PostSubject: Hunting Dreams - Border November 17th 2015, 19:48

Day turned to night, and the lone wolf was completely lost. He had no direct path to follow or where he wanted to go. He took a step forward, trying to make his way for anywhere but where he was. Winter was coming soon. It nipped at his coat, trying to pry through the hairs and make it to his flesh. He would not allow himself to be alone for another chilling winter. As he moved, he could feel his muscles tightening and relaxing with each step. His tail swayed gently from side to side, and his shoulders rolled gently back and forth. It was a peaceful stroll. Not too quick and not too slow. The male was silent in his approach, careful not to make any loud noises to disturb the world around him. After all, if one creature popped up to run, the game would begin. The hunt would finally be on. He would soon have the smell of fresh blood resting upon his muzzle. The thought of this forced his stomach to rumble. Perhaps he did grow hungry. He looked left and then right. Nothing was near him, but he was sure that if he wanted something to rear its ugly head, he could make noise. He found a large branch and walked over to it carefully. He wrapped his jaws around it and held tight. Swinging it from the left and flinging it to the right, he launched it towards the rest of the woods. As it sailed through the air, it spun and twirled, forcing all kinds of ruckus to come from it.

It was not long before the branch hit the floor with a thud. Birds and small woodland creatures fled from their nests and burrows. But it was not any of these things that he wanted. No, it was of the much larger variety. There would be no small fawns, but almost yearlings. Yes, they would be quicker than a baby, but their meat would be just as brilliant. The male waited patiently, looking and looking until he finally saw what he really wanted. A couple of them were running together. Quick on his paws, the male raced from his point, heading directly for them. During the chase, he watched to see which was slower, which was weaker. He would find the worse of the two to take down. They would be much easier than the other one, for sure. As he dashed through the trees, his blue eyes were set on the prize. It was crazy to find these creatures running like this at night, but he had done the ultimate scare, just for them. His tail waved in the air behind him as dirt kicked up from his paws. He smelled their scents and found one of them had a wound already, Apparently the quick pace had forced it to reopen. He smiled as devilish grin and jumped for the prey's backside.

Launching himself on the rump, he used his body to swing towards the opposite direction. The weight of he plus the creature forced them to sweep towards the floor. His teeth clamped down as hard as he possibly could. He was not letting go for his own life. This creature would die and he would have a pleasant and plump feast, or perhaps a gift for the wolves that accepted him into their pack. As the creature released a noise, he knew the end was coming. He pounced from the back and riped into the steaming flesh. His body was warm and juicy, filled with the young vitality of youth. He ripped and tore the thing apart, blood covering his muzzle, chest and face. As the night carried on, he finally began to eat. Yes, he did eat from the kill. It would be less for them to have to carry. As he moved to the stomach of the creature, he raised his mighty head into the night sky and released a victorious howl. It alerted the whole area that he had hunted, and he had won. Now it was time to collect his other prize, a brand new home, a place to finally belong.

It was getting late, but Chiara wasn't the least bit tired. Her pack was growing each day and this made her smile. More wolves were seeking out her pack for it values instead of the other three in the area. She knew soon they would grow into a large force, one none would mess with. In the back of her mind she thought of having a training session soon. One where she could evaluate each members strengths and weaknesses. After that she would do as she said to Paislee and pair up wolves to help each other. This would leave promotions out in the open which she knew some wolves sought out.

With her mind full of ideas her paws led her near the border once more, ever hopeful of more members to join. Her ears caught the sound of a howl and in a flash she ran towards in. The smell of blood was soon in the air she Chiara grew wary. Soon coming the the source her tail curled as she saw a male gleaming over his kill. He had not been on her lands to hunt, yet she was still suspicious of him. "Greetings stranger I am Chiara Alphess of these lands called Pyrvanthros. What is your purpose from calling me here at this hour?" She questioned, eyeing his kill. "For your sake I hope that came from the neutral lands and you dragged it here as a peace offering, I don't take kindly to poaching." She warned, staring at him warily. She in no sense matched his height, so there was no staring him "down". However, her stance demanded respect from him and submission in this case.

It was not long before the hours of twilight brought before the pack's member to see him. He stood, perched atop the body of his prey, staring down to the fae before him. He moved off of his kill, jumping from the stomach and landing gracefully on all four paws. As he stood before the fae, he noticed he was taller than her. Seven centimeters to be exact. He smirked to her, and ran his tongue over his stained muzzle, trying to make it cleaner. He looked to her, trying to see exactly what rank she held in this pack. Her stance showed she was of some importance, but Killian was not one to be rude. He bowed his head and made sure his tail was no higher than his back. In fact, it laid relaxed between his legs. He lifted his head and spoke. "Well, love... If you take a whiff of my scent and the smells covering this corpse, you will find I came nowhere near close to your border. Never would I ever dream of crossing your lands just to kill and find myself on the rear end of a bad situation." She said she was an Alphess. She led these lands and controlled the wolves within them. He smiled more and bowed his head once more. "My love... My name is Killian. I come to your pack, asking to be an accepted member. I am from a rather large pack to the south. As you can see..." he said as he lifted his head once more. "Your highness, I am a very skilled hunter and am willing to utilize my paws and jaws for your purpose of living and thriving. If you shall accept me, I can promise you, you shall not be displeased with my.... services.." he spoke in a low and playful tone. Yes, he was flirting, carefully though. For he did not know how the Alphess would react to such words from him, a stranger. Did she have a mate? He didn't know. He wasn't looking for something serious, just playing around was his game. Love was stupid.

Cocking her head slightly at his way of speaking Chiara almost snarled at him, almost. Instead her eyes narrowed and her hackles rose. It was as if she were telling him to watch himself, just try and speak to her like that when Magnus were around. "Good I hoped you were more intelligent then that," she commented. Her amber eyes still trained on him. He submitted to her in an acceptable manner thus she relaxed slightly. "Pleasure to meet you Killian. I'm afraid my pack isn't large as it was only formed a few weeks ago. We can always use members, especially ones with such skills as you offer." She toyed, glancing down to his kill so he didn't get the wrong idea.

He continued, speaking of his skills in hunting and other things she could utilize. This made her chuckle slightly. "Well I can certainly see you are a fine hunter. With winter coming we will need able bodied wolves like you. This land is newly claimed, so the prey is unaware of the power we have. Food will still be hard to come by however. Other then hunting I believe in equal training for all wolves, so fighting and healing will be included into your agenda. Do you have any problems training those with less hunting experience?" She questioned. "Can you pledge yourself to my pack, to me and my mate the Alpha." She asked emphasizing the fact that she was indeed mated. "Will you lay down your life if needed and uphold my views on equality?" Her voice was firm and her eyes continued to narrow at the flirting brute. He seemed genuine, but she knew how vagabonds were sometimes.

"I find that small packs are actually better than those of the larger size. One can truly get to know all of the wolves within the pack, their strengths and weaknesses, which actually helps us out greatly." As she referred to him as a fine hunter, he smiled wider and bowed his head, "thank you my liege." He raised his head and looked to the other. "I shall offer my talents to your pack, and I will teach those that wished to be taught my skills. As for the fighting, I am skilled in such, though I do not fair as well as my hunting. Healing, on the other paw, is entirely something new to me, love. I have never had the chance, nor the need to learn such a skill, but you are the one to teach, then you will have my full and undivided attention." He smirked and looked to the kill behind him. "I will of course, bring this to the pack and share with the others. I know with winter approaching, hunting will be hard, but I know many skills and information on prey that I will be sure to hunt as much as I possibly can." There it came out finally. She did have a mate, but Killian meant no harm in his flirtatious behavior. It was only for fun, for the thrill. "Alphess Chiara, I swear to thee that I will lay down my own life for you and your mate. I will do everything in my ability to make sure stomachs are full and hunger is tided over. I will share all I have learned in an effort to better the pack... As you wish.." He spoke the truth to her, no need to lie. He was an honorable and admirable male, and he would prove himself to not only her, but the rest of the pack as well. Rank was not something he truly strove for, but he wanted to make Killian a well known name within the pack, whether for good reasons or for bad.

Chiara smiled, pleased with his words. If there ever was a wolf more proud of his words then Killian she was not sure. She heard the determination in his voice and the willingness to learn, this was all that she wanted. He pledged himself to her and with that she dipped her maw to him. "Good then I shall name you Hunter Killian. You are free to enter my pack lands as a full member. Explore and meet others if you wish or you are free to follow me back to the dens. We can bring back your kill as well." She said grabbing a leg on the carcass. Her muscles pulled on her small frame, yet she managed to lift the severed leg with ease. Turning back to the pale male her words echoed out, "welcome home Hunter Killian." With that she began to head back to camp. She was curious on how he would fit in, and how all the females of the pack would take to his flirting ways.

ooc-Change your name to Hunter Killian please, also add your name to the name claim/rank/height/relationship etc pages

Chia, he has already been added to the lists. He has to do it BEFORE he can do his border. All you need to tell people is to request Pyrvanthros group and change their name.
