A four legged figure moved slowly, curiously, through the area. It's ears perked and head swiveling around occasionally to look at something different. The figure was Pharika, a newly enlisted warrior of Erenyx. Being that she was new she was taking the opportunity to explore her new home, she wasn't sure where she was but she did have a good nose on her and had no doubt she could find her way back to the border and use the overly rude males directions to find her way to the main camp if need be, however for now she would continue her adventure.

A heavy sigh flew from the females mouth, she wasn't gonna lie, she was bored as hell. But at the same time she didn't want anyone to show up and make her less bored, mainly because she was pretty sure most Wolves of this pack were much like the male she met at the border. She had joined this pack for a reason, because she enjoyed killing and the other pack wouldn't allow that, however that didn't mean she didn't intend to at least attempt to make a friend or two, because as far as she was concerned a pack was weak if not bonded in some manner.

A friend, the thought plagued her mind, that wasn't all she wanted, she longed for a mate. Not just for the pups, no, she wanted someone to support her, not like she needed it. However, being that she lived most of alone she wanted to know what it was like to care about someone and be cared about in return. Love? Now that was something she was unsure about but maybe, just maybe, someone would be able to warm the cold black heart that resided in her.

A new scent tickled Azura’s nose, and it made her crack open her odd brightly colored silver eyes. This scent made Azura’s muzzle wrinkle up, exposing her white canines as she did. Sitting up in the den she had been currently sleep in, she breathed in the scent again. Fresh meat. She thought, because in a way the scent smell oddly of prey. Azura’s stomach gave a gurgle, reminding her that she had yet to eat. The smell was tantalizing, and she wondered what wolf brought down this said prey. She lifted her black muzzle up, her jaws opening wide as she yawned. She blew the breath out of her lungs before glancing around the leaf ridden den. She would have to finish cleaning it out and building a better nest. The makeshift nest she had put together last night only made her lay at an awkward angle. Moving the leaves she saw what had been poking her in the neck, a piece of stump. She closed her silver eyes, blowing out a breath and moving out of the den. The clear crisp morning was quite a surprise. The sun was shining high in the sky, patterning the trees and branches that surrounded the camp. They made odd shapes on the dusty ground Azura’s paws were settled upon. The large female rubbed her back against the top of her den, and slipping out of the den the rest of the way, her tail flicking. The scent was strong outside of den, and it made her stomach tighten up even more. I will thank what ever hunter brought in the- She paused in mid thought as she looked over at the female who was standing at the entrance of the camp.

That little thing was the smell? It made Azura’s tail drop in disappointment as she looked at the fae. She had been the scent, and she was still alive and kicking. “What a disappointment.” she said out loud, grumbling as she walked over to the kill pile. She picked out a rabbit, and by the scent of it she had picked it just in time. She wasn’t sure who was in charge of hunting, but it had been a few days at least since anything new had been brought into the camp. Taking the brown furred rabbit over to a shady place to sit she glanced at the new wolf once more, her silver eyes narrowed. She dropped the rabbit and spoke up to the fae. “I suggest you do a better job of not smelling like prey. You may fool some other wolves.” This of course could sound like a joke, but truly it wasn’t. Azura’s tone was very cold and held a sort of angry undertone. She looked at rabbit but then smirked and looked back up at the fae. “Welcome to you’re new personal hell.” By all means, this wasn’t meant to scare her. Oh no, that would come later. That was just a warning of sorts. This female didn’t look as if she belonged in Erenyx, but alas looks could be deceiving. Azura wasn’t sure if this female could be deceiving at all, it would be interesting if she could but...then again she could use the help. Maybe this was the perfect time to train and bring someone under her wing. “I could help you, training wise,  because from the looks of it you aren’t Erenyx material.” That was probably the nicest thing she would ever be able to say. Maybe a thank you, but that was pushing the boundaries just a bit.

New. Fresh-faced. Barely accepted into the ranks. Ashlen wore her familiar title with pride. She thought it might be a good idea to introduce herself to her fellow healers with a greeting present. Some mint or chamomile would be a good start, although really anything useful to keep the stores up would work. The only problem was, she didn't know these lands at all, where was the best place to find herbs? If she were lucky there would be a small copse somewhere that held a wide array of useful plants. More likely, though, would be that she'd have to scour every inch of these lands they called Erenyx. She'd look under every rock, climb every mountain if need be. Ashlen couldn't afford to fail here. Where else did she have to go? She didn't have any friends or alliances outside of this new pack. Not that she needed any. The Alpha here was good and strong, he seemed capable. His apology for the crimes of Malvolio was indeed appreciated, though it didn't bring Aaron back.

From the border she travelled, wandering aimlessly. She kept her eyes peeled for the intricate blossoms that marked the presence of a healing herb. Every so often she would take a particularly deep breath, her brain scanning everything she found for the very particular scents of plants like mint or lavender. So far no luck. Slow, deliberate pawsteps made her appear to glide through the forest, barely rustling a leaf. Autumn was her least favourite season. It was like a cruel form of torture. Winter everything was dead, done, gone. She could deal with that. But in autumn everything was dying. She was watching the world die. She was watching Aaron's spirit die. They'd met in her second winter, in the early stages of her first heat. He was a year older than her, conceived in an earlier year. To a Caretaker, a Healer or an Elder, it made sense that she had not conceived the first time around. Though two year old females were sexually mature, it was uncommon for one to successfully carry a litter. But when she failed again in her third winter was when the worry came. It was early summer when her dear Aaron was murdered, when she had left her pack. A time she once loved she now dreaded. To know she had spent nearly a year without her dearly beloved.

Still she walked on. Ahead a great spire jutted into the sky. Within her breast stirred an old, childish curiosity. What had formed such a structure? What beauties lay scattered about the base? Her gait quickened into a lively trot, bringing the massive tower ever-closer. She descended the stone walls into the depths of the great basin, marvelling at the clear blue of the waters surrounding the spire. Her head twisted from side to side, a massive grin spreading across her wolfish features. And down below, right in her path, were little clusters of comfrey and celandine. How perfect! The Healer rushed to her new destination, dipping her head to pull out the purple and yellow blossoms with her teeth, completely oblivious to the other two wolves just a few metres away.

Pharika had heard the other female move about and turned to face her, flicking her ears. As the ebony furred fae spoke she listened intently. She smelled of prey? Probably because she always had to catch and eat her own during her life as a loner. Pharika had half the mind to show the female what for, not Erenyx material? Who was she to say that? However, Pharika new it unwise to pick a fight with the first pack member she met, no, she would wait, she would get to know her way around first, come upon some allies and then, only then would she even consider starting or being involved in a fight with a pack member.

The longer she stood there the more she considered the faes offer, it would indeed be helpful, however, she was not an apprentice or some pup she hardly needed training, but despite her hardheadedness she knew that she could use some form of help until she got settled in, well as settled in as anyone could get in a pack like this. Glancing over she noticed another female who appeared to be looking at plants of some kind, she must have been a healer. From what she knew of packs healers were an important asset, especially if there were any massive fights.

Looking back to the first fae she nodded slightly "Training? What sort of training? I mean i suppose it never hurts to brush up on skills. I'm Pharika by the way." She said, though she hardly thought it matter to this wolf, but it couldn't hurt to tell her, because honestly that was as close to polite as Pharika ever got, because as far as she was concerned not many needed to know her name, but considering she might be 'training' with this female names might be a bit important.

The scent of the other fae made Azura’s nose twitch. She glanced at Ashlen, who was happily pawing at some herbs. It was good to know about herbs, and what exactly they were. Azura had learned a few times about herbs that weren’t the best choice to eat. Each herb was different in a way, and each one could either help or harm you. It always depended on the use of the herb and what it could exactly do for a wolf. From the looks the fae digging for herbs, she was new to the area just as much as the fae who smell like prey was. It made Azura’s lips twist into a smile thinking about good times, the good times she could have with both. Turning her attention back to her rabbit, she held it down with one paw and tore the fur off the meat, with expertise and with a grace that was rare to see. She took a chunk of meat and ate it, before laying down with the rabbit in between her paws. As a pup Azura had always been told to share, and she had always given the same answer, no. Sharing only caused wolves to think that Azura had a heart, and there was no coming back from that. Azura took another chunk of meat, enjoying the taste of the rabbit. It wasn’t fresh as she was used to, but it was still meat and she enjoyed it. All that was left was a pile of striped fur and bones. She scratched the ground and placed the bones in the small hole before covering it up.

She would save the scraps of fur for her nest in her den. They would make a lovely addition to her nest. She glanced up as Pharika spoke, and chuckled softly. Ahh..a taker..good. She thought and stood up padding over to her. Azura enjoyed training others, bringing them to their full potential and then pushing them even more. It was a treat to see, and a treat to know that she can break and build a wolf up. Unfortunately for them, she never built them in her image. There was only one of a kind, and that was her and her only. Azura sat tall in front of the fae, her silver eyes liquid and menacing. She couldn’t help the cruel smile that twisted her features as she spoke. “A hard but necessary treat, my training is. I can teach you better ways to not look as scrawny or as helpless. I can teach you to become strong.” She said, tipping her head to the side and letting out a soft chuckle. “I can teach you many things, if you are willing?” She stared at Pharika with soft silver eyes wondering if she would take the offer or not. If she did not well..it was her loss. Azura would have no hard feelings for the fae if she didn’t, she just would be lost like every poor creature that walked through the entrance. Azura’s eyes drifted to the healer as she waited, patiently for an answer. Just what was she collecting? What ever it was it seemed to excite the other fae.

PostSubject: Re: Let the Exploration Begin {FINNISHED} Let the Exploration Begin {FINNISHED} Icon_minitimeFebruary 5th 2015, 20:38

She'd picked a nice little bundle of the two beautiful flowers. The purple comfrey hung like little bells from the side of her muzzle. Coloured red they would make a festive little bouquet in the winter. Interspersed through the little blossoms were the little bright petals of the celandine. She had more than she could comfortably carry, but the Healer thought if maybe she could find a small, tough blade of grass she could loop them into separate bundles and transport them to the Healers den and add to the storage. She looked back up the hill, wondering how she would find the clearing where other wolves made their dens. Ears swivelled around, catching the curious sound of unknown voices. Seconds later the head followed, catching along the way just how much water covered this area. There were little grasses, weeds, poking through the surface of the water, but they would be damp and weak. She needed something tough and dry.

Completing the turn she saw two females, new packmates she supposed. One was a little shorter than Ashlen, decorated in hues of sable. The other was possibly the same size if not a little taller, covered in a pelt of night. Their eyes she couldn't make out from this distance, but she would see if they spoke to her. "Hrro," She called, her voice muffled by the disarray clutched between her canines. She trotted over, grinning as much as she could without losing her prize. At her paws she spotted a small stack of rocks atop which there was a perfectly flat and rounded stone. The Healer daintily placed the little blooms on their pedestal, raising her head to smile at her new acquaintances. Hopefully, the members of this pack were more trustworthy than those of her old home. She swallowed, "My apologies. I meant to say hello. I didn't mean to seem so rude earlier, I hope you both weren't standing there long believing I ignored you. My name is Ashlen, only just accepted by our Alpha Teren this morning." She seemed happy, polite. She shrugged it off, better to make some friends with a good first impression.

Pharika nodded slightly to the female before speaking "Yes, yes.i think that would be helpful, like I said it never hurts to brush up on skills or learn new things. After all, Life is about bettering yourself and your skills." she said without hesitation. This fae seemed to be strong and smart, why not see what she could learn from her? However, Pharika was hoping that this wouldn't make the rest of her new pack members think her weak for getting training from a fellow warrior, but then again it wasn't training as much as it was...well it was training, but Pharika would never admit to it.

As the second fae approached only being a little taller than herself Pharika gave her a friendly nod. This female seemed very peppy, no, not peppy. Just overly friendly. Smiling back at her Pharika looked down at the herbs by her paws "I am Pharika, and I too was accepted today, by a male i know wasn't The alpha, I didn't catch his name." she replied her cold blue eyes scanning over the she-wolf. Yes her earlier thoughts were correct, this one must have been a healer, important yes. Weak usually. This one however didn't look too weak, but also didn't look much like warrior quality.

Shaking out her heavily scarred pelt she twisted and licked some fur into place on her right thigh, where three thick claw marks extended the entire length of her leg. Aside from the scar on her face these three were her most prominent, though she didn't mind talking about them not many wolves asked her, mainly because her scars and Icey cold gaze warded off any questioners. Looking back to the ebony wolf she sighed, the was going to be....fun? No, who was she trying to kid, this wolf was obviously one for hard training and fast progression, this was going to be a pain in the tail.

While speaking to Pharika, the small healer came towards them, and Azura’s ears flicked to catch the noise of her walking. With her mouth full, she tried to speak a greeting and it made Azura tip her head a bit. As she laid down the herbs, she sniffed the herbs from a distance. She didn’t recognize them, but then again her knowledge of herbs wasn’t very vast. That was why she was a warrior and not a healer. Looking at the herbs and then back to the healer as she spoke, Azura seemed relaxed. She always looked relaxed, but Azura always had her guard up. She wondered what exactly was going through the Healer’s head as the fae approached them. Friends? It made Azura want to laugh, but she shook it off and nodded to the healer with some respect. She wouldn’t exactly buddy buddy up to the healer, but she would give her the respect she deserved. “No, no rudeness at all. Welcome to Erenyx.” she took in the healer’s scent, a pleasant smell of herbs. “At least you do not smell of prey.” Azura gave her a wicked grin, her canines flashing.

Turning back to Pharika as she spoke, Azura gave a nod. “Yes of course.” She said, flicking her dark ebony black ears in response. Azura’s training was never nice, she had trained many before. She had always been the “head trainer” when it came to young pups. They always wanted to learn from Azura, that was until things had gone south in the pack she had lived in and she left. In her travels she trained few but of the harsh training she gave, only the strongest wanted to be by her side as she trained. She had only a few successfully learn from her, and they turned out to be the strongest in their pack. It was good work, especially for a loner who needed a shelter to stay in. Letting out a huff of breath, she looked at the two wolves, and thought about training. Yes, Pharika would be better after this training, if she were to survive. It would be difficult to explain a dead member to...well maybe it would be so hard. If she didn’t survive...in a life or death situation then she didn’t deserve to live in the first place. Shaking her head a bit at the thought, she looked at the two. “Are you ready for training or shall we start tomorrow?” She tilted her head to the side, one ear flicking as she did.

Pharika thought for a moment "Tomorrow if that is ok" she answered dipper her head to both wolves before padding off. Once out of sight she began to jog, then run, her paws splashing in water every now and then. Her head was pounding and her eyes watered a bit from the wind that hit them from her running. As her fur rippled she huffed, she had heard of a beachy area near by. She had only been here a day or two and she was already fed up with these wolves. Slowing to a stop she shook out her fur with a poor tempered growl, what sort of pack could function properly like this? All its members so distant and hateful of each other? She personally would stand for all of this rudeness coming for her 'fellow pack members'. The only nice one she had met was the odd healer, but she hadn't even really got to meet her meet her. Letting out another growl she took off running once more following her nose towards the smell of salt water that she assumed to be the sandy beachy area.
