In just a few short months, everything had changed for him. He went from Rogue to Alpha in what seemed like an instant. The snow had started to fall over the lands, building and toppling over itself as the winds grew thick and hard. They cut through the coats of wolves unprepared and swept the ice over everything. Days were cold, but nights had been colder. Things which once showed life or purpose, now lingered in their death and frost covered form. His coat was thickening and growing to allow the warmth to stay within his body. His green eyes watched as the snow swept over itself. The large brute moved from his protective den, leering out to the world around him. Everything was white. He walked out slowly, careful not to wake the sleeping wolves in the dead of night. He did not need the pack to worry about him or even follow him. The lands he was seeking were no place for pack wolves. Since Agavos smelled of him, he would be able to slip in and out of the Rogue territories if he pleased to do so. He made way for them, knowing exactly where he was to go. Even in the ice and cold, he could smell the heat of the females within his pack. It was growing and it was strong. It had been much stronger than he ever thought heat had smelled. Perhaps it was for the fact he was excited to be experiencing this for the first time. He had never laid with a female, nor been so close to even touch one. He had no want for it, but the idea that some of his little ones would be wandering around, maybe one day they would come and seek him out. Desmond moved quickly trudging through the snow. It clung to his pads and stuck to his whole paws. His ears listened for any noises which might be around him. The fleeing sound of small creatures was normal for him, but large predators would surely be out of harm's way or resting away in their dens. The brute knew what he was doing and just how he would do it.

As he made his way to the target, his head hung high. It was a trait he had picked up from watching his father as Alpha. But Desmond did not want to give away the impression that he was of any importance to any wolf. He was, after all, still trying to live the life of a Rogue. His pack new different, but perhaps the half-blind fae did not know his truth. There would be no need to tell her of any suspicious activities within pack life or anything of the sort. Instead, he would hide it like a mask of mud. He would drench himself in his old ways, resting his head in a neutral stance, as the rest of his body swayed with his movements. He had no intention of staying long with the Rogue female, just doing his part and heading back to the lands he now called home. If she asked about his whereabouts, of course he would fabricate a fib for her. He would die before he actually told her the truth and if she already knew, he would lie even more to make it seem like it was just a dumb rumor. Making his way to the den, he stood on the outside, in the snow, and waited for any kind of rustling within. He cleared his throat and spoke into the entrance, as he leaned in closely. "Oltulysa, your prince has arrived. I bring gifts and other things. Are you in your quarters?" He chuckled gently to himself as he waited for her response. The nerves bubbled up in his gut, but he was very calm and relaxed about the whole situation. He didn't want to look like a twitter-pated fool.

The fae had spent the day preening herself and grooming her fur to a glossy sheen. Her den had been swept of debris and a fresh hare lay towards the back for her shared dinner that evening. Being busy cept the fae from giving in to the feelings of her heat, for they had been raging within her for two night now. Almost growling with anticipation she waited patiently for her suitor, eager to be rid of this feeling within her. Oltulysa paced the cave floor, minutes passing in her mind as she tried willing Desmond to come. Her claws clicked on the hard packed earth and her thick winter coat stood up on end to warm her body. A cold wind then blew into the den and with it carried the scent of the male she yearned for. Perking up instantly her tail wagged behind her and a small whine escaped her maw. Not hiding the oozing yearning she held for the male at this time she bounded to him, her ears back and her tail low. Whining like a pup her maw nuzzled under his maw and his tongue licked at his lower jaw and chin. Knowing she was being ridiculous her body quivered with excitement as her feet danced before him.

"I am here my prince, come and enter my den please." She nearly begged to him, dancing backwards and bounding back into the shadows. Going over to the hare she tossed it up in the air to catch it perfectly in a pup like act. "Eat if you like or we can engage in other things first if it suits you." She purred, her voice ending with a wink in his direction. He looked different in the dim light of the den opening when she finally stopped her games to look seriously at her suitor. Tales around the lands told that he had started a pack lose by and became its sole ruler. By the looks of him and the myriad of smells faintly on his fur she guessed it to be true. The fact that he hadn't told her out right meant little to her, for it was his own business and she had no need to pry. Even if he had told her, it mattered little for she wouldn't join the pack. The fact that he wasn't a rogue anymore didn't bother the fae, for a male was a male deep down, no matter where he called home.
