PostSubject: When Does It End? [Tundra] When Does It End? [Tundra] Icon_minitimeAugust 6th 2015, 17:17

Summer was hot and he knew as the months progressed, it would be hotter. He didn't mind it, but he knew that soon it would pass and Autumn would be here. Autumn was a good time of the year. It wasn't too hot, nor too cold. It was perfect. The Winter was iffy at best, not the best time of the year for hunting was difficult, and the size of prey varied. Teren moved his form through the pack territory. He listened to the babbling of the wolves, and heard their attempts to train one another. Pitiful. Most of these wolves were just that. They lived in his pack, for now, until everything was to change. And things would change again. He wandered from the clearing in disgust, working his way to another area of the land. His tail hung over his back, most of the time it was this way in the pack. He knew he was hated. He knew the decisions he had made placed a large target over his spine. But he was not worried. They knew who their Alpha was and they saw what he was capable of once more. The brute longed to feel the hatred in his pack, for that in itself, was power. If you hate something so much, it will force you to be fueled with rage. Rage is created by adrenaline and so forth and so on. It's an endless cycle of sporadic attacks and malice. This was what he wanted. He wanted chaos! An emerald gaze stared at the world before him. It was silent. It was peaceful.

The Alpha approached the gorge towards the base. He wanted to feel the refreshing chill of the small current. He wanted to taste the mineral-filled water to quench his thirst and allow him to cool, even if only for a moment of two. Large black paws took their initial steps into the water. His gaze stared ahead, and turned to look behind him. The water was low this time of year as the rains were near extinct. There would be no worries of getting swept away or drowning, not that Teren had been afraid of it anyhow. Lowering his maw to the water, he lapped at the liquid, allowing it to slide down his throat. When he finished his drink, his head lifted high. He sniffed the area to find no close by bears or other predators. For once in a long while, Teren was completely alone. If any disturbed this, they would have a world of pain before them.

It had taken her much longer than expected to find the alpha's whereabouts. After going from wolf to wolf asking for the massive brute's location- she was given mainly looks that gave her the impression that whoever was giving it thought she was just completely insane or sometimes just a shrug of the shoulders or a muttered 'I don't know..' before they moved away. It sure did show a lot about the pack's relationship with their alpha anyway and it only succeeded on putting her further on edge. Finally it seemed someone had the ability of proper speech and said they had seen him set off in the direction of Maiden's Grotto, although..she did not miss the look shot in her direction afterwards. That 'why on earth would a normal ranked wolf and especially a fae, be looking for the brute instead of enjoying the time when he is away' type of look...or maybe she was imagining the looks being much more than they were. This caused her to glance back, nope definitely not. Of course it was a good question, why was this wolf searching for the demon himself? She inhaled deeply, keeping herself moving forward at a brisk trot across the lush grasses. The merciless heat beating down on her pelt did not effect her, in fact she did not even seem to notice it. Any background sounds like the rustling of little critters, singing of birds, rustling of trees all faded away to nothing. Her complete focus had gone to her mind and for a wolf who never felt such a thing like nerves..this was the closest she got. If one was to come across the Warrior they would definitely have a brief moment where they would almost consider her being a ghost-like creature. She almost seemed to drift forward, gaze hollow and unfocused, body automatically moving in the direction given. Of course she had to be focused in her mind rather than her surrounding at the moment, she had dealt with her own life being in danger so many times the effect had worn off but if she was to mess up this time she would not only be putting her life in danger but also possibly Samael's and this is what made her the most uncertain when it came to the plan she'd come up with. She had not even told the Exile..of course she could use the excuse that he had fallen to sleep but even if he had been awake she doubted she would let him know until it had already been done. That way there was nothing he could do about it because she had the slight suspicion he would not agree with what she was about to do.

Finally she reached her destination and had to force herself to leave the dark depths of her mind and focus on the area for the large black brute. Not too hard and she managed to spot the male in a matter of moments. He was in the shallow waters, standing tall and alert almost as if he knew she was coming. Teren was a huge wolf, she had almost forgotten just how large he was. Fell had been huge but in a way that made you feel safe and protected..Teren's was a very different largeness. It was much more intimidating. Sighing she stopped and leaned back on her haunches, making sure to get herself together. Locking that damn cage full of emotions and keeping focused. These words would be important. They would determine wether she lived or died. Good thing she was an expert at lying...She stood up and began to make her way in his direction- hazel gaze sharp and empty. There was three ways this could go..

Be successful. Get a high rank, be really on his good side. That'd be quite perfect and what she was currently aiming for.
Be semi-successful. End up with the same rank..but be on his good side. And live.
Be unsuccessful. Let's just say she did not want that to happen.

Finally she stood only inches from the brute, facing the back of his head. Quickly she remembered to keep that submissive posture, not wanting to seem like a threat in the slightest. That would not help. Her ears lay flat against her head and her tail trailed on the ground beneath her. With a simple blink of an empty lifeless gaze, she went for it. "Alpha Teren. I give my greatest apologies for disturbing you sir but I bring news...news I believe you will like." She had to admit she was slightly surprised with just how easy and natural it was. Her voice came out dead, emotionless but soft as usual. Eye's shining hollowly. There was no way to tell she was lying because there was no emotion. She stared ahead blankly, voice brisk and to the point. In fact she was almost excited to see what would happen, it was an old habit from the past and it just showed that even if you tried your very best- them little things stuck to you permanently.

Ter4en had found himself lost in the silence of the area that he did not hear the steps of the wolf approaching him. He did not sniff the air and try to see who it was, for he was unaware of the presence entirely. The Alpha was slightly startled when she spoke. His first instinct was to about face and attack the wolf who snuck up on him. But the voice was feminine, and therefore not dangerous. He turned his head to look back at the fae. He shared no emotions with her, and acted as though he had known she was there all along. He stared at her, noticing she immediately was submissive with him. His green eyes glared on still in the event she might try to look him in the eyes back. He was silent for a moment, hearing her words and thinking them over as she spoke them. What news could she possibly have that he would be interested in? This fae was one he had yet to officially meet. She was all white. He noted these attributes and kept them to himself. So there was a white wolf here. He thought about it long and hard. Had she found Azrael? Impossible. Only Caspian had known of such a task. If it was not that? What then? He had already known that Samael was dead. There was nothing of interest this fae would be able to tell him. "Though you have already disturbed me, you might as well tell me your news, and quickly.." It was apparent he was very intolerable to those who intruded on his alone time. She was no different.

PostSubject: Re: When Does It End? [Tundra] When Does It End? [Tundra] Icon_minitimeAugust 7th 2015, 17:24

It was impossible to tell if the large brute had been aware of her presence before she had spoken as he seemed to start at her words but also had a calm knowing glint in those piercing green eyes as if he had known she was going to be here. Flicking a single ear, her gaze shone hollowly as she held herself low against the ground and kept averting her gaze should it travel to the brute's for any length of time. She was not daunted by him, not in the 'oh I'm too brave way' but she could feel the comforting feeling of nothingness stretching through her and had to admit it was an odd time to feel such emotionlessness. However she kept with it, fully aware that it could only help with what she was about to do. She could feel his gaze burning into her and shifted her position on the cool ground. She had never personally been in the alpha's presence before, only having been addressed by him during challenges and pack gatherings and she could tell that he did not know her by name. Her long white tail swished across the ground but otherwise she was completely still, breath calm and steady. She dared glance upwards for a brief moment and caught the thoughtful look deep in those eyes that had seen more cruelty than most but there was a little catch, unlike most, these eyes had enjoyed seeing it. Her gaze once again dipped respectfully, not daring to make eye contact until she was certain on how much respect he demanded from her. Her current guess was a lot. What was he thinking about? Was he mulling over the possibilities that could be good news to him? Or was he considering on wether to let her speak or chase her away? She did not know and gave up her little guessing game to instead wait. Patience was key.

Finally he spoke in a tone that was deep and confident but cold and curt- straight to the point. She gave a quick nod- only raising herself from the ground slightly so she could speak to him with more ease. However she was not going to get too cocky here and still kept herself in a semi-crouch, eyes fixed on his chest as she spoke in a voice that sounded almost mechanical in her now perked ears. "Do you remember the brute Samael? Well of course you do...Anyway, that little bad blooded son of Steele's is...or was still alive. Someone had tended to his injuries..some rogue took pity on him it seems" She stopped for a moment, gathering her thoughts quickly. Careful Tundra... She had to play it safe, Sam's wounds had been tended to by a proper healer...who it was she did not know but the last thing she needed was Teren rounding up all the pack's healers because of her. No, the rogue thing seemed convincing enough to her. If a rogue with healing skills had come across injured Samael of course they would help..they would not know enough about Erenyx to know just how much danger doing this put them in. "I came across him in the Neutral Lands, little cocky jerk strutting about like he owned the place, fool." At this she let a soft chuckle escape her, eyes glittering savagely and for a moment she felt slightly troubled at just how easy these expressions were. It felt just like in the past, telling her current gang leader of the successful day and listing off the killings with the exact same sly grin that curled at the corners of her maw right now. Not very relieving. However all troubles were buried away for the time being, they would do her no good if they were to escape into the open. Tilting her head to the side, she once again spoke- words soft and silky yet filled with a hidden menace. It had been while since she'd fallen back into this personality, a mixture of what had been her past self and what she had been like when first finding these lands.

"He is no longer a problem, I recognized him as the traitor to my Alpha and I dealt with him. He was much easier to take down than I expected, he did not even manage to get a blow in before I had him down and tore into his throat. I had not realized how much of a fool he had been, he spent so much time blabbing on about his greatness to have survived that he did not even get a chance to retaliate before I took his life." The full wicked grin was now present, eyes glittering with malice. This was unnervingly easy to act out, it just proved how many times it had been played out in her past....She now stood- however keeping her tail and ears low. Her hazel gaze glinted as she risked a small step forward- smile dancing along her black lips.

"Alpha Teren" She whispered "Exile Samael is dead."

Staring at the fae, he could see the uncomfortable feeling his mere presence was giving her. She had something important to tell him, this much he knew. But she was a horrid speaker. How could he forget the son who he had forced to become a father-less mess? How could he forget the brute who he abused and exiled? Such a crazed little fae stood before him. He grew tired of her uneasy behavior. Though he knew it was just. Teren was a very domineering wolf. He demanded respect and virtue. The Alpha stared at her still, finally finding a break in her words. "Get on with it.." he snarled as he allowed his lips to raise, exposing the jagged fangs, yellowed by the stained blood of the past. Yes, he was cocky, he thought he was invincible. He thought he was a god from another planet brought here to bring an end to Teren's mighty reign. And yet, he failed. He failed his family, his honor, and his own name. If there were any who wished him to live as the Alpha, he supposed they would change their tune now. The Alpha had to be the best fighter in all the lands, able to defend themselves as well as their throne. The smaller male, though rather large compared to the rest, was no match for Teren. He fled, unable to take the pack over for his own. But the fae finally got the words out of her mouth and went on with her story. She told a small tale about how he was, cocky and unable to best the well Warrior. It struck Teren as strange he did not know this fae's name. She had told him he was healed. She suggested it was a Rogue, but of the Rogues he had heard of, none of them had ever seemed like the helpful type. No, a wolf had helped him. A pack wolf. But who? Before trying to rummage through his mind, seeking names of those who may have done it, she spoke one last time. It was soft as a whisper and subtle, as if someone may be listening nearby.

What happened next, Teren was surprised with himself. Opening his maw wide, his laugh started low and grew louder as the words filled his mind. His laugh was true and filled the area, echoing off the walls and the water around them. The water rippled and shook, creating little waves to happen. The Alpha could not believe was he was hearing. "White wolf, you have done well for your Alpha on this day. You have slain the one wolf I requested my pack to do. You have proven your worth to me, to all of Erenyx. I wish to see his body. I want to know that he is in fact dead. I will send someone to fetch his body. I wish to sleep with his pelt within my den. I want all to know that you do not mess with the Alpha of Erenyx. Teren is here to stay as King. Come hell or high water, I will reign supreme. As for you, you shall be granted the rank of Guardian. No other wolves have even tried to kill the little wretch, I doubt any of them have actually tried to find him. What is the name of my newest Guardian?"

PostSubject: Re: When Does It End? [Tundra] When Does It End? [Tundra] Icon_minitimeAugust 14th 2015, 14:58

She could almost feel the impatience rolling from the large brute. She swore she could feel it crackling in the air around her, like a huge storm ready to pounce and explode into Thunder and Lightening. She would not like to see what would happen if Teren reached the end of what little patience he still had. No happy thoughts there....Flicking her tail uneasily, her empty hazel gaze would travel across the huge brute in an assessing manner. He was so large, completely made of muscle...Samael would need to have some plan or tactic when it came to going up against this alpha. She could hardly see a full head on attack working, Teren was bigger and therefore stronger. But maybe she was underestimating the Exile...it was hard to tell. She could still feel those piercing green eyes bearing into her though she did not dare raise her own gaze high enough to meet them. This mere conversation was full of enough risks, she didn't need to create any more by getting cocky. Anger sparked through her as he loomed over her- the threat clear in the snarl strung in with his words as he grew tired of the length of time it was taking for her to state the exact reason for finding him here. However she forced the anger away, calming herself with thoughts of this cocky idiot dying in multiple ways, each one worse than the other. 'Snarl away at me now you cocky bastard...let's see who'll be the one on top when death finally greets you to escort you to the the depths of hell' She thought to herself, longing to see the look on his face if she actually spoke these words aloud. However she was not stupid, such words would only get her killed and what help would she be to Samael then? So she remained silent, the words in her mind remaining only for her to hear. She did speak faster after she was commanded to, got to keep the big boy happy after all. When finally finishing with her soft , silky words- she watched tensely as he took them in.

This was it, this would determine her fate she supposed...so dramatic. Her tongue ran over pearly white fangs as she sat there, any rebellious nerves being chased away by nagging curiosity. And then her ears fell right back against her head, body tensing slightly as a rumble in his chest was released in a sharp yet deep and throaty sound. It actually took her a few moments to realize that he was laughing, laughing. She relaxed again, head tilted to the side quizzically. This reaction still had her confused, was it positive or negative? Laughing was considered a positive sound of course but it was impossible to tell if this laughter was real or mocking. He could easily be laughing at a frail attempt to trick him into believing the Exile was dead. Water splashed gently over her creamy paws as the water rippled from the rumbling laugh that echoed through the cave of sorts, bouncing off the walls. If she had to guess...she'd say it was a pretty real laugh but it wasn't exactly a strong point of hers considering the fact that aside from the occasional chuckle, Tundra was not exactly the laughing type. However as he began to speak, she felt relief hit her as it became obvious that she had succeeded, well..partially succeeded anyway. She could feel part of her almost take in the praise granted by the demon before her before pushing it all away, every wolf would probably still have a slight flicker of pride at being praised by the alpha even if he was such a jerk but Tundra pushed it away with ease. She only had to think of what he was praising her for to let nothing but a boiling anger bubble in the pit of her stomach.

A body...he wanted a body. Dammit why had she not thought of this before? Or maybe she had, maybe she had but had just gone on the the hope that her words alone would be enough. But of course they wouldn't, this was after all, Teren that she was speaking to. Of course he'd want the pelt, he'd want to brag over this kill all right. She had to think quick, needed something clever and easy to believe. However he was not quite finished speaking and she forced herself to remain completely still and calm- gaze observing him almost lazily although she remembered to keep the respect glowing deep in the hazel depths of her eyes. He continued to brag openly in front of her, having no shame when it came to the words flowing from his mouth. But of course not, she would only be surprised if this brute didn't brag about or get all cocky and dominant over something. Soon...Soon that would hopefully change. She remained silent and still, gaze calm and even as he spoke of her completing tasks no one else did and came as close to praising her as his wolf ever would. She gave a small dip of her head in acknowledgement however one word was given to her that made interest leak into her gaze and a grin to tug at the corners of her maw. Guardian. She was to be Teren's Guardian. She had been very successful indeed. With a sly grin, she stood in one graceful movement- tail swishing over to her side. Lifting her hazel gaze, she let it meet his for a few moments before dipping her head and glancing away again. "Tundra. Her name is Tundra." She stated, voice firm and calm. She turned away, putting a small bit of distance between the two as she took a few steps forward before leaning back on her haunches, gazing out across the lands of Erenyx. "Do you think the body will still be there? I mean I killed him early last night. I found him in what could possibly be the furthest named piece of neutral territories from our territory since I guess he was keeping his distance. Anyway, it took me all night to travel back here and you know- he was very near to the Rogue's territory. I've heard some very odd things about the way they lived...I wouldn't be surprised if one had already eaten him or used his pelt for warmth. Or even if they haven't, other scavengers probably would not leave a carcass lying out untouched." She murmured with a shrug, gaze shining in the sunlight as she turned back to face him. "I am honored to be chosen as your Guardian sir and will not make you regret such a choice." She said firmly, the lie passing through her lips much too easily.

For a few moments she remained sitting in complete silence, gaze dark and impossible to read. Now was an appropriate time to leave if he dismissed her but something held her back, something kept her sitting near him. She may hate his guts for what he had done and was planning to do to Samael, but that did not make him an interesting wolf in a weird twisted way. But hey, how could she be one to judge. She wanted to know more about this feared brute and anyway...it would be handy to learn more about your enemies right? She was thirsty but not for the water only paw-lengths away, no, this was a thirst for information. The only thing that would quench her curiosity would be information but of course, if she failed to get anything the curiosity would be once again pushed and locked away with ease. She had already gotten what she had come from, Teren thought Samael was dead and she was now his trusted Guardian. She could not risk any of that to quench some curiosity. So for now she'd play around with the emotion but keep it on a tight lead so if it tried to make a move to control her she could easily push it away and trap it once again...

PostSubject: Re: When Does It End? [Tundra] When Does It End? [Tundra] Icon_minitimeAugust 14th 2015, 22:13

Throughout the conversation, the fae did not lift her eyes to meet his own. No, they stayed down. This was good. Only idiotic wolves would do such a thing to the Alpha himself. None had lived to tell about, all but one. The Alpha listened as the silence lived on after his words. The small waves of water rushed over him, keeping his paws still damp from the liquid. The moisture was thick in the air and with each breath, he could feel it tightening around him. But he did not care, what was important was this news. But as Tundra began to speak, Teren could only envision the massacre that fell upon the body of the dead wolf. He imagined their fight, Tundra sub-doing him easily. He imagined the whelp begging or his life to be spared, just as Steele had done. He had hoped he could have seen it for himself, or at least gotten t eat the heart of his adversary once more. He could not decide whether wolf hearts tasted great, or it was only the bloodline which ran through them. The extra large male looked down at the fae, still imaging all the horrible things to come to Samael. Perhaps the vultures would find his corpse and rip the meat from the bones, swallowing it and enjoying their feast. Or the insane rogues would discover it and fight over the remains of what was once a life form. Whatever it was that happened to the young male, Teren knew her words would be correct. If she had killed him in the early hours of evening, it was more than likely his body would be gone. What a damn shame that would be. He had more than enough pelts within his den, but another one couldn't hurt... especially one that he forced to be filled with rage. Though it was sad that Teren did not have the honor of unleashing the final blow. This Tundra fae had been given that option. But he had to admit, it was sickening to see a fae in a high position once again in his pack. He swore right then and there, that if he ever discovered any wolves betrayed his trust, he would not reduce them down to Omegas, but he would end their lives. No second chances, no begging to keep their lives. They would die. "Valid point. Now run along fae, spread your news with the pack if you must for validation of your good deed and rank. Though if you slip up, if one hair is out of place, I will end you." His stare was cold and evil. He meant every word he spoke to her. Should she be found lying to him, he would eat her little heart out.

The abnormally large brute had fallen silent, yet there was pleasure glittering in those green eyes of his and she had the feeling that he was imagining the death of the Exiled brute. He really was a sick and twisted wolf. Well of course he was, what sane wolf ate the hearts of their victims? Although she had not been there to witness the death of Erenyx's former alpha, she had heard the story enough times to imagine it pretty easily. Sitting there in silence, she let her gaze wander as she gave him time to get over his sick joy and speak again. The sun glittered on the water's surface and she fought the urge to bend down and drink it, she wasn't overly thirsty so she didn't mind waiting until later. It was best to play it safe for the time being and not do anything that Teren might find 'disrespectful'. She could not help but wonder what was going on his his psychotic mind and once again risked a glance at his face to see it still thoughtful but a little darker than it had been and less gleeful. Looking down again, she wondered how Samael would react after hearing about what she had signed herself up to. He probably wouldn't be happy about it but ah well, it helped her to know she was doing someone some good in her life.

Finally he spoke and she listened attentively, ears perked atop her head. As he spoke, ending it with a threat, she nodded grimly. She definitely took that threat seriously. At least he had believed the whole thing with there probably not still being a body, that could've been a problem. Now hopefully Samael would not be spotted by another Erenyx wolf before she got the news to him though she knew all lies could never last forever, some day Teren would find out that she'd lied and she would have to be ready. However for now all she had to do was play along. She dipped her head respectfully and turned in the direction of the heart of the territory. Glancing back over her shoulder, she spoke in a calm and clear voice yet it was void of all emotion except for a tinge of fake respect. "Thank you Alpha Teren. You will not regret this." And with that she was gone, her white form becoming smaller and smaller before she was out of sight as she trotted off at a quick and steady pace. It was time for the game to really begin.
