Name: Aconitum

Gender: Female

Age: 5 years

Pack: Helidos

Rank Requested: Warrior.

Appearance:
Aconitum is a rather fit wolf with powerful legs that have yet to fail her in a hunt. This muscular frame and her sinewy legs aid immensely in both speed and strength, a female built to brawl. Her thick coat is black and dark-brown with a lighter under-coat. In the sunlight, the brown in her coat give off a dark-red hue that is most prominent in the summer. Often times, her fur's thickness fills out her more slender features, making her look bigger than she really is. Aconitum's eyes are a piercing amber, nearly orange and surrounded by jagged scars she acquired during a fight with a belligerent male. Scars with similar history decorate her hind end and legs, as well as her chest and snout. Through her rough exterior, Aconitum tries to hold herself like that of a lady; head held high, back straight and face gentle with a slight emotionless bite.

History:
As a pup, the word family was very foreign to Aconitum and still remains a mystery today. Born to a lone female, fatherless for reasons her mother refused to tell, and the only survivor of a litter of four, she wasn’t given the chance to experience acceptance or true protection. Her mother, naturally reluctant to lose another pup, was constantly moving to avoid the larger threats that frequently had her on edge and at the end of her rope. As a result of this, Aconitum’s mother was a very skittish wolf and found it hard to trust just about anyone. Whenever they did manage to find shelter, her mother never left the den to hunt for too long, only bringing back very small prey such as mice for fear that a bigger wolf or worse would happen upon Aconitum and kill the pup before she returned. After a year or so of near starvation, Aconitum’s shadowing and her practice with hunting was finally beginning to pay off. However, one early morning, her mother left the den to hunt a quick meal. While her mother was out, a risky encounter with a black-bear ended her swiftly.

Aconitum never knew what happened to her mother and was thrown into a state of anger and complete disbelief with the thought that she’d just been abandoned… forgotten. From then on, she began acting out violently any chance she saw. For two years, the young wolf ran amok. Heartbroken and unwanted, she picked fights with any male she saw as a challenge. So much so, that it became a high for her. She loved the insulting slurs she threw and she loved the ones received even more. It always got her blood pumping to feel the sting of another wolf’s tooth and claw rip into her flesh and even more so when she returned the favor. However, this was just child’s play; no real training or organization to her attacks. Before her death, Aconitum’s mother taught her basic fighting techniques, but only enough to stay alive. As a result of this, she often lost to the more experienced wolves. Often times, she was lucky enough to get roughed up and let off with a warning, but that was before she mouthed off to the wrong wolf.

The day started off like any other. Aconitum woke with a loud, exaggerated yawn and stretched her scarred legs, listening to the subtle cracks her joints made and enjoying the gentle pull of the tightened patches of skin against her fur. Outside, the air was cool and crisp; a clear indication that winter was ending and it would waste no time. Upon padding out of her recently claimed den, she saw him immediately.

He was tall and muscular, obviously a creature to steer clear of. The beast’s fur was a glossy jet-black and his eyes were a sharp ice-blue that seemed as if they could cut through diamond as easily as a knife through butter. The male’s tail was short and stubby, like he’d lost it to something hungry. As the strange wolf padded through the trees, his eyes scanned the area carefully, but this carefulness seemed… joking. The wolf knew he could easily twist the head off of an opponent, but he seemed to be having fun.

Aconitum narrowed her eyes at the wolf, taking in his size and assessing the possible… no, definite danger she faced if she tried picking a fight with the bruit. This thought only fueled the fire burning brightly in her belly, letting the flames lick up and light her amber eyes with a hatred so white hot, it made her body tingle with anticipation. Aconitum could hardly sit still. Her tail flicked from side to side as she kept her burning eyes glued to the wolf. As if her mental threats were carrying through, the strange male’s ears perked higher on his head and he stopped only a few feet in front of her. He met her cold stare with one of his own, yet colder. Below zero, in fact. Aconitum could tell she was nothing more than a fragment of garbage to this wolf and it made the fire burn even brighter than before.

Without thinking, Aconitum sprang forward. Her teeth were bared and her ears drew back. She managed to sink her teeth into one of the wolf’s massive legs, but he stopped the fight as quickly as it started. In a moment, the wolf had Aconitum by her neck and ripped her off of him. Aconitum yelped in pain as he threw her to the ground and pinned her, proceeding to tear at her flesh with his razor teeth and claws. Aconitum tried desperately to fight back, but he held her still with his strong jaws. It wasn’t too far into her mauling that Aconitum slipped into unconsciousness.

After the mauling, the wolf had taken Aconitum to pack territory she hadn’t know existed. There, her wounds were treated and she was taken care of until she healed. The wolf let her stay within the safety of the pack as long as she agreed to bare him a litter. Reluctantly, she agreed and gave birth to a litter of three only two years after being taken into the unnamed pack. Sadly, the pups only survived a few months before their father began to deem them a threat to his position. With a cold heart, he slaughtered the pups and told Aconitum that if she didn’t leave, he’d finish what he started the night she was taken in.

Aconitum, now at age five, was a broken wolf and back where she started. Although, she left the territory with a gentler disposition and traveled around, telling stories of her past and of the brief time she had what she could only hope was a family.

(This is just a little something I took from another roleplay that involved anthro werewolves.)

The chirps and caws of distant birds echoed in the large, dense forest. Slender streams of sunlight broke through the thick canopy above and made bright pools of light where they hit the thick carpet of dead leaves and moss on the forest floor. The morning air was thick with a smoking mist and laced with the icy chill of the approaching winter season.  The atmosphere was still, quiet as though the slightest noise would shatter the thin glass of peace and solitude. The setting was peaceful, yet eerie. A large Buck was nearby, grassing on the yellowing patches of grass spread about the forest. The male deer's antlers looked to be too heavy for the beast to handle. They branched out of the top of his head like tree limbs. The buck's breathing was slow and steady, his ears twitching to the slightest noise. The animal continued to eat, blissfully unaware of the hunter that was stalking him, close on his trail.

The hunter loomed in the trees, suspending herself from their branches. Her usually snow-white fur was brown and wet with caked mud and grass from the swamp just down the way, hoping to mask her sent with the naturally occurring smells of the forest. Her long, thin muzzle twitched slightly with every passing breeze, taking in every new smell, recognizing them and becoming familiar with them as though they were distant cousins. The pointed ears on the top of the hunter's head swiveled back and forth. The small, silver rings piercing them tugged as they moved, trying to hear everything the buck heard. Her long tail swayed from side to side in anticipation, quietly ruffling the leaves around her. One of her large paws lay over the hilt of the hunting knife cradled in the yak pelt sheath tied to her slender, yet muscular, thigh. Her rough paw pads gingerly caressed the smooth, marble yak horn that made the hilt. Her cold, ice-blue eyes never left her pray.

In the middle of a mouthful of grass, the large, antlered beast lifted his head and stood silently in place. His ears moved around in quick, little circles. The hunter decided that then was her time to strike, while the buck was distracted. She slowly moved to a more agile position and prepared to leap from her perch. As she shifted her weight, a small twig snapped with an audible crack that seemed to echo for miles. The hunter cringed, knowing that now, she had to chase down her food. The buck jumped at the small noise and ran further into the woods, taking great bounds over fallen trees and large rocks as if it were effortless. The hunter wasted no time jumping from the shadows and running after the buck, showing just as little effort as he did. On all fours, the hunter had an inhuman speed all her own, faster than any other female she’d known. In this day and age, she had to. The buck was panting, his lungs straining to keep him ahead of the predator. He tried to make odd turns, sharp as pins. He jumped over streams and tall obstacles, hoping to lose his hunter. Hot on his tail, the hunter never lost sight or had to worry about losing his trail. She was patient. Prepared to chase the buck down until his legs gave out.

After a few minutes into the chase, the male deer made the fatal mistake of stealing a glance behind him, seeing for the first and last time how close he was to his demise. The hunter took the opportunity and leapt. Her sharp claws latched onto the hind end of the buck, sinking into the short, brown fur of his pelt. The hunter and the buck hit the ground with a heavy thump. The buck tried to kick the hunter off, hitting her in the stomach. The hunter winced when she felt one of her ribs crack, but she quickly ignored the shooting pain and climbed further onto the buck, startling it. She leaned forward and ran a calming paw over the panicked creature's long face.

"There, there little one. It's alright." The hunter soothed as she unsheathed her knife. Still caressing the shaking animal, she brought the cool blade to his neck, careful not to let him see, and dragged it quickly across his gullet. The cut was clean and quick, silencing the frightened creature and put it to a cold, eternal slumber. Satisfied with her work, the hunter put her knife back into its sheath and lifted herself off the buck's lifeless corpse. Grabbing hold of both its antlers, the hunter dragged the deer back to her den.

Halfway to her den, the hunter stopped at a large waterfall to clean herself off. As she slowly washed away the mud clinging to her fur,a snow-white pelt over a slender body was revealed. She was lanky, but for her slenderness, she was rather toned. Her pelt was marked with deep red paint streaks that made two rings over her left eye and ran down her back in swirls and curls. All of her fur was the same length, even the fur around her head. She never liked the way most females wore their hair, longer than the rest of their fur and flowing. She always shook her head in pity at the other female hunters, trying to tail pray with that long hair always in their faces, tickling their noses. The hunter chuckled at this thought, but it soon faded and her face contorted with anger. She thought back to the other female werewolves. How they were able to lounge around with their pups without a care in the world.

“All those snobs have to do is take care of the pups and eat when the game is brought back from the hunt.” The hunter snarled as she clenched her fists.
She could feel hot tears of frustration well in her eyes. She couldn't do that, she couldn't relax and spend time with her young. She couldn't leave the den without fear of someone coming along and claiming it as their own. They were part of a pack, a family that would die trying to protect each other. She was alone, a rouge, forever forbid from safety and happiness.

Hey Aconitum, just a couple things that need some attention:

Your avatar must be changed to an image of your wolf before you can be accepted. If you need help with resizing or colouring, feel free to PM me.
History: There are a few points here that need addressing
a) A mother wolf would not willingly leave her pup (if for some reason she did, the pup would die). If they were forcibly separated and unable to find one another, we might allow this. But please fix it so it makes a little more sense (add some detail). And make sure the timeline of her life adds up to her correct age (currently she is listed at five years but you've only accounted for about three and a half years.
b) Realistically, any pup younger than a year old would not survive without its mother and pack. They are still growing and learning and wouldn't have enough knowledge to make it on their own. Please amend this.
c) Where is her father? You don't really mention him. Wolves mate effectively for life and raise the young together. Did he die? Was the mother raped? Elaborate on this please.
d) Her history of fighting males, was she ever taught by her mother? You don't mention much of her childhood aside from "months of starvation" (which would usually result in the death of the pup and mother) and "a risky encounter with a black bear" (possible to survive depending on the circumstances). Basically, where did she learn to fight? Was it self taught? These are things you can use to add detail to your history.
Example post: Am I correct in assuming your example is a post from another site? It's polite just to let us know before we read otherwise we might not realise and ask you to change it for consistency reasons. If I'm right, you're writing in the perspective of an anthro character, which is fine but please do let us know- if we don't know we read it expecting it to be a wolf character and it won't make much sense to us.

Please look over and amend these things. Comment below when you're done so a staff member can look over your profile again.
