"Well, well, well, so this is the land that I have been looking for." Here he stood, his frame a few feet from the border to the lands of the leader that he had sought out to find. Since he had heard of the rumor he had kept traveling on, not much more than that at all. It was rather uneventful, he walked alone, for starters, and the only other contact he had with another wolf was to ask if he was going in the right direction. His jaws hadn't clamped down on another wolf's flesh, nor had they tasted the metallic tasting red liquid of his own kind for a few months. He was in desperate need of a fight or spar, or just a plain kill. But in no way would he let the wolves here know that he craved for violence. However, perhaps it was necessary for him to prove his worth, he wasn't as young as he used to be, but he could still hold a decent fight and give a nasty bite. This place was unknown, and if the Alpha wasn't who he thought it would be he doubted he would join it at all. He had gotten along just fine as a rouge and definitely would until the end of his days. His curiosity had brought him here, not the need to find a place to stay. And if his brother did live here as the leader as he hypothesized, he would serve under him again. Lyonitus did demand respect, however he knew what his brother is or was capable of and had not minded being lower than him when he was with him. Yes he would have liked the ranking of Alpha for himself, but he knew that his cruel sibling was a good choice at the time, so he wasn't greatly disappointed for too long.

The time now was dawn, the sun just barely rising up from the ground and the tips of the sky were becoming a dark blue. Any wolf that would come to greet him now wouldn't be too happy, or they would be resting. But what fun is it if there isn't a little bit of tension here at the borders? Besides, there had to be at least one high ranked wolf up at this time, there were things that needed to be attended to. And if there wasn't well the beast of a brute would have to be sat here until they patrolled the borders, and then he wouldn't be a happy camper. Either way he would give his call now and wait to see what would happen. He was eager to know the name of the Alpha whom had caught his attention with just a rumor. So he raised his head to the sky, his jaws parting to let a loud, strong howl through the early morning air. If any birds were still resting, surely those close by weren't anymore, and hopefully if all the wolves of Erenyx were resting, he had woken at least one.

As his call for a wolf came to an end his head lowered, eyes of green and silver-brown locking on the trees before him. They stood still, and the green plants they lay beneath them hid what was within. Flicking his tail and perking his ears, he stood waiting for one to come. His gaze never leaving the vegetation that marked the lands of the pack he had come to know more about. Patiently he would wait, and if the wolf that came was not the leader, he would inquire about him immediately. "Let's see if this is where you have come, dear brother."

The sun had already begun to rise, but Teren had been up before it. The Alpha wandered the outskirts of his lands, looking for nothing whatsoever. He was just strolling on his way. He heard a call from the borders and immediately he knew the sound. No wolves had ever sounded so close to his own flesh and blood. The Alpha knew when a wolf was of his own flesh. They all had their unique sounds, and though he had not heard it for many years, he knew it as if he had heard it yesterday. The proud peppered wolf moved along his path. His once onyx coat had turned to grey patches around his body, age had caused this to happen. But it was going to be like this for the rest of his life. The Alpha did not care. It was life. He moved towards the sound steadily. He was not going to run for his brother, instead he would allow the brute to smell his scent around the territory. He wanted his kin to know that this was his pack. These lands all belonged to him. As he approached from behind the cover of trees, his head was higher than the others, and his tail hung straight over his spine. Yes he would parade his rank to every single member of his family. He was an Alpha once before and an Alpha he was once more. Only this time, he would die an Alpha. Never again would he search the lands as a lost wanderer, or have to answer to any wolf. "Brother." His tone was deep and he stared the other wolf right in the eyes. Would this wolf submit to his own blood. As he gazed into the bi-colored eyes, he could feel something within himself, memories lapsing one over the other. "What brings you to my lands?"

He did not wait long, but it was obvious that the one who made his way over was taking his time. Not that it mattered much to him, as long as a wolf came that would answer his questions, he would wait as long as they wanted. Sure yes it would tick him off, quite a bit to say the least, but he would wait, call every few hours or so to remind them of his awaiting presence. Thankfully however, it did not come to that. The familiar scent had drifted into his nose, different by age and experiences, but still memorable. He had been right, his brother was here, and he now had no doubts that the rumors were true now. His brother was a cruel demon, and he doubted that he was as bad as he was before, with the whole history of their now both ex-pack. Perhaps though he would be the only one who knew of that, and would see Teren for as he had improved, not lessened. And then he came, his skull held proudly high, and his tail  on display above his back. Most definitely the Alpha of Erenyx.. He still carries himself the same, if not more of a show off.. The black brute, who's pelt had now aged with grey, had always loved to show off his titles to his brothers. Like he was almost taunting them with it, mocking them about he had something that they wanted but couldn't quite grab. And the way he was acting now, similar to what he could remember, made Lyonitus' lips pull back in a crooked grin as his eyes gazed once again at his sibling.

"So my assumptions about the rumors, were correct.." He had let his brother speak first, as right of his title and ownership of the lands were his, it was mandatory. He could tell that the darker brute was being cautious of him a bit, wondering if his own blood would follow him once again. The sizable male would be threatening enough alone to an outsider, but as his brother it could be more dangerous. They had trained and competed against each other, and jealousy could make either rise or fall. But the male with the pelt of mixed brown did respect his brother, even if he wouldn't show much submission towards him, he would follow and support him, even after all their time apart. And to still confirm that respect as his brother asked his question, the bi-color eyed brute would dip his head before raising it back up, his orbs latching once again to the taller male. "Rumors brought me here, Teren. I had heard of Erenyx and of how a new leader had taken over. At first he had seemed better, but was soon found to be worse. I knew almost immediately that it was you, can't go wrong with brotherly instinct, now can you?"  He was only half teasing, he knew his brother would understand the instinct part of it, and he was sure his brother knew of how others would find his pack so terrifying. But it was up to him as to how he would take it, either negatively or positively. "But there is no need for you to carry yourself so highly around me. These lands are yours and I respect that, you got them in whatever way you did. And in this time of age, it would be pointless to take over something you might loose in a few years to death. But on another note, how have you been fairing? And why a new pack, the old one lose your interest?" He sincerely doubted that was the reason, but it was still a question worth asking. He had wondered what had become of his homelands, and now he was finally getting the chance to. He may not stay here, in a few minutes, hours, or never he could be on his way again. Or he could walk into those lands with the Alpha and live there until his last breath was given. The result of this encounter would remain unknown.

"Yes rumors. Glorious and dark rumors which actually speak the truth of my conquest. I came to these lands, a Rogue wolf, looking for a new place to make my own. I was met by the Alpha, Steele at the pack border. The brute tried to overpower me, but I bested him. He was nothing compared to my malice. He quickly was over thrown and I killed him before all the eyes of his pack. I ate his heart and ripped out the vocal cords for his bastard son. I tossed them at his feet. If you think I stand like this because I fear my own flesh and blood trying to strip me of what I deserve, you are foolish." Teren gave him a smirk, a snide smile. Age had not hindered his brother with bi-colored orbs. No, this beast was still as feisty as when they were young. "If you are seeking a place to lay your head and call home, then you have found one here... But even in your old age, you will still be required to fight and hunt. I hope your old bones haven't lost all their oomph. And if you find yourself bored, Caspian is here as well. He found me some time ago and serves as the Delta. If you think you deserve his rank, I encourage you to challenge him on such a thing. Lately he has been an annoyance, insubordinate and a weakling. If I were to ask you to fight me... Would you do so, or would you instead make excuses and deny my request?"

Horryfyingly, wonderful would be how he described how his brother took over the lands he now owned. And as he kept going on and on, telling of how the show went down, Lyonitus' chest rumbled with laughter that made its way through his jaws. Well earned was right. Eating the heart of another wolf, even that was something Teren hadn't done back home. His amusement ended however as soon as he finished, speaking of him as a fool if he thought that the Alpha feared for his position, his eyes narrowing at the half directed insult. "I know you do not fear for your title, brother. Just your stance was more exaggerated than it was before, almost as if you wanted to brag about it into my face. I am no fool, do not claim me as one. Your standing is well earned, indeed. So, out of curiosity, what's a wolf heart taste like? Enjoy your moment of cannibalism?" His tail flicked, moving from behind his legs to the left and then to the right. Resting back once again behind him, laying still. His brother had not changed much, just like he himself hadn't, or from what he could see at least. And it made him both relieved and disappointed, it would have been interesting to see how different he was, but maybe that was all in how he ruled now. And it seemed that soon he would find out. Offered a home as long as he promised that he could be useful, he could stay if he liked. But would he?

He could not help but let his eyes widen at the mention of Caspian. He was alive and here? Flesh and blood? Two of his kin that he hadn't seen since the day he was swept away by the river and never returned were here now. They had the chance to live together once more, and maybe the others would arrive soon. If they were even alive. "Little Ol' Caspian is here?" His brother of similar coating to Teren was in no way small, he was the same size as Lyonitus to be accurate. But in the way that his larger sibling had described his presence, he seemed to be no more than a child. "Brother, tell me why I would back down from sparring with someone actually worth the effort? No I would not find some sorry excuse to avoid it, that was not the way were were raised. And I'll see about taking over our dear Caspian's ranking in good time, knock some sense into him while I'm at it. Just need to get used to the feeling of being a pack wolf again.." He paused for a moment, a thought coming into his mind. One that he had been wondering for so long. "What did my raid party tell you when they returned, Teren? Had you and our brothers thought me dead?"

"The flesh of a wolf...?" he chuckled as he licked his lips in a sheer lustrous manner. "It is sweeter than the meat of a young calf, it is more tender than the aged rump of a buck. It is succulent, the taboo, the forbidden food. And I plucked it from the chaos and consumed. It was revolutionary. Why had I never done such a thing before?" He laughed as he finished his reply. But the conversation changed and Teren could feel the angst in his brother. Lyonitus was not Caspian. Just the other day, Teren had pressed all the buttons he could, and the wolf would not stand for it. He liked this. It was a good change. Perhaps having Lyonitus back with them, it would light the fire beneath Caspian's rear and get him into gear. This was exactly what he wanted. "Your party never returned. We thought all of you had died. But you know how life was, we moved quickly so even if you had been alive, it would have been hard for you to find us. But seeing you alive, before me now, I know that you truly are a strong and capable wolf. But because of your age, you will be granted the rank of Elder. Should you defeat Caspian in a challenge for his title, then you shall be the Delta, and he will be the Elder. Make me proud Lyonitus, but should you do any sort of treason, just know I have pawns all around this pack, I will enforce them as well as handling business myself." He nodded his head once and stared to the other. "You may go on now, go explore the lands of your new home. Prove yourself not a fool. Dn't make me regret letting you into Erenyx." Teren wandered from the borders, heading back to his den.
