Gemini followed her paws until she came across a place where she felt would have plenty of prey, if only it was any other time of the year. This was the worst time to find prey, but hopefully she got lucky. This place was resting between mountains, in the summer this would be a great place for finding prey. She could tell by the scent and animal prints that animals still came around here, maybe just because they knew during summer that it was a good place for food so they came here. The animals could also be heading somewhere too, but the tracks all crossed each other so the animals were not in search of the same place. The hunter walked with her nose up, silently walking as she was alert for any movement or new scents. She needed to find something and she needed to find something quickly, her pack would need it to keep strong so they could defend themselves. She knew she would have to be lucky to find any big prey, but Gemini didn't want to rely on luck during this hunt. Soon enough a scent blew in the wind, it was deer. Three of them to be exact, if only some other wolves were with her. Then she might have a chance of getting all three. She turned her head and started stalking over the small hill in the direction of the deer. They were not staying put, which meant they were not able to pay attention to their surroundings as easily as they would if they were standing in one place. She was debating whether she should go get help so she could get all three or whether she should just go for it.

Gemini had finally made her decision, if she left then she could very easily lose their scent completely if it was to start snowing again. She stalked forward, keeping her distance and staying off to the side with the wind blowing their scent to her. If the wind shifted though, she would make her move and charge them. For now though, she continued to slowly make her way closer, silently and out of their view. The wind still gave her the advantage. Once she got close enough to properly examine each deer she picked out which one was the strongest and knew not to go after that one, the one that was the weakest was the safest choice but she noticed the one that was neither had the most meat and would feed the pack better. Gemini felt the wind starting to shift and soon enough her scent was blowing to the deer. They stopped walking and looked around alert. This was her chance, she managed to stalk a little closer before a deer spotted her. Right when it lay eyes on her she lunged at the one with the most meat. Her teeth latched onto its shoulder, blood started dripping down its side as she started to tighten her grip. Once she felt the deer stumble a little she let go of it and twisted her body perfectly so that she landed on her paws and could get right back to running after it. Once close enough again she made another lunge for it and this time latched onto its upper neck.

The loose skin was grasped in her jaw as the taste of blood flowed into her mouth. She had made a false jump, she let go once more landing on her paws and falling into a steady run next to the limping deer. She hoped another wolf would come and get one of the other deer so they could feed the pack a lot better, she would have to relax after taking down this deer although she still could help this wolf that came along next if it needed help. She made her last lunge and felt her jaws close around the deer's neck. She was already feeling herself get tired so she made it quick. She used her last bit of strength to kill it. One clean bite, Gemini jumped off the deer and watched as the deer stumbled then fell to the ground. She had managed to kill it without any help, she was tired before she started the chase after the deer but now she needed to relax. She lay down next to the deer guarding her kill from any other animals that don't belong to her pack. Before resting her head on her paws she lifted her head and let a call be released from her throat. It was loud and announced that she had food to share with the pack. Once she finished her call she lay her head on her paws and let her eyes close. She felt like she would be able to provide for the pack good, although she was unaware of the gash in her side from the deer's buck. She didn't even notice when it did that to her. She was to focused on providing for her new pack, Agavos.

[This was a lot longer than intended and hopefully it doesn't seem to drag on. If you reply to this don't worry about writing as much as much as I did here because I probably won't be able to do this again.]

Fel watched with interest as she spotted a huntress of their pack following a trail whilst taking a patrolling stroll for herself. She was not on border patrol, but was rather exploring the lands and making sure everything was running smoothly. Gemini did not seem to notice her from the distance, so focused on her hunt. The Elite observed her for a few long moments before following after her. She had offered her help before, and would gladly give her aid again. Following on silent, broad paws, the raven fae targeted both the scent of the prey and the other wolf. She approached downwind, but padded around and past the smaller fae. Speed was not her forté, though she did not necessarily lack it. But an ambush would be best for her. Settling herself among the brush, Fel coiled her muscles in preparation to dart out, assuming that Gemini would have to take the first move on the deer. The tiny herd would likely come this way when they ran.

Ears focused forward, she felt the snow-covered earth with her paws. It took several moments before the thrumming of their hooves began to vibrate the ground. At the perfect moment, the Elite rushed forward at a perpendicular angle to the panicked deer’s path. It was the medium of the three, yet still significantly larger than the weak one. The runt would be easiest to pick off later. For now, it was important to eliminate those who were strong. With a grunt, she intercepted the ungulate, ducking her head down to the side to secure a hold on one leg and ramming her shoulder into the deer with full force. Biting down furiously, she injured the prey’s ankle, snarling as her shoulder squarely received an angry kick in return. Dragging the animal forward, Fel further thrashed and dislodged the joint, then immediately diving towards the back of its neck. With a rapid jerk, its suffering was over and its struggling limbs fell limply onto the snow. Taking a deep, softly groaning breath, she wiggled and flexed her shoulder. Thankfully, everything was fully operational. It was no more than a bruise. After regaining a decent amount of air in her lungs, she trotted over to visit Gemini, whose lonely call just began to sound. Throwing her chin upwards, Fel joined her with a deeper voice. Once they were both finished, the Elite marched over beside the resting hunter. The fae was obviously suffering from fatigue. As she drew nearer, she detected a gash upon the side on which we was approaching. The wound did not seem serious, but it would require the attention of their healer. In a deep rumbling tone, Fel spoke to her pack mate, “Congratulations upon this fine kill, Hunter Gemini. I am quite impressed. However, I do give you the order to see a healer immediately. I know minor wounds are no big issue for strong wolves, but infections can be. You never know where these deer have trekked.” Lowering her head down, she nudged the relaxing fae’s shoulder with her broad snout. “Up and at ‘em. To the healer. Let’s go.” The words were well-intended, but came across harshly. It was not that she intended them to be commanding, though commands they were, but rather that her voice made them come across more unsympathetic than another wolf’s. Fel would get the fae moving first, hopefully in time for someone else to show up and protect the well-deserved meal until everyone arrived. What would’ve been the optimal outcome was for the healer to come to them. Realizing this, Fel inhaled deeply and released a summoning howl for the healer. Whether or not she would come, however, was unknown. For the meantime, the Elite returned to nudging the injured huntress up onto her paws, ignoring the throbbing in her own shoulder.
