WORDS: 601 | TAGGED: Akira, Blaze, Magnus, Chiara | NOTES: See bottom!

Late in the night, Killian walked from the borders of his home lands. He had been happy within Pyrvanthros, pleased with the wolves he had met. His white paws carried him to neutral lands and then further into the Rogue lands. Yes, it was dangerous, but Killian did not fear a single being in these woods. He knew the den in which his "mate" and young resided. He had helped them to grow and learn in what little he could. It was not safe for him to go there so much and it was not safe for them to be out there among the crazed wolves. Killian had discovered that he had a small place in his heart for his young. The perfect son and the perfect daughter. It was on this night that he would bring them to a safe haven, appealing to his Alphas' better nature and hoping they would allow the young wolves entrance to the pack. They needed to feel safe, and they needed to be protected by more than just a one-eyed wolf. As he walked into the den, he allowed a low "coo" to slip from his lips. It was the same noise he used every time he entered, and his young knew it well. When he saw them with his bright blue eyes, he knew this was for their betterment. "Blaze, Akira... It is time for you to come with me now. Your mother loves you very much, but it is not safe for the both of you to stay with her any longer. I will take you with me to my home, where you will get the proper training and grow quickly, like weeds. You will never have to worry about eating or not. They keep stock piles of food and help everyone out. We will come back and visit your mother whenever you like, but I wish a better life for the both of you... Please, come with me. It's not goodbye, my loves, but just a see you later.." He smiled to them, as he did to Oltulysa. This was their agreement. Her other litter had fallen under unjust circumstances, and she did not wish to see it happen again. Killian walked with them, making sure they kept close to him as he brought them to the borders of the pack. Making sure not to step over the boundary, although he could, he did not want the pups to follow suit. "Alright, now in order for you to be accepted into the pack, we will ask the Alphas to come to see us. I want the both of you to introduce yourselves to either Alpha Magnus or Alphess Chiara. They are my friends, but our situation is different." He smiled to them both, turning his back to Pyrvanthros as he stood before them. "I love you both so much, and I know you will do well. Just remember your manners, and after they come, make sure you do not make eye contact, and bow respectfully... like this.." Killian dropped his head to the ground and showed his pups what he wanted them to do. When he lifted his head, he spoke once more. Now in order to get an Alpha to the border, you must both lift up your heads and make the loudest howl you can. Got that?" He smiled to them and walked around their backs to stand behind them. He watched and waited as they howled, hoping the Alphas would come soon. The early morning sun was rising over the hills and began casting shadows over the land.

Aye, there is always a crisis

perhaps you should consider living your life during them, otherwise you might miss it.

Blaze and Akira can post (in whatever order), then if an Alpha would come, that would be great!

Honey colored eyes peered out of the den, she was laying in a spot where mother could easily watch her yet she wanted to be able to stare out into the night sky. The Rogue lands were always interesting, yet she found most things a mystery and she wondered a lot about what the other wolves out there were like. She knew that father belonged to a pack, Pirythos... no Pyrvthan... she could never remember. The name was to long and difficult, the sound of an owl got Akira's attention though and she retreated into the den quickly. Curling up in a tight ball near her brother and mother. She listened as her thoughts raced on. And when she almost fell asleep, the young fae heard a 'coo' at the entrance of the den. Her ears perked up at the noise, knowing exactly what it meant. Her father's white shadow stood in the den now and she scrambled to sit up and see what he wanted. Stated one word, "Father..." pure awe focused on him. He was one of the most important male's in her life. How he just appeared from nowhere just to visit his family. She wasn't sure and receiving an answer about it at that moment was not important. He started speaking and she listened, she knew this was coming, but the way he described the pack life... it seemed boring. She wondered how much rules there would be... Hopefully not a lot, she liked her freedom. Her eyes looked into her father's blue eyes, she looked at them as a sad feeling filled inside of her. She looked to Blaze for his reaction, then back to her mother. She loved her mother a lot, she didn't want to leave. But she looked back to father then nodded. She agreed with leaving for the experience, although she didn't like the thought of being trapped with a million rules. Just like having to live with her mother. So she forced herself to promise that she will stay for the training and to be with her brother and father. Akira turned and looked to her mother, forcing a smile. "I will miss you, mother." Her words were filled with love. Why did she agree to this, it is to sad. But she turned to her father again and acted strong. Lifting her head and following him as they moved towards his home. Why couldn't they make it easy and have him live out in the Rogue lands with all of them as a happy family. She pushed away all of that though and just followed her father.

Soon the two pups and their father reached a place that seemed to split the pack from the Rogues. A border. Killian explained to the two of them what they had to do. How ridiculous, howl for a wolf to come so that you have to bow to them in order to be allowed in. There must be more. She nodded to her father, no thoughts leaking through her facial features at all. Closed off. Akira looked to Blaze and then lifted her head to the sky and howled as loud as she could. Yet it was graceful and clear. She wondered how long it would take for this to get done and over with. Lowering her head and looking to her father in question. What else was expected of them again? Bow heads, introduce yourself and... oh no, what was the other one? She looked forward and noticed the sun rising and with her father behind them she had no idea how to handle this. Just be yourself. She thought as she looked over the lands in front of her. Waiting for the arrival of another wolf, either Alpha Magni or Alphess Chira. Such strange names, but she would have to get used to them. Now she was just getting herself worked up and nervous though. What if they don't like her? What if the pack hates them because of what their father did? Would they get kicked out of the pack? No... father wouldn't let that happen. Just be calm... she coached herself and sighed. She was patient but time seemed to be passing so slow.

(It's going to be difficult for me to jump right into her personality on the first few post so hopefully this isn't to bad)

The peaceful sleep of night in the den was interrupted when he heard the familiar voice of his father. Looking up at him as he was curled his his sister and mother, he listened to his father speak. It was time. Time for them to go with him to his home. All of a sudden, the sleepiness in his body went away. This was the day he was waiting for. He loved his mother dearly and would never want to hurt her, but he loved his father too. The young brute also knew that the Rogue Lands were not the safest place for pups, as his mother told them stories of the dangerous animals around. "Goodbye mother. I love you. We will visit you soon." Nuzzling the female who raised him, he stood and exited with his sister and father. The young bi-colored eyed male was excited to be alongside his father and make him proud as the strong wolf he wanted to be. He remembered him telling them stories when they were young and it made him all the more excited to be part of a community. One large family. He would be the son of the great Killian of Pyrvanthros. His father would take pride in the achievements of his son. What he couldn't understand is why his mother refused to join one. Was it worse than what he dreamed of it to be? He knew he and Akira would be the only pups within the pack, but that barely bothered Blaze. He loved his sister and they surely would become closer when being the only ones around their age. Besides, they've only ever had one another and their loving parents around them, so what made this any different? Once they approached the border of the lands, he could hear Killian speaking to them about what to do next. It was clear that his sister was much more hesitant about the ordeal than he was, but he knew she would be just fine. Listening to his father's words, he nodded. "Got it." Without any further hesitation, the young male tilted his head back and released the strongest howl he could muster from his chest. "Will they be okay with my eyes, father?" The pup was always a little self-conscious about his bi-colored eyes. They were odd on color and gave him his own appearance, but worried that some others would judge him for being different int he slightest. It was always a fear in the young brute, not a strong one, but fear nonetheless. Sitting on his haunches and leaning to the left, he was ready for one of the alphas to arrive. Be yourself. Tail, ears, head, eyes... tail, ears, head, eyes... He thought, repeating in his mind. He had to remember exactly what to do to impress them with his actions. The spring sun was beginning to peek over the hillsides and brighten the dark night. This was the beginning of the rest of his life.

Already Magnus had risen with the Spring dawn, misty, brisk and dewy. The damp ground compacted easily underfoot, leaving mild momentary imprints of his paws. The Alpha had scouted round the pack clearing, admiring the peaceful sleeping bodies of his comrades. He moved his way through the dens at a gentle jog, his tail swaying easily behind him. This time of the morning was one of his favourite ties of day, it was cam and quiet and the Alpha could admire his pack. His sable coat swayed elegantly with each step. Just as his rounds were ending and the male was beginning to decide on his activities for the day when the call came. It began with a deep masculine voice, one he knew well. It was Killian, one of his hunters. But then, two much softer voices joined in his call. Curious, the Alpha set off to investigate this call at the borders. Wht is Killian up to? he thought.

Upon arrival at the borders, Magus was able to track Killian's scent to a more open area where the trees were less tightly spaced. Upon arrival he could see why. Killian had two pups with him, clearly of his heritage. What have you been doing you sly dog? Magnus stood back a moment, out of sight to simply observe the pups. They seemed respectful of Killian which was good. If Pyrvanthros was to have pups this spring they had to be respectful of those around them. The Alpha began his approach, tail curled high in a position of dominance but his demeanour was not overly domineering. He didn't want to frighten the little apprentices. "Killian, what is the meaning of this?" His voice was calm, quiet, as though he didn't want to appear angry and frighten the younglings. He gave them a cursory glance - more for their sake than his as he'd already analysed them from a distance. They were healthy.

It had not been long before the Alpha was standing before the trio. Killian could feel a large wad of saliva building within his throat. This was the most nervous he had ever been, which was rare for the usually cocky male. He was not, however, worried for his own skin, but that of his innocent young. They had done nothing wrong. It was Killian who had been in the wrong and immediately he could tell that Magnus suspected just what he had done, or had a loose idea of it. He seemed to be not too harsh with his words, not wishing to care his young. Killian bowed his head respectfully to the king. "Aye sir, you see..." he said as he slowly lifted his head back to his normal position, "as you can probably tell, these two pups are from my own brood. Shortly after joining your pack, I was in the neutral lands and I stumbled upon a Rogue. She had a single wish that not many other wolves would give her. She wanted to have a litter of her own pups. I told her that I would help and promise to help raise them. So I have. I have been on hunts after I perform my duties for Pyrvanthros, just to hunt for their sake. They have been living with their mother since they were born, but as you know - it is not safe in the Rogue lands. Young could be easily killed and taken away. I wish for my son and daughter to have a fighting chance at life. This is Akira and Blaze, and they have a request for you, my liege." Killian lowered his head between his young, nuzzling them both to speak for themselves. "Go ahead, do not be shy.. He won't hurt you.." Killian did not believe Magnus was that kind of leader. But if he did wish to bring harm to his young, Killian would defend them with his life. Should they survive, they would move to live within the Rogue lands with Oltulysa.

Soon after their howl Akira noticed a wolf approaching. This is it Akira, this will determine your future. Just remember that you can always go back to mother if something goes wrong. She thought nervously. As the wolf approached she noticed that it was male and he spoke calmly towards their father. She calmed down, he didn't seem mean. He had a dominant posture, and she felt herself becoming a bit shy, she avoided eye contact, wishing that she may just escape this moment and just be a part of the pack already. She glanced slightly over to Blaze to see what he did, then lowered her head to the brute in front of her. "H-hello sir, I... I am Akira. I wish to... we wish to join your pack." she spoke softly, her nerves taking control. She couldn't help but be nervous, and hopefully the Alpha did not hate her for that. She wanted to glance back to father to see if she did alright, although didn't want to mess up and be forced away from her brother and father. The young fae looked at the ground in front of Magnus, repeating his name in her head a bunch of times in order to not mess it up, if she did have to speak it. She hoped that Blaze did better then her though, at least if she didn't make it, she would know that her brother was alright. Maybe he would become a big strong warrior someday or he could be the best and fastest hunter ever, just beneath father at least. She wondered if he knew what he wanted to be in the pack, if they made it. She had no clue actually, she didn't want to be stuck with one job and if she had to chose... well she wouldn't be able to.

The voice of the one called Magnus erupted from the remaining darkness. The light of dawn beginning to show over the horizon and brighten the lands. The pup caught a glimpse of him before he sunk to the ground in submission. His ears were plastered to the back of his head and his tail hid under his body. Bi-colored eyes reverted to the paws of the larger brute before he spoke. The trembling voice of his sister could be head from his side. He was sure she would toughen up soon. She just wasn't very experienced with new feelings just yet. Blaze on the other hand, was quite intellectual for his age. He was a brave little soul, but knew his place. He looked at himself as much like his father. Strong and somewhat silent. "Alpha Magnus, sir. As I know my father is a dedicated hunter to you and your pack, I wish to follow in his paw steps and serve under your rule." Blaze was proud of his phrasing. It was well mannered and provided a point of emphasis: his father. He had always looked up tot the Pyrvanthros hunter and aspired to be just like him. As any son would to his father. The young brute kept his place on the ground as he awaited any sort of response form the other three bodies that surrounded him.

(Ooc - I'll try to keep this short guys, so we can get this done)

Magnus kept himself calm and proud before the pups and their father. Killian explained his encounter with a rogue - the pups mother - and his promise to her. How he cared for his offspring in secret, on top of his duties as Hunter of Pyrvanthros. He took responsibility for his young, cared for them and brought them before his own Alpha so they might ask for a place in his pack, for a chance at life. Who was he to deny them their lives? Watching the young father encourage his pups so gently was indeed heartwarming to watch. The fae was a nervous creature called Akira. She reminded him of his own daughter, Willow. He had taken for granted his four spirited pups. How he wished he could turn back time. But alas, there was no way to bring back the dead, but he could prevent this young one's untimely demise. He smiled softly at her and nodded a gentle approval, hoping to calm her nerves.

He turned his attention on the confident young male. The pups didn't give his name, although his request was much more self-assured than his sister's. Magnus always enjoyed seeing ambition in the younger generation, it often foreshadowed a willingness to work hard and forge their own path. The Alpha breathed deeply, considering. First, he lowered his head to rest beside that of the young brute, speaking softly in his ear, intending only for him to hear. "You know, it's customary to tell your new Alpha your name when you ask to joing his pack, but I'll let it slide if you can promise to work exceptionally hard in my pack," he said, not wanting to embarrass the child by announcing it loudly. To the young fae he then turned and just as privately, offered his own advice. "You remind me of my daughter Willow. I hope you grow to find your courage, your life may depend on it someday. Can you promise me you'll do that and honour my daughter's memory?" He rose, standing tall, chest puffed out slightly, the image of a strong Alpha. He spoke for the three of them to hear. "Young ones, you have proven yourselves well versed in appropriate manners when addressing a superior at a border. Your father has taught you well, you should be proud to be his kin. I will take you as Apprentices of Pyrvanthros so long as you will be loyal and work hard. And someday, when you are grown and educated, you will earn your place among the pack." Magnus raised his gaze from the new apprentices to look their father in the eye. Don't take them for granted, he wanted to say to Killian.
