Faust the Innocent Empty
PostSubject: Faust the Innocent Faust the Innocent Icon_minitimeMarch 23rd 2016, 12:08

Name: Faust

Gender: Male

Age: 2 years

Breed: Grey Wolf

Height: 82 cm

Pack: Erenyx

Rank Requested: Warrior

Appearance:
Pallets of blacks, grays, and white's cover the the males gigantic body creating a warm thick layer of fur. Small splotches of whites and grays can be located underneath the brute's chin, belly, and neck area but are very hard to see. Standing at 82 cm tall, from shoulder to paw Faust would be placed within the large wolf category. The young brute's surprisingly large size being inherited from his father, but his scrawny build taking after his mother. Piercing emerald green eyes are the main attraction that can be quiet captivating to the average young female. The young brute has dozens of scars scattered among his body, from the rough wear and tear of the terrains and fights with his father and a cougar when younger. Faust also has a folded ear that lays back onto his skull.

A large three striped scar can be located on the left side of his face, taking up half of his muzzle area. Although these are not the only scars that can be seen taking up most of his upper body area, the brute bares a large scarred gash around his throat mostly covered by thick black and grey furring. Last but not least we have his lower body scars, having been in many spars with wild animals and his father at a young age he gained many scars. The most recognizable ones being located upon his right shoulder, dragging down to about mid ways of his back.

Personality:
Self-Aware of his actions, to Faust good and evil are only subjective in the eyes of the beholder. To him, those who believe in the metaphors of a strict black vs white are either severely uneducated, immature or too arrogant to see their own shortcomings. His moral standpoints as a result are grey, and the term evil actually makes him visibly wince. However, while he's a very vocal brute and is well known to express his feelings and opinions, he doesn't actively talk about his own moral view points towards anyone who he doesn't consider close to him. This particular thing might seem strange to those who know him well, since he's usually very sure of himself and is in fact quite the optimistic wolf. He has a slight anxiety issue, and the best way to help him control this is by finding him something to focus on.

Due to his laid-back fursona, Faust is playful in nature and likes to take things on the lighter side than being brooding and/or cold all the time. As said before, he's expressive and likes to tease or make fun of others to show that he likes or cares for them. As a result, he is exuberant, being energetic, lively and full of spirit with a strong and near unbreakable will to boot. That all being said, however, Faust is capable of being mature and is a responsible male, not only does he take full responsibility for his actions but he also sticks out for other wolves in order to get them out of trouble they would normally be in, instead of himself.

Yet, he's not selfless by any stretch. Even though he is charismatic and has exhibited leadership skills, he is a proud brute with a surprisingly high opinion of himself, of his personality and of his looks. He's got a sarcastic tongue and is not afraid to make quips or the occasional snide comment directed at other individuals. In fact, some others could consider these traits to be rather condescending. The fact that Faust is a bold wolf doesn't exactly help either, since it ends up with making him look like an overconfident (which he is not) and saying harsh things that he's bound to regret later in the long run, or just strut around like some sort of peacock.

Another thing is that Faust is a crafty brute, being more than capable of using deceitful tactics to his advantage. His ability to be perceptive helps with this greatly, noticing even the littlest things, things that he refuses to take fore-granted and things that he refuses to let slip over his head. As a result, he is actually a very good listener and if the person is close he's more than capable of being supportive of them in his own little way. Because despite being proud and borderline-arrogant, he is a bit of a perfectionist, especially towards himself and his own actions. While he does think highly of himself, he has never once boasted about his own achievements unless its to purposefully get on someone else's nerves. He has shown practically strutting around and looking full of himself, but when it comes to any actual achievements, it immediately turns into an insecurity issue. he is actually easily flustered, and gets embarrassed easier than he makes himself look.

History:
Faust, was born from Roan Donatello Lanarlett, and Iona Tirza Bachniquel. His parents were second in command in the ranks of his birth pack, the pack wasn’t a very friendly, or pleasant bunch, but they weren’t cruel, by definition. The pack was a structured and in-line place, except the rules didn’t apply to those in high command.

Right from birth, Faust was expected to follow in his father’s footsteps, as was his brother, and his sister was to follow their mother. Roan Donatello Lanarlett, was not a nice fellow. He pushed his two sons to the limits, making them do things that were definitely not expected of them at their age. Punishing them, when they didn’t not meet his outrageous requirements. All the other wolves either turned a blind eye or didn’t care for the mistreatment of the two pups. They knew that if they tried to say anything, they would get attacked by the father, and Roan had many allies in the pack, including the Alphas.

While, Mephis, Faust’s brother, was always obedient and followed all of Roan’s orders, even putting himself on the brink of a stressful break down to overachieve. Faust always had a slight anger to his father’s orders, he followed them, but did it with a sour face. Faust always thought, Mephis was so eager to please their father, because it was clear who Roan favored out of the two, even though said son wasn’t too happy about taking his father’s role as second in command.

Mayberri was Mephis and Faust’s sister, she was sweet and kind and thoughtful, just like their mother. It was often that Mayberri and Faust would run off and hide in their secret place, whenever they got sick of Roan barking orders, and Mephis always a step behind. They always planned for an escape, to run off and explore the world. It never happened.

Faust didn’t have many friends in the pack, he and Mephis were isolated at best. Though whatever friends he did make, his father scared them off. Claiming their ideals and ideas would interfere with Roan’s teachings. Mephis never questioned it, though Faust did, but never voiced them.

Mephis, Mayberri, and Faust were just a year old when Faust reached his breaking point. It was one normal evening, on a repeated day. That Roan took his boys out to monitor the borders of the pack’s territory. An unseen cougar had pounced on the trio. Tackling Mephis to the ground and clawing at the adolescent. Faust was going to help his brother, but his father stopped him. Telling him that Mephis had to fight his way out. Faust watched in horror as the rather large cougar was beating poor Mephis down. It was then Faust snapped out of his stupor and pushed Roan aside. Charging at the mountain lion, and putting all of the predator’s attention on him. Mephis pushed himself up and was going to attempt to return the favor, but as before Roan stopped Mephis, and told him the same thing he told Faust. This time Mephis didn’t help his brother. The mountain lion dealt massive blows to the 1-year old, giving him scars across his neck that stretched to his shoulder, as well as leaving a particularly large one at his abdomen and stomach. The cougar also nearly tore off the young wolf’s tail. Faust fought the cougar to his near last breath, until Roan stepped in and helped Faust run it off. The trio limped home, and Faust received healing from the pack there.

It was only a few days later, when Faust was strong enough to run, that he poured his rage at his father publicly, in front of the whole pack. Faust yelled, how cruel, selfish and careless the bastard was. How he was going to let Mephis die, and how it wasn’t fair to treat Mephis lesser than he was. Mephis didn’t do anything, he remained quiet in the background, and if anything seemed angry himself, not at Roan but at Faust, for bringing up the obvious fact of who their father preferred. Roan got more furious by the second at Faust’s rant. It unleashed a tide of rage from Roan, that Faust never seen, and didn't want to see again. Roan lashed out at Faust, throwing him to the ground, and started to bite and claw at his son. Eventually chasing the male out of the pack territory, and well 1 or 2 miles away. It was that day Faust was exiled from the pack, and gaining a few more scars on his face from his father.

That day is not known as one of Faust’s best memories, but it certainly was a good one. As he didn’t have to deal with his father no more. He still felt alone without his sister though, except she was in his mother’s care so he didn’t have to worry for Mayberri's safety. Though he was still injured he made sure he was well enough to fend for himself in case his rant went down this route. Faust spent the next eight months living on his own, and exploring the world around him. Living his life the way he wanted and even living out a few childhood dreams, the way he couldn’t when he was in the pack. He stopped being a pup the moment he was born. His curiosity got the best of him, when he went to visit his old pack again.

Faust spied on his old pack, keeping unseen. It was near dark and the clouds were setting in, he was going to leave when he had his fill of a check-up on the pack, when he noticed really out of order in the pack. Faust wasn’t paying attention at the moment when he heard the shriek, though he didn’t care the cause, as he was sent into a rage when he saw an unknown male slap his sister, Mayberri. He uncovered his hidden location, and head-butted the male away from his sister, she had a surprised but relieved look on her face, tears as well for her brother. Faust gave her a smile before turning to the male ready to fight, when behold, his father Roan Donatello Lanarlett stepped in. He had a stern look on his face, and beside him a much grown Mephis stood. Roan was very pissed about Faust’s return, but when the exiled son questioned Mayberri’s safety, to Faust’s disgust, Roan simply dismissed it as Mayberri acting up to her assigned mate. Lightning struck and it started to rain. Roan had started to try and chase off Faust again, except Faust took a wrong route and ended up at a dead end cliff. It was a small and quick battle between father and son, Mayberri had followed and tried to stop it, Faust rammed his father, and Roan slipped on the slick mud, and went tumbling down the cliff. Taking Mayberri down with him. Faust tried to save his sister, but wasn’t fast enough. He wasn’t given time to mourn, as Mephis had arrived and jumped to conclusions. Screaming out that Faust had killed the king and the princess. Faust had no idea, when the rank changed happened, but didn’t have time to think as the rest of the pack chased him out of the territory, with Mephis leading.

Faust  had to keep moving for the next months, the pack was split. Some running off and becoming loners, or creating new packs. The rest followed Mephis, and hailed him as their new leader. Mephis went insane after Roan and Mayberri’s death, obsessed with finding their falsely accused murderer, and killing him.

Example Post:
It seems as lifetimes have passed since Faust had met the new wolves that joined in the time of drastic change. Some much has happened and yet almost nothing at all had happened. Hours that turned into days, days to months and that to the year he was now. Things were different, minutely, but still different. He could feel it in his skin, just beneath the surface. A crawl almost, a tingle that wormed around causing him the slightest amount of discomfort and annoyance. Above and on top of that, there was an electrical current through his fur. Short it may be but still it made him shiver, tense every so often of how things have changed. He found it difficult to just accumulate to the suddenness of it. It always made him tense and on end most of the time, not even in sleep was he able to escape the uneasiness that had set over him in the year that had passed. It wasn't even the fact a new dominant came and took the place of MoonShine. Some random stranger comes along and claims the crown, the spirits had approved of it as well. The very first time of hearing this, just plain out pissed him off. Who was this random person to just waltz into the pack and claim the throne? They knew nothing of her, didn't even know if she could even lead a pack properly, especially one in the state it was in. It angered him, oh it did. For months he couldn't even think of following any orders from this stranger Kotanna, they didn't earn it he didn't know them. He held his tongue, did as he was told and withheld the rage he felt within. He hid it well through the change though. A lesson of burying his outer emotions and feelings, to not let anyone into his mind was taught to him at an early age. Echos of his father screaming at him for being such a girl was still a thing that went on in his head. The man was fully aware of his father being dead, but the past was still there. He, himself, held the physical evidence of what happened when one didn't listen to daddy dearest. Some regrets still lingered in his head, maybe he should have taken off like Mayberri had kept telling him too. Left, maybe many things wouldn't have happened. Except, he knew he never could. He could never leave his sister behind, but why didn't he just try to leave with her. Why didn't he just take the risk and try? He might've been able to escape, he could've had his sister now. Heck, he might've been able to convince Mephis to come along too. They might've been together as a family without the politics of their parents and birth pack. Things might've been different.

His mind was wandering off topic, but it was hard when the anniversary of his father and sister's death was just around the corner.

Faust's coat is always a mess, more so than usual. Some days he forgot to eat, but his stomach growling often reminded him of the fact. Bathing was an option most days, but even he knew when he started to smell. He felt lazy, mostly spending his time alone at the borders of the territory just laying around. Sometimes when he woke up he didn't feel like moving. He felt like just laying there and let the days pass slowly, maybe the anniversary would just pass him in a blink and he could go about his business. Even with this wishful thinking, he found that time seem to just hate him. It slowed, to him. Everything just started to drag along. Whatever higher power was at work just had to make sure he remembered the day. Had to make sure he was just the most miserable sap on the planet. The nightmares were getting worse with each night and he was even jumpier than usual. He started to get less and less sleep, it got to a point he felt like he wasn't able to actually choose sleep until he was at the point of sleep deprivation that he would just knock out the moment his body was at rest. Emotions were having a field day within him, whirling about often putting him in mood swings. Except he made sure to never take it out on his pack mates, not even the new dominant no matter how much he disapproved of the rank change. It was mostly the reason he spent his time alone, whenever he wasn't at the borders just patrolling he was trying to find new hiding spots where he wouldn't have to worry about anyone finding him. These places were where he slept, so that when he woke up with a start and sometimes a cry out of a lost siblings no one would hear it and he could just wallow alone. It wasn't healthy by any means and he was fully aware of it as well, but he kept on doing it. Whenever someone would question such behavior, he would plaster a smile and say nothing was wrong. That the sun was shining, the weather was perfect and it was a good day. Every time he said it, it felt more wrong on his tongue, felt faker with every syllable. If anyone had questioned it further he would shrug and trot away. There was no need to burden everyone else with his problems. It was this time he felt more disconnected with the pack than ever, more than when he first joined and he was barely finding his footing.

It was the Moist Forest that was near the pathway to Mt. Denali. He hadn't a reason to be here other than to just wander the borders as he did, just a few more days until the worst day of his entire existence came to pass. How does anyone deal with this? He wondered bitterly, the first year after the incident. He didn't know how to react, how to even cope with feelings he didn't know how to mess with. It was a back and forth between anger and just plain sadness at not knowing. He stopped in his walking and let out a sigh, he closed his eyes and just tried to sort through the mental mess for a moment. Everything came flooding back to him in that moment, the memory so vivid it was almost like it was happening again. Injuries of that night felt fresh and new, pain that surged through him for a moment as he flinched. His entire body tensing and his teeth clamping down. His pink hues remained covered by the white lids over them, short yet thick fur flared out in their full length. His legs started to shake as he heard in a clear tone the scream of his sister call out to him, his father, his brother cursing him, his mother weeping. It was too real, he needed it to stop. Quickly he ripped open his eyes, running toward the nearest tree and slammed his head against it. The rough bark of the tree scraped and itched at his skull as he did this. The pain reminding him of reality of the here and now, that he wasn't back there in that mess but here in STP territory. 1 year later. The memory started to fade, he did it once then twice more then the memory finally disappeared. His head started to pound, aching for the abuse it was given. Yet it was nothing compared to the pain he felt in his chest. His breathing started to get ragged, his eyes stared wide and unblinking at the bark of the tree. Bits of it had fallen off and crumbled to the ground. He could already image pieces of it in the fur atop his head. It felt warm as blood rushed to the injured area, a faint thought in the back of his mind wondered if he was bleeding. Still he could feel that all well too known burn and prick at his eyes, his vision getting blurry from the water that was gathering in his eyes. He was alone he would allow himself this simple action. No one would see him he hoped as he fell into his most vulnerable for a moment.

Faust let his mind go blank, just let it sit. It started out as a few sniffles, then it just all came pouring out in a silent cry. Let himself have the grief he refused himself for so long. Grief over his sister, his brother, his everything. Everything of his life before, how he grew up and the scars on his face that became of it. His breathing was starting to get even more ragged, more uneven. His legs were still shaking but more violently, as was the rest of his body. He opened his eyes for a moment to just stare at the deep brown wood of the tree. As the sobs started to slow, started to stop he focused on calming down his breathing. He closed his eyes and started to take deep breaths. 'In. One...Two..Three.. Out. One...Two...Three...' Repeat. A mantra in his mind was made, one that was familiar and oh so well practiced. It took him a good while to finally reset himself to the composure he put out for everyone, the slightest bit of off on him could have only been noticed by those who knew him most. Still, even in the time he was here, he wasn't sure he actually got close to anyone. At least in the past months, he had as little contact as possible with his pack mates, only to save them from having to deal with him being in this state.

Faust turned and looked for some company, he knew his body and emotions and would less inclined to just explode when he was in the presence of others. Yet another lesson taught to him by dear old dad. It didn't take him long to find Summer. The blonde wolf from the meet at the time of the drastic change. He noticed her sleeping and at any other time he might've been more sensitive and let her lie, but he needed to be in the company of others. To stop whatever happened earlier from happening again, he couldn't let it happen again. With this he pulled his lips into a smile as he wandered over to the girl. "Hey Summer you're not too far gone for a chat are you?" Said with cheer in his voice to match the expression upon his face. Something simple, something easy. No matter how short or meaningless their conversation could be. It was still better than the isolation he was putting himself through in the past. He needed to be in social contact for a while. It might put some things off his mind. It was then he wondered what of the others. He was even willing to risk a panic just to keep from breaking down again. The incident of before had actually scared him. He felt weak by it and he didn't want to be put in such a vulnerable position like that ever again. The man kept these thoughts to himself as he held a smile for if and when Summer would wake up to greet him back.

Welcome Faust, but before you can be accepted there are just a few things you will need to change:

- We do not allow any "human" things. Words such as "guy" or "people" are not allowed. Please take these out of your joining profile and exchange them for words like "brute", "male" or "wolves".
- We are a semi-realistic wolf site and one things wolves cannot do is cry actual tears. So that will need to be taken out.
- Lastly, keeping with the literate nature of the site, we ask that you spell out any numbers. It makes it look more professional.

Adjust these things and we will look over your post again and hopefully approve you.
