Small clouds of fog formed with each warm breath as the fae paced on, determined to find somewhere she could settle for the time being. The surroundings were beautiful; rich tones and earthy scents pleasing the senses, making Jinx feel calm and content. It had been a long while since the huntress last came into contact with another wolf and she was fine with that. She grew up being independent, therefore living a solitary life and being alone was what the fae preferred the majority of the time, but she couldn't survive forever on her own. Unfamiliar wolf scents became distinguishable from the intermingled delicate smell of the fallen leaves beginning to rot. Jinx's senses heightened as she grew increasingly wary of where she was heading. The scents were fresh, leading the lone she-wolf to believe that she had made her way near to a pack's lands. She could find herself in a dangerous situation if the nearby pack were anything like her birth pack. However, she was willing to take a risk as she was seeking a place where she would belong. Her ears stood on end and swiveled to the noises around her, while her eyes focused closely on any movements, as she was alert to anything that was to happen. She was prepared to fight should she be attacked, but for now her muscles were relaxed. Jinx's tail remained low while she waited cautiously for one of the resident wolves to notice her presence by the border.

Chiara had been roaming the border for some time when the wind picked up. Blowing back her fur the breeze hit her hard in the face and brought with it the scent of another wolf. Pricking her ears she grew confused as no howl from the border was heard, yet the foreign smell was coming near the border. Curious the fae walked forward toward the scent, quickly discovering the source. By the border stood a odd looking fae, one who's facial features reminded her of a raccoon. Approaching the fae Chiara cleared her throat and tried to stand tall, though falling short to even this wolf. "Greetings stranger who are you and why have you come to my border without calling a greeting?" She questioned, sizing up the younger fae. "I am Chiara Alphess of these lands called Pyrvanthros, what is it you seek here?" With a voice held with dignity and strength she waited for a response, her tail twitching behind her. She knew the pack needed more members, ones who knew proper pack etiquette. Hopefully this fae would be one of them, would submit and the process could begin.

It wasn't long before a smaller fae appeared, Jinx's pale eyes locking onto her at first sight. As she came closer, the huntress who was seeking acceptance bowed her head, figuring now was the time to show respect. She had rarely done so in the past to those she did not know, but she knew she had to if she was to be given a chance to cross this border. It wasn't just a stranger or another loner that she was talking to now. The one who approached her was a pack wolf and probably of high rank, whereas Jinx belonged nowhere and had no authority here. The Eurasian fae knew all about when to submit, since the pack she came from had hostile wolves in power and she had needed to do so on occasion to save herself from harm or punishment, yet she wouldn't roll belly up for them. Nothing would crush her dignity to that extent, but she knew the ranks and ways to respect wolves in her pack when she needed to. "Hello, I'm Jinx. I was observing the surroundings, though I would have made you aware of my presence soon enough. My apologies if I made you believe that I have bad intentions, I was simply wary." She stated, remaining composed as to not threaten the older fae. Her prediction was right about the darker coloured female being of high authority, as it turned out she was the Alphess of the resident wolves. "I wish to join your pack and live within the lands of Pyrvanthros. I served mainly as a hunter in my previous pack and I believe I would excel in that position, should you accept me." Jinx then stood there silently, hoping that this day was going to be the start of a new chapter of her life.

With her submission Chiara smiled slightly. The fae seemed polite and knew proper procedure for this sort of thing, all good things. "Pleasure to meet you Jinx, you have every right to be wary. There is a pack near here that treats fae's horribly, especially if they don't follow basic rules. Luckily for you my pack is not like them." She explained, lowering into a sit. The fae continued to speak, talking of how she should be a hunter. Smirking a bit Chiara rose and looked into the woods behind them. "I wish to see how you excel in hunting. With winter coming soon we need competent hunters to feed the pack. Go into the woods of my lands and kill a squirrel for they are plentiful. Do this quickly and we shall talk more of what we can do for each other." She said, stepping aside slightly to give her access into the forest behind her.

Chiara would wait for her to return before asking her two questions. "What sort of pack did you come from prior to this? I rule with the promise of equality between all members. Wolves shouldn't fear me, but respect me for I let them speak freely. I also offer equal training to all ranks and believe in well rounded wolves. What do you think of that?" Her voice was warm yet full of passion. With her ever growing pack she saw more and more chances to become the supreme pack in the area.

At the mention of a nearby pack that treats faes horribly, Jinx felt a sense of relief that she had stumbled upon Pyrvanthros rather than any of the neighboring packs. She knew all too well how it felt to live amongst a pack which was full of fear, for the higher ranks of her old pack often were harsh to the members simply because they had the authority to do so. The fair-minded Alphess of Pyrvanthros wished to see Jinx's hunting ability and she was happy to obey the Alphess' command, the corners of the fae's mouth lifting gently. With permission to enter the forest, the eager fae dashed forwards, her senses alert and focused on catching a squirrel. Once under the canopy of the forest, she slowed into a careful stalking position, remaining as quiet as possible. The fae's eyes remained on the trees above as she could see and hear the branches moving. With closer inspection, she caught a glimpse of one of the small creatures; her target was now initiated. Following the swinging animal slightly deeper into the forest as it went from tree to tree, Jinx patiently waited for it to come to the ground so that she could strike. Her high stamina wasn't required for this kill as she wasn't going to be running for longer distances if her attack was to succeed. Shortly, the squirrel scurried down the bark of the tree that it was on. Jinx silently positioned herself out of the creature's sight and upwind of it so her scent didn't carry. Just before it made contact with the ground, the huntress pounced onto it and killed it without hesitation, crushing its body between her jaws. She was going to prove her skills to the Alphess and was not going to let a small squirrel make her look bad. With the squirrel within her maw, the fae trotted back to her original position with the Alphess and dropped the animal in front of her before sitting. She listened to Chiara's words before proceeding to answer her questions. "I come from a pack where there was no equality as such. It was driven by authority and constant want for power. The higher ranks were greedy and would not hesitate to put a wolf in their place. They were vicious and would often fight with neighboring packs to expand their territory, so the majority of the wolves were trained to fight even if they weren't warriors, hence why I have basic fighting skills." Her voice was softer than before. "I approve of everything your pack stands for, Alphess Chiara. It would be an honor to serve you and your pack."

Chiara remained where she was, feeling the brush of wind pass as the fae darted past her. Waiting patiently she was pleased with how quickly the ashen fae caught the prey and returned to her. Looking down at it she saw neat and clean teeth marks, no gashes and torn flesh like some hunters were known for. "Very good Jinx." She complimented, bringing her gaze up to her. She listened to her responses, taking in her words and developing a picture in her mind of what her last pack was like. "However unfortunate your last home was it is good that you managed to pick up some fighting moves. Here all ranks need to learn hunting, fighting, defense and some minor healing remedies. This way in times of strife all call pull together." She explained.

"All I need is your pledge to myself, my mate as Alpha and my pack. A pledge to serve us and lay down your life if needed. Do this and you may enter as a full hunter." She said, her voice stronger now. She saw great promise in this ashen fae. A strong determination and a good head on her shoulders. Curious to see what she would say Chiara waited and listened.

Jinx bowed her head proudly as Chiara complimented her efforts, feeling a pup-like sense of happiness which she hadn't previously experienced. The fae felt that she would be valued and treated equally with respect in the pack that the Alphess spoke highly of. "I know a thing or two about healing, though it has been a long time since I was taught." She added after Chiara mentioned that all wolves were taught a range of skills, like she had been when she was younger. It was decided in the fae's mind that she was going to join Pyrvanthros and after showcasing her hunting ability, all that was left was to make a pledge. Pausing for a moment, Jinx thought of what to say. "I promise that I shall commit myself to you, your mate, and other pack members with my life." She spoke with complete sincerity. The future seemed like it was going to be brighter, since the days of living in fear were behind her. There were more opportunities open to the fae now that she had found a pack with good morals. Jinx anticipated making a good impression within the pack once she was accepted. Things were likely to change for the independent huntress.

Chiara nodded her head in approval, "We shall have to change that won't we? The other task will be to have all members able and willing to watch and train the pups. I have a feeling this will be the most difficult thing to instill. However we won't have to worry about that this year as myself and Magnus wish to focus on improving the pack before having more pups." She said with a chuckle. Jinx then made her pledge and the deed was done. "Very well from this moment on you shall be known as Hunter Jinx. Hunting and feeding the pack shall be your first priority, but soon cross over training will start. You are welcome to follow me back to camp or explore if you wish." She offered turning to leave. "Welcome home Hunter Jinx, shall we?" She said starting to walk back to camp.

ooc-You may now change your name to Hunter Jinx and join Pyrvanthros under the rank tabs to change your name to purple!!!
