~This Thread Is Reserved, None May Post~

As the wind took the female, the lands wandered into the state of change, trudging through rough and sharp turns to the barren beyonds of cliff-sides and wondrous feeling of difference when the scent of home no longer lingered in her wet nostrils. Under her paws lay several chips and rocks created over time, pinching the raw cuts she had received earlier in her travels of coming to far from her den. Dumbstruck, she found herself wandering, unnoticed luckily when maneuvering upon the pack clearing to what is claimed as the Isle De Muerto. She had heard of these lands, knowing little as they had come to be a newer addition to the neutralized territories. Keeping clear of the others, she especially made sure none were to follow for their own greater good, company disturbed her, and their trust was never hers to take, nor was hers. Her sapphire eyes gazed upon the ground, trotting passed the boulders and obstacles that tried to block her path, waving her tail proud and high since their were no superiors around to be reprimanded by.

The weather was reasonable, a cool breeze to lace through the vanilla hairs within her thick, timber pelt. She smirked at the comments and complaints from those who were used to the climate being so warm from where they came, finding the temperatures just her style as she had lived within the mountains back from her previous pack. Kennedy kept her focus upon her footing along the cliff-side as she slid down the rocky side in small leaps towards the bottom where she had spotted a small lagoon or swamp. Debris worked its own into her thick fur, clinging onto her underbelly and the fur climbing all the way towards her elbows. It did not bother her, but she wasn't entirely fond of the idea of having to clean it out when she was done with her adventuring and temporary isolation from the rest. In the many months of coming to Erenyx, she had been trying to impress her Alpha for a change, ignoring the mate and Alphess of the pack since she never shared a liking in her anyway, and working up the ranks in hope for Lead Hunter. There was something about the rank that caused a slight difference in her mind, and knew the only way to get it was to arrange a pack meeting for a large hunt. There was never a way she'd be able to get them, not because she was lazy, but her social abilities included of easy irritation and boredom. Finding them would be a waste and useless to her time.

She huffed, leaping another once from the side and slightly missed the bottom ledge to slip another foot below. "Gah!!" She yelled, yipping loudly when she came to a large thwump on the hard floor. When she was done with her fits of curses and growls at the ledge, the fae turned her direction and attention to gaze upon the small murky pond, sighing under her breath before dragging her feet in a weak limp towards the edge. Leaning back on her hind legs, she dropped her haunches to the ground and lowered her snout into the water to lap up the bitter liquid. The area had been touched by few she could tell, registering little of her own pack, but faint as she tried to smell for more. Filled with peace, Kennedy kept quiet, closing her eyes and relaxing as she quenched her dying thirst.

Deep down under, the reptile lay at rest behind the murky walls and waves of freshwater, making silent movements in his sleep at the lake's floor as schools of dull colored fish swam at their own risk passed over his head. The temperatures had dropped underwater since the rainfall the land had been provided the night before and a majority of the early morning sunrise. It left most of the dirt at the pond's sides to become like mush, a slippery way for him to move onto land and cool off if the day would grow too hot for his scaled skin. He groaned loudly on purpose to scare the fish away, looking through his glossy dark eyes and aquatic eyelid to peer through the dreary water and up at the surface where the sun shown bright over his head. Stroking the ground impatiently with his claws, he moved through the ground in spite of something to eat, waving his tail for greater pace until creeping up on a large catfish beneath the rocks in the shallow walls that bordered the pond. He slowly moved under it, easing his side body at his own pace as he slowly opened his jaws. Water poured and seeped through his razor-like blood stained teeth, filling his mouth as he moved closer and popped his jaws with the fish to struggle between them.

The bones mashed inside under brute strength of his teeth, swerving back to his spot to enjoy what was left before swallowing it whole. In yet, his stomach had not been filled, and he started to wonder if there were more left in the area for him to dine on before resting against the bank. Rising to the surface, he opened his other eyelid for a better view, huffing out water from his nose as his head stay afloat at the water's surface. As if his prayers had been answered, a delicious piece of meat strolled through his lands, limping towards the water on the other side from where he swam. Ducking under, he slowly worked his way towards the vanilla fae, eyeing her pink-black tongue that sank and curled up the water into her mouth. As the gator moved closer, he opened his jaws and quickly sprang up in front of the wolf to scare her off for his own amusement, blocking her path to the drier area so she'd back up into the thicker patch of mud. He hissed, climbing onto the shallow ground where the water went passed his stomach, tail whipping back as he threateningly jerked head forwards.

Her eyes closed slowly, taking a long breath to relieve her worries of another coming along their way and seeing her there. It was after all the neutrals, which made her curious as to know where everyone had gone lately. It was the ending of summer and nearing of fall, leaves of all colors phasing into their suits from the usual evergreen as well as the gathering in animals to scurry too and fro for preparation for winter. No matter the case, Kennedy took these instincts to key and stored them away so she'd be pre-ready before the rest and packed well enough for her rest within the colder climates. Finding her serenity, she slowly lifted her head and opened her eyes to look around, seeing no one before lowering her snout back down to continue. The unwanted feeling of being watched still lay fresh in her mind, just something from a far and out of her reach to register eyeing her state of position and having the want to attack. Though she knew not of what it was, she shook it off and blamed it on herself that maybe she was going crazy after all..

As the fae drank, she began to think about her past, wondering if she had of denied the Elite position that she wouldn't be here and her brother would have never left her with the marks he gave her in the first place. Everyday since then seemed like she were stuck in Hell, born from its fiery depths and place there forever due to how well she couldn't trust anyone. There were times she wished to have friends, a mate or eventually a family, but since her brother's revenge-filled attack took upon her, Kennedy closed herself away from feeling and socializing all together. It came to her end, leaving her last few months of her pack put to training the early Apprentices till they were able to be on their own before she journeyed away as a loner for a year, maybe two. Never were her dreams ever the same, all of them to this day filled with Modo's cold stare and blood-stained fur while she lay helpless before him, slowly dying until her pack had scared him off. She stopped drinking and flinched slightly at the sudden image of his eyes staring into her soul, biting down on her tongue that made her yip.

Kennedy opened her sapphire eyes to meet another, black as stone under the reflection of herself upon the water. Her brows furrowed and her tongue curled back into her mouth as she leaned closer for a better view of the sudden display, watching it move and soon open a pair of jaws before her. "What the Hell!?" She cursed, stumbling under her own feet backwards as the reptilian climbed half-way out of the water towards her. When trying to get to the more moveable area for her claws, she was corralled in the opposing direction by the alligator, her hind paws just barely sinking into the dark brown muck. She gasped, looking frantically around for a way of escape before stepping another step back into the thick pool. She howled, "Help me! Please!" and yelled at the top of her lungs for another miracle to spring from the heavens. Trying her best, she wiggled out her heavy paws from the ground and trudged her hardest towards the sturdy around for her hold, growling ferociously at the monster that was hissing at her. "Get away from me, bitch! Go!"

Quickening his footing, he slithered his body a bit back into the water, clawing towards the female wolf as he succeeded in putting her in his trap. The sensation and hunger growing inside him with every cry for help she tried to bring from what he can presume. He hissed louder as she howled, using his own sorts of communication in warning to make her quit. There was no where to run, no where to hide, there was only one place she could go and it wasn't going to be her walking away safely. Smiling into a wide and toothy grin, he bared his teeth at her in a great pop of his jaw, running back out of the water and closer to the mud-pile in order to scare the fae. Enjoying these games, the alligator grunted and hissed, reaching for her legs that cover with muck and filth, the wolf's scent making him go blood-thirsty. While using the trap as his advantage, he went around to her front in the attempt of blocking her from land all together, curling his tail to whip around his side towards her so she'd fall with the strong force and strength of his tail. He kept opening and popping his jaws, hissing louder at the wolf when she tried to growl at him in return.

With no help to return her call or come to her side, she found the only option to be to escape was on her own, however it did not stop her from trying. She was not going to die today, not now, not when she had so much left to see. Growling wildly and scratching at the scaled skin at the top of his head, Kennedy wormed her way towards solid ground, only to then be swept out from under her very four paws. She groaned as her body landed directly on the dark and rocky floor with slightest patches of grass to catch her fall, scurrying to her feet as quickly as she could but slipping once she felt the pain in her hind leg increase. Whimpers and painful cries left her mouth, remembering back to the day where she heard the same noises come from her throat on the day of her brother's revenge. Watching the alligator, the hunter moved back to her feet, carrying her body further up the slope in the hopes of being freed with only a sprain and chance of surviving another few years. As she felt the alligator's eyes on her, she bit back a growl and forced herself along, looking around for an escape, though she was caught up short by the thing again. "Please, anyone! Help me!" She cried. Backing up, she felt her pads touch water, widening her dark blue eyes as she knew it was the end. She could not swim, and jumping over the reptile was not possible with the injury to her foot and length of the monster. Her front paws caught themselves in the mud again, lifting and pulling while howling for more help. She was stuck, for good.

(Time Lapse~) *For the sake of others, I've done a time-lapse, but viewer's discretion is advised*

As the alligator's jaws closed in around her neck and took her beneath the water, her windpipes collapsed and she could no longer breath as the water rushed in through her airways. She struggled and fought her hardest to freedom, to air, to live, though she was not as strong as the reptile and died a slow and suffering life in the black of the lake's depths. Kennedy's last words yelped from her mouth before being taken under... Help.. however no one had come for her. She had expected it and dreaded her every being of crude attitude towards anyone who came through her way. Nyx was her only friend, one she could picture in her mind before it blanked to the color of the Elite's ivory coat. Her eyes brightened and blinded her vision within the images that flashed before her. The light behind her sapphire eyes vanished in seconds and shut closed.  The alligator when into its death roll, and that was the end. Her body went limp, lifeless between the jaws of a monster, her blood staining the murky water and surround her in a velvet red blanket.

Rest In Peace
Hunter Kennedy

08.31.2013

"I lived in darkness, isolated from all of those that could of cared for me, but it is because of him that I blame it all on. Monsters surrounded me at my most vulnerable, in yet, I am the one that doesn't stop them from hurting me inside out. In my time, I met a musical, ivory fae, she saw passed my cruel and distant attitude enough to be my friend before my final had come. I owe it to her I can die happy. It was a short life, and yes, I do regret the things I have done, but as long as there is someone to watch over from a far, I will always know I had a friend."
