Being accepted into a pack had brought her some relief, now her wish for stability in her life was complete. It was a large weight that had been slowly pushing her down, almost extinguishing her life. She had been able to keep herself fit and youthful looking long enough to make it to these lands, and was proud of herself for doing so. The small fae walked north in the territory, Desmond having offered to let her walk the territory or come camp. She took the first option, wanting to see if anything smelled familiar to her. Despite the summer heat, up north is cooler and the air was thin, she could see her breath as she came upon Borealis Bay. The air was chilled and the whole area was covered in slick white ice. It was strange to see for the summer months, but as she was far up North in Agavos territory it was not impossible. She had patrolled the whole border, starting from where she had come in to here, she had smelled other packs near by but nothing was strong enough for her to pick up on.

The scents had been faint, and farther up north there really hadn’t been anything but Agavos. Having a home, despite missing her family, was a nice change, it made her feel accepted. Her heart burned in her chest as she thought about her sisters, she had missed them terribly. She missed Quinn’s laugh, and her smile it was able to lighten the mood of any wolf. She did miss Lark’s boldness and her quirky attitude, but those things were in the past. Perhaps they had changed, and maybe for the better. The small fae sighed and looked at the crisp ice that was slightly thinner next to the shore, moving away from the grassy area she walked to the edge of the shore. The rough stones under her paw pads reminded her how sore she truly was and winced slightly at the feeling.

It was quiet in Borealis Bay, only the wind stirred making the air seem cold and unforgiving. A sigh escaped the grey, white and tan fae as she thought about the past. The past could be so memorable, and yet so harsh at the same time. She closed her soft golden eyes, trying to clear her thoughts and think about the present. Settling into camp was her first objective, meeting other wolves and getting comfortable with them was her second, and third was trying to find answers about her family. If by a long chance her sister was here she would call it a miracle. She held her head high, her shoulders straightened and once she opened her eyes her golden gaze was watching the ice shift before her. It was farther out so it wasn’t affecting the stronger ice closer to her, it was interesting to see the ice move and shift creating new black holes of cold water. A shiver went through her slender body as she thought about just how cold that water would be, even with the direct sunlight upon it. She didn’t let herself focus on anything in particular, she just let her mind drift.

All things in life had been pulled to a halt, nothing other than the daily routine being what the brute would have to look forward to. The pack since the hunt was peaceful, but the male had a feeling it was because of the death that took place that day. The Lead Warrior still believed it was the wolf's own fault she had lost her life that day. Making such a careless move towards the bucking bull was clearly a death sentence and made the brute feel nothing could have been done to change the outcome of it. The omega that had gotten knocked out was however awake now as Erabus had seen the other walking about the pack clearing every so often. Other than that, not much was happening in Agavos and the Lead Warrior was never the more satisfied. Aglæca and Aeron were always filled with something going on, the nature of his second home all about war and blood. Over there, it seemed like every second was a battle or fight for food. The area was plentiful, but the wolves in the pack just didn't care to share or catch their own food.

It's what made Agavos seem so intriguing, for the wolves of this pack helped one another and while none of them knew each other well, the pack was like a family... sorta. Erabus had been wishing for a new start, a life were no one would know him or his past and releasing a short, heavy sigh, the male would feel pleased that no one did know his history. Fel was the only one so far to know of his exile, but that was about it which still kept the brute in the clear. For now. Bronze paws striking the earth in a set of heavy steps, the Lead Warrior would travel aimlessly through the territory. The brute had no destination to where he was going, and with no clue to how far he was traveling the male would become part of the mystery of the adventure. It was curiosity which kept the brute going, each motion of his limbs being a new "What's up ahead?" in his mind. Erabus still had to explore many of the unknown lands in Agavos, and with this being his home, the male was sure he could do so during the rest of his life time. Hopefully.

Bi-colored orbs scanning the area, the lush vegetation of trees and the other forest flora was soon swept away by the looks of ice and snow. It was the season of summer, where everything was hot and dried so to see a frozen lake right infront of him, confused Erabus just a bit. The unexpected winds sent a male chill through the Lead Warriors body, his fur rustling in the air as it continued to move before dying out. Such a strange sight. Cool to the touch, the brute was thankful for his dense coat as he made his way outwards to continue north, the ice seemingly solid enough for his weight.. or two. In his sight was another being, a wolf further to the side but this stranger was doing nothing. She just looked to be standing there, lost in thought perhaps but maybe, she was in trouble as well. Frost bite was nothing to toy with as the condition could make one loose their paw. "Excuse me, miss? Are you alright?" Erabus would inquire, coming closer and closing the wide distance between them. The Lead Warrior would watch carefully as he made his way over, not sure if this fae was to be mild or hostile.

(ooc- sorry it sucked)

The cool wind cut through her like sharp claws, and it caused her breath to be taken away. She felt a her fur shift in the wind, the bitter cold cutting to her skin. She winced a bit feeling chills run down her spine, but she liked the chill. It was strange how hot she had been just a few moments before and now she was shivering in the cold. Although the bitter cold could drive most away, she stayed in her spot watching the shifting eyes farther in the water. Her ears were perked forward at the sound of the ice crashing against the larger pieces, but the farther in towards the shore it got stronger and not even the floating pieces of ice could crack it. It was getting hotter out however, no matter how cold it was here, it was still warming up and some of the pieces were breaking off into smaller ones. She watched them float through the darker waters, knowing that if a wolf were to fall through it would be the end of that particular wolf. The dark waters lashed at the ends of the ice farther out and she shivered at the thought of drowning. Her worst fear was drowning, it always has been.

She felt very old at this moment, sitting there on the bank of the cold icy wind, feeling it against her thinned out fur. She had been through a lot in her five years, and nothing had ever been so successful as coming to these lands that she now had called home. She had met many on the way, and of course she wouldn’t forget them but something about finding this area felt right. She sighed and closed her eyes, hearing the ice crash against the other chunks. The noise it made was slightly irritating but it was also calming, it made her feel less alone at that moment. She had been alone long enough when she was a loner and now that times had finally begun to change...it was better. Sighing she opened her eyes again and the wind blew again the chill making her shiver once more. Heaving her body up she walked along the rocky shore stopping once more to sit right at the edge of the shore close to the ice looking at its opaque white color while her thoughts were completely meaningless.

The male’s voice was like a shock to her and she turned her head swiveling to one side as she looked at him. The first thing she noticed was his bi-colored eyes, and then his stance. She had not met this wolf yet, but he seemed some-what nice. He wasn’t in her face demanding to know why she had been there so she felt a little better about that. It took a few moments for the beautiful grey, tan and white colored fae to finally speak and when she did it was almost bright. “I am perfectly fine, just relaxing in the slightly chilly wind.” she said and then looked him over once more. What was he doing out here? “My name is Esmé, I am a new Hunter of Agavos. Who are you?” She asked and turned to face him, the wind blowing up her back making her gasp. The chill was real this time, and it caused her claws to dig into the rocky soil.

Limbs moving at a steady speed, the sound of the ice and frost beneath his paws shifting would strike the males auds to alert him to be cautious. The brute would need to be careful here, even with the temperature cold enough to keep the ice solid, the season of summer would make a few spots softer than others. One slip, and it could be the brutes very last if he made the mistake of not watching where he was going. Gold and Silver orbs turning down to the ground every so often as the Lead Warrior remained alert to his surroundings, the brute would continue to come closer to the fae. The stranger didn't seem to be in danger, but Erabus would have no knowledge if that was true or not until he came closer. After making himself known to the other, the male would slow down his pace and erect his ears as the fae would appear shocked. The brute had not meant to scare her, and when the female turned to view the warrior, Erabus would offer a slight smile to show he meant no harm. It was a weird thing, how often he ended up smiling in Agavos towards others from the pack.

The last time he had smiled was when he had been with his brother, yet that was before things in Aeron turned serious and the two became hostile with one another. Oh, how he missed his sibling. Erabus would have given anything to change that unfortunate day, to save his brother so the two could be here today. The Lead Warrior however could not change the past, and only had the option of going forward to pursue the rest of his life. Slowing down, the brute would snap out of his thoughts and once reaching the fae, Erabus would keep a good distance between them to not seem so close or upset the lone fae. Esmé.. It was a pretty name, and fit the other well. It did sound like more should have been added, and curious, Erabus would wonder if the fae's name was short for another lengthy one. "Pleasure to meet you Esmé, I am Lead Warrior Erabus." Bowing his head to the fae, his auds would perk at the sound of her gasping and lifting his head once more, the brute would chuckle. "Slightly chilly huh?" Carefully, the brute would lower his rear to sit, the males bronze tail turning from beneath him to curl around his thigh. "If I may, what are you doing out here?" Erabus would ask, the feeling of another breath of wind shuffling the bronze coat he carried. The cold climate didn't bother the Lead Warrior much, he had been built with fur to stand against such temperatures but it did make the hotter seasons like Spring and Summer a hassle as he could overheat quickly.

Looking into Erabus’s different colored eyes, she tilted her head slightly to the side. As the brute sat in the cold air, she noticed that he seemed a bit tense for a few moments before releasing it all. To the fae he seemed quite happy to be out here, but he seemed more curious as to why she was out here. She had happened to glance and see his smile, and it felt nice to have another wolf smile at her. Sometimes, Esmé felt like she was doing all the smiling or complimenting. It was a different, and yet nice change to feel the way others felt when she did it. She didn’t feel like the other wolf would have harmed her, and maybe that was why he had seemed a little tense before hand. It didn’t bother Esmé, he seemed polite enough which was ok with her. The cold wind snapped her back to attention, back to his gaze as she had gone unfocused with thoughts. She flicked her ears, and cleared her throat as he spoke up, telling her his name.

Erabus.. She thought, never having heard that name before. It was quite different, and interesting. She liked it, it reminded me of Desmond for his name was unique as well. She knew a lot of wolves that her name was different, and that didn’t bother her. She knew it wasn’t very common to hear a wolf that was named Esmé. She had nodded her grey and white head at his words, her bright golden eyes locked onto his. “It is a pleasure to meet you Erabus. You are one of the first wolves I have met of Agavos. I was by luck in meeting the alpha at the border.” She said with a light chuckle, but the bitter wind soon took her breath away making her shiver. “Very chilly, but nice in a way to get away from the summer heat.” She said to him, watching him as he took a seat. She had wondered the same as he asked why she was out here. The chilly air filled her lungs as she thought of an answer. She flicked her ears before answering, “I guess I am out here because I wanted to explore...and because it is quite captivating is it not..” She trailed off looking out at the ice. “I mean look at this ice.” She said standing up and place her two front paws on the edge of the strong ice. “Quite sturdy.” She added on, thinking about going out on the edge. “It should hold a lot more than just me..” She said and took a few steps on the ice before taking a seat. “See?” She said with a slight chuckle.

Her laugh was short lived, as a loud and almost defining crack could be heard. Not from her weight however, from the ice out further out. A large chunk of ice crashed into the ice, that was farther out and close to her. The large crack had stopped only a few feet away but now smaller darting white cracks were forming and they started to form under her paws. Never had she felt fear like this as the ice crack under her paws. She looked up at Erabus, fear showing deep in her golden eyes. As long as she didn’t move the ice didn’t crack, but she needed to get away before another chunk crashed into the island. She didn’t know what to do, her fear high and tight in her chest. She began to shake, as she looked around for anything to help her. She knew if Erabus stepped out on the ice it would crack further and cause not only her to tumble into the icy depths but also him.

(You remember the scene I was talking about from TWD S2 game? I want to do that where Luke was standing there, the cracked ice under him and clem tries to go to him but he tells her to stop. I want to reverse that XD Where she tells him stop. I think that would be fun. Also, sorry if this is to soon o.o)

Taking the time to sit, the large male would do so to relax for a moment in the cool landscape. Banner turned and curled to rest just near the side of his paws, its tip would involuntarily twitch from left to right. Triangular shaped ears motioning above his head as well, Erabus would listen to the small fae as she would speak. It was only the proper thing to do as he had approached her, not the other way around. Agavos was his home and family, to make enemies so quickly was not on his agenda and will never be. Erabus wished not to be hated by a pack mate and would not like for the feeling to be vise-verse. That would make life hard if all he wanted to do was bite that particularly wolf. "Indeed." The Lead Warrior would voice, his comment coming after the female's remark about the weather. The climate here was a nice escape from the heated summer's sun, instantly cooling one's temperature as they stepped around the ice. Glancing quickly at the landscape, Erabus could see himself coming here often. It had a soothing feeling attached to it and would do well for him to just come if he ever needed time to think or calm down. Hearing the others reasons for being here, the brute could only nod his head in agreement to how interesting the land was.

Ice and all, it was remarkable something like this was around the territory during the Summer, where it had survived this season and Spring. By now it should have melted, but by defying all odds, it was still solid and strong. Esmé was currently proving such thought. Bi-colored eyes watching with a steady gaze as she would place her forepaws on the ice and with a quick comment, go further out. There was not much to say, and eyeing the area the Hunter stood on, Erabus would lift his head at the sound of crackling ice. Further out was a block of solid frost, it's large mass breaking through and striking the deep waters only to sink. This wasn't over however as the ice would separate and form crackles around and beneath the fae where she currently sat. Slowly, Erabus would rise to his paws, monitoring the ground before he would gaze back up. Met with the look of absolute fear, the Lead Warrior could see how frightened the other was and knowing he needed to do something all he could do was stand and process all the possibility that could happen. If he stepped on the ice, his weight could be what finishes the cracks off sending both to the depths of the lake. But, if he managed to get over and shove Esmé out of the way, only he would fall beneath. Neither options sounded good but the idea of letting the Hunter just stand there wasn't something he wished to think of. "Don't panic, okay? I'm going to come to you and I want you to slowly walk towards me." Erabus would speak, his voice soft to try and relax the female from freaking out in distress. All that would do is speed up the process of the ice's current state.

The crack of the ice reminded the white fae that she was in a lot of trouble. She didn’t move a muscle and started to breath deep to calm herself down. There was no reason to start freaking out now, she looked at Erabus nervously, seeing he was calm and also trying to calm her down. It made her feel a little more relaxed knowing that he was there. There wasn’t a lot of solutions to this problem, either they both fall in or one falls in. She didn’t like the odds of them both falling in, especially if one died. The chilly wind made her shiver, now it was not so comforting to be out in the cold weather. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion, the cracks that she could now see under her had stopped but they had traveled the other way. It was hard to tell where it was safe to step, and with all the cracks under her she couldn’t move. Looking back up to Erabus, her golden gaze wide but not calm she tried to figure out the best solution. Erabus’s calm voice hit her ears and heard his words and she shook her head lightly. “No Erabus, don’t try to come out here. It’s too dangerous, with both of us on here it will crack splitting it open and taking us both. I will try to come towards you, ok?” She said knowing it would be a failed plan to try and walk out towards him. Lifting her left paw she gently placed it forward not putting all of her weight on it until she felt it wouldn’t crack. Taking that first step sent spider web cracks outwards but it didn’t break. Focusing on Erabus her movements were very slow. She lifted her her back right leg, moving it forward hearing the cracking became louder. Instead of flinching and backing up, she placed her front right back spaced out from her left. She tried to step forward with her left back paw and it went through the ice plunging into the frozen waters. When her left back leg went through it caused her hip to crash through making her struggle to hold herself up. The ice in front of her and under her right leg held up but she didn’t know for how long. She struggled to pull herself up a whimper escaping her. “Erabus just stay there. I can pull myself out, just give me some time.” She said looking at him, her golden eyes pleading as she tried to pull herself up.
