him off. He would be ready for anything this time, for he had been through a lot in his travels, and now was just the beginning of the end of his journeying days, and he hoped that was true, because he wished not to go any longer without the comfort of a permanent den, and others of his own kind surrounding him day and night, providing comfort even in the darkest of hours, being there when needed. He finally thought, I can finally find the Champion within that mother was talking about... I can be the best, and make them proud...

What...? Cream ears flickered to the side, head lowered to the ground as her nose was wedged into the ivory snow. Beneath lay a common herb, a herb which was rising up from the ground more often since spring was near, and nothing could pull Genevieve away from collecting that herb...except an intruder's howl. The sound was undeniably masculine and it made Genevieve wonder if she depart from the border and let someone else handle them. But how would that ever be in her character? Truthfully, yes, Genevieve was cautious at times and easily frightened but despite her fear she was welcoming and open to anyone she meant - wouldn't it be right thing to do, to confront them?

Scraping ivory clumps over the herb, to preserve it, Genevieve took a sharp turn to her left, towards the border. As she ran, her breath fleeing behind her, a result of the frigid weather, she craned back her neck in a short burst to return the howl. Her own was brief and feminine, a higher tone which, even when running, was, to some, considered pleasant on the ears. As she ran, the young fae's mind wondered on the subject of the newcomer's personality. So many possibilities filled her head, the treacherous ones lingering longer, filling her with potential fear, and eventually she quit thinking about it all together - simply too overwhelmed.

"Oh my....!" Stumbling into the clearing, Genevieve stood at the edge cautiously as she previewed the unknown wolf. He size was, simply, enormous. He stood a tad bit shorter than her own gigantic Alpha, but even then he was a sight to see. Bowing her head in a quick, swift motion, Genevieve spoke rather quickly being completely nervous."Hello...may I ask who you are? You have come onto the lands of Alpha Azul...stranger."

Half-lidded eyes surveyed the wolfess before him, and he quickly stood, rising himself up to full height, before he dropped his forepaws to the ground, his front half lowering, his eyes staring at the dirt, ears down, and tail tucked firmly down, though the tip was wagging slightly. He listened as she confronted him, seeming somewhat unsure, and he resisted the urge to chuckle slightly, for he did not want to startle the poor thing. "My name is Chayton, and I hail from lands far from here, many seasons away. I have come to seek entry into this pack. I look for a home and pack I can pledge my life and loyalty to, and I have heard many a tale of this pack from other loners who have passed by it's border." He paused, sparing a glance to her, cerulean orbs sliding upwards, as he quickly gauged her response, before adding, "I hoped to prove my worthiness of acceptance to the Alpha or Beta. Or any of rank who have the power to accept, since I do not know what your packs standings(rankings) are."

He snapped his maw shut before he began to ramble stupidly, and shifted his weight on his paws, wondering briefly how long he should stay in the lowered bowing position, and thought it might be just a tad rude to stand, so he remained in the stiffening way, and twisted his neck slightly, hoping to rid himself of kinks in his neck. He hoped feverently that this she-wolf could accept him, or at least get another wolf of high standings to test his skills and accept him. Wouldn't it just be a tragedy if they refused me? Then I would have to be in search, yet again, of a brave, and wonderous pack that was both good and strong, as well as loyal. One could not stay like this forever though, I can't keep traveling, it wears me down, and makes me weak. His thoughts were somewhat dreary, weariness from all the traveling making him ramble in his head, though his face showed no sign of his somewhat downcast mindset, instead portraying hope, and strength, and a wiseness that shined in his eyes and was well past his years.

Genevieve took a hollow breath, eyes scanning the male as she took in his words and stature. When he became submissive, it felt awkward to the Caretaker but she gave a short nod and cleared her throat, speaking again and trying to remain...whole, "It's a pleasure to meet you Chayton. I'm Caretaker Genevieve...you have come to the right place. Though...I am not much, I am here to accept you...unless you'd like for me to call someone more...capable? If not, then we'll make this short so you don't have to be burdened. Oh, please do rise from that position, you look silly...being such a large size and all, it doesn't become you." Genevieve let her rump fall onto the ground, her eyes gently scanning Chayton until he showed signs he understood what she was saying.

"So...I guess we should begin with your skills...I can see you as a fine fighter, Chayon. You're a very large wolf for sure, though my Alpha surpasses, ha, he surpasses most around here. You can tell me of your past if you'd like, but it's not necessary, either way we will accept you for you and not your misfortunes." Her tone was light and angelic, nothing short of feminine. Her small frame drifted in the wind, accepting the bitter, frigid air and not letting the winter bother her structure.

[Sorry this is so short >.<]

He lifted himself to his paws as she told him to, chuckling slightly, as he settled onto his haunches, his rigid form from earlier but a memory, and his gaze was kind now, yet held a hardness to it from his travels and the memories of what was in his past that she had mentioned. She had also said he didn't have to tell her, so he decided not to, instead bowing his head for a moment to say, quite solemnly, "I'd rather not mention much of my past. It is behind me and I surge forward towards the end. I do think of my past, but it is not a subject I like to dwell on and speak of." Closing his maw, he studied her with inquisitive eyes, leaning slightly on his right front paw more than his left, and he then said in a gentlemanly tone, "It is my pleasure to be in your prescence madame Genevieve."

Pausing again, he tilted his head to the left, and spoke in a stronger tone than before, "Yes, I am a good fighter. I'm decent at hunting, but my skill is definately fighting." He thought briefly of the ruthless battles he had been in while journeying, and decided it'd be best not to mention those, in case that was looked upon in this pack, which it probably was, since in most packs that was the way it seemed. "Will I be tested against any other wolves for you to gauge how experienced I am?" The question had popped out of his mouth before he thought of it properly, and he somewhat sheepishly hung his head a little because he was always scolded for 'speaking before thinking' as a younger male, and he half-expected this femme to scold him as well, but then again, he had just met her and she seemed more on the shy side, not bold enough to do that, or at least in his opinion.

Genevieve studied his motions as he spoke, a deep tone becoming his male aura with a firm stance. She nodded, approving of his decision not to speak of his past and not holding a grudge against him for doing so. He appeared slightly uncomfortable but Genevieve could not be sure so she did try to comfort him. As he replied to her name, giving the familiar 'nice to meet you' like response, Genevieve let a small grin become her, simply nodding while murmuring, though she had already said it, "You as well."

Genevieve had assumed right by the male's size as he confirmed his fighting strengths. Hunting was a necessary but more common, fighting was a more born skill. As she listened, she occasionally bobbed her head in a slight nod to let him know she understood. "Good heavens no, we do not have judging spars in this pack. We are of love, peace and fight with words instead. Though we still value fighting aspects and keep a strong defense. You seem fitting to me. Welcome to the pack, Warrior Chayton." Genevieve bowed her head in respect at the newly recruited Warrior and slowly began to back away, "I suppose you wish to explore now? I shall leave you to your curiosity."
