The sun was setting on Tatsu's first day as a member of Pyrvanthros. As the golden rays sank slowly below the horizon, Tatsu sank her paws into the warm sands of the beach. The large fae had chosen not to follow her new Delta back to camp. Instead opting to explore on her own, away from prying eyes. Tatsu wanted to get a feel for the lands she would be calling home. Wanted to see what lay within the borders of her new found home. So far she was happily surprised, by its beauty and uniqueness. It was very different from her old home, one area in particular. The ocean, Tatsu had never seen the ocean before. So as her large thick paws topped a ridge, she was stopped in her tracks by the view below. Water, more water than Tatsu had ever seen. It stretched as far as her yellow oculars could see. Waves rippling on the surface and crashing into the soft sandy banks. Sucking in the air, Tatsu wrinkles her nose, face hit with a blast of salt air. It buffeted her fur, and made her sneeze. Shaking her head, her fur ruffled out some, she sets off down the hill closer to the water. Its greenish blue glimmer calling the fae forward as she approached. Her paws sinking deep into the soft sand. Her tail swaying some as she reached the water as it lapped the shore. Allowing the water to rush over her toes, the fae was pleasantly surprised by the water's warmth. Bending down she eyes the water, it smelled even saltier than the air. Deciding against tasting it, Tatsu merely sank her haunches into the wet sand. Wind tugging her fur as she glanced around, the sun catching her yellow oculars and making them glimmer eerily. Welcome home, she thought and for the first time in months a smile lit her maw.

Early to rise, Amatis had set out to search the lands and get a good feeling for them. She had passed through many lands, often never cherishing them but now that she finally had a pack to call home she could enjoy the lands in every season. Although it was only her third day, she still felt the new member feeling. Her border acceptance, had in her mind, not gone well. She felt as if she had not shown enough respect. It bothered her, but she didn't want to let it keep her down. She hope to speak to the alphess once again, maybe set things right. Closing her soft golden eyes she had stopped her walking for a few moments, and thought about what she wanted to do before moving on. She had wandered off farther north the territory, but glad to have the sun on her back. She had wandered for most of the day, and was surprised to see the sun beginning to set. She didn't think that she had wasted time but then again, she had been lost in thought. The scent of salt was in the air, the the sound of crashing waves was heaving on her thin velvet ears. An...ocean? She thought to herself quickly trotting along, her black fur shimming a light orange in the afternoon sunlight as she came up to a beach. Her toes sunk into the warm sand, and she watched the blue/grey waves crash against large stones and heaving against the sand. The air was filled with many scents of fish and ocean animals. She breathed it in, wondering where she had smelled this before. It clicked in her mind, that an old traveler she had met smelled of the sea. Perhaps he had been out this way a long time ago? She was unsure. Surprise lit her soft golden eyes as she saw another wolf not to far from her. Trotting over she hoped that this fae was apart of the pack. As she drew close, she could smell Pryvanthros heavily on her. She smiled in greeting, her tail up in a slight wag. "Hello." She said. "I am Amatis, and you are?"

The ocean's peaceful song had drowned out the approach of the fae. Making it a surprise to Tatsu when a voice suddenly called out. Head snapping around quickly, Tatsu took in the dark colored fur of a she-wolf with honey brown eyes. Annoyed with herself for allowing her guard down, Tatsu remained seated scenting Pyrvanthros of the fae before her. It wasn't terribly strong suggesting the fae was new to the area. Thick brown ears flickering, Tatsu listens silently to the she-wolf who called herself Amatis. When she finished Tatsu inclined her skull slightly as a show of respect, her yellow oculars more cautious than welcoming. " Greetings Warrior Amatis." She says her tone was soft but held an underlying fierceness to it. " My name is Warrior Tatsu, today is my first in Pyrvanthos." She admits, her eyes noticing how Amatis's tail was up and wagging. Resisting the urge to put the fae in her place, Tatsu has to remind herself that she and Amatis were of the same rank here. You are no longer in charge, she told herself. Sometimes she felt this was a blessing and other times she wasn't so sure. One thing she did know however, she would not grovel at anyone's paws. Returning her focus to the warrior before her, Tatsu tilts her skull some. " Excuse me for asking but you don't smell like you've been here very long. When did you join Pyrvanthros? " She inquires eager to learn as much as she could about her pack mates. They were her new family and therefore she had to learn to trust them. After her father's betrayal trust wasn't something Tatsu was very good at giving. She was however, trying to learn how to trust once more. She wanted nothing more than to forget her past and move on.

(Technically Ama has been here longer than Tatsu xD)

"Ah, welcome to Pryvanthros then. It is a lovely pack, at least that is what I have come to notice." She said outloud, her thoughts still dismayed even after a few days of being here. She had grown used to the camp, and she had remotely found where everything was. It seemed things were beginning to look up, but how far would it go before it came crashing down again? Shrugging her slender shoulders she turned her attention back to the beach, silently watching the waves crash against the shore. The brisk wind made the area slightly chilly, and with the sun beginning to dip below the horizon it made it more so. Amatis had tried to be friendly, even wagged her tail but she had seen the look of dominance in Tatsu eyes and it almost made her want to snap at the fae. She, however, stopped her wagging and sat her friendliness immediately turning off. She now sat there, silently watching as Tatsu came up with the words to actually begin a conversation. Almost growing impatient, she was tempted to leave when the smaller wolf spoke. "I have been here for almost a week, I have been wandering the territories which have not yet become adjusted to the smell of Pryvanthros. Don't mistake my smell for being new." While her voice had been slightly cold, it was not menacing nor was it challenging. She wasn't going to act like a total angry mutt, she just didn't see the point in being friendly towards this wolf from then on.

( Oh I know Tatsu was just noticing Amatis didn't smell as strongly of Pyrvanthros than perhaps Delta Malachai. She knows Amatis has been there longer than her^^)

Tatsu could tell there was a change in Amatis, a change her actions had caused. At first the fae seemed welcoming but upon Tatsu's last question her voice became rather stiff, indifferent. Like a switch had gone off, snuffing out the warmth from inside the fae. Tatsu might of been surprised if it wasn't for the fact she was accustomed to this. Ever since the death of her mate, Tatsu had been down right terrible at making friends. Every word that spilled from her maw, and every small movement she made seemed to convey something dislikable. Sighing inwardly, Tatsu shifted her large paws some. The warm ocean water lapping over them as they sunk into the velvety soft sand. Inhaling the sharp salty smelling, wind Tatsu dips her broad skull. " Thanks." She says attempting to allow a smile to flicker over her maw. Smiling however was foreign to her and her lips didn't seem to know how to do it. " I meant no disrespect." Tatsu continues, relaxing some in an attempt to put Amatis at ease. " I was merely curious how long you've been here. I know the pack is only just beginning. " She finishes, her yellow oculars on the fae, hoping she could see that Tatsu was trying to right whatever wrong she'd commited. She wasn't here to make enemies, especially not of this fae.

Allowing a long silence to lapse between them, Tatsu's eyes flicker back to the horizon. Watching as the last of the sun's rays set on her first day in Pryvanthros. Their golden yellow gleam reflecting off the water like a blazing fire, lighting up her yellow oculars and making them look golden. Blinking Tatsu turns her head away from the beauty before her, back to her new pack mate. " You say you've been here a while?" She repeats, her head tilted slightly. " Have you met our Alpha and Alphess?" She questions curiously, wondering if the fae would even speak with her. If not their conversation would be over and Tatsu would be left to find her way back to camp alone.
