She trotted forward with as much speed as she could without the use of her right hind leg. The pack's Lead Healer, Cheshire, had given away information that left her as much as she hated to admit it, absolutely desperate to know more. She had already told Teren that it looked like a healer had tended to Samael before she 'killed' him so remembering that she needed to play it very safe for now, the Guardian had gone and gotten a valid reason to visit the brute. A large thorn was now embedded into the pad of her hind leg thanks to a little trip through a thorny bush and for such a minor injury it hurt a whole lot. But now she had an actual reason to go see the healer so Teren could hardly find anything suspicious about that, could he? Finally she reached the pack's main clearing and with a nod to the few wolves wandering about, she headed straight for the healer's den without even slight hesitation. Of course this was all based on luck, Cheshire might not even be in there. The pack had another Lead Healer, the female and possibly others- but she hadn't scented the male anywhere else in the territory so hopefully she was right in guessing that he would be located in his den.

She peered hard into the thick darkness of the entrance, hazel gaze seeming to almost glow in the dim light as she allowed her eyes to adjust. Before alerting anyone of her presence, the Guardian inhaled deeply- nose twitching. There it was! Almost overpowered by the herby smell making her nose itch but she could detect the familiar scent of the wolf she'd met in the fog and from what she could tell it seemed fresh enough. She would straighten and clear her throat to make her presence known before speaking into the darkness. "Hello? It's Guardian Tundra and I would like some assistance with a nasty thorn if there isn't any more important things to deal with." Despite the politeness of the words themselves, her tone made it clear that she didn't give a damn if the healer was busy, she was coming in and talking to him anyway. Leaning back on her haunches, her gaze shifted over to her paw- frowning at the sight of the thorn. It was rather big and she'd pushed in a bit further than she'd meant to, blood still oozed from where it pierced that skin and damn did it sting. Flicking her ears, she turned away to fix her attention on something else, at least it made it more convincing if she had to explain why she was visiting the healer rather than keeping up with her duties.

Their last meeting had been odd, it was all a bit of blur to be honest. Somehow, they had both let it slip that they were reasons that Samael was alive and in hiding although there had been nothing friendly about it. In fact, it had been very tense and Tundra realized that as sad as it was- both had probably just been thinking of how this could be used against the other if needed. Teren's Guardian against his Lead Healer, who would be successful if they both tried to give each other away? However afterwards they had came to what seemed to be some sort of tense and thin understanding- a small nod before someone had dragged Tundra away to complete some job. The usual. But now she was ready to get some proper information from this sly creature and make sure he was on Samael's side and didn't intend on selling them out to Teren or it would not be her that would need the healing.

He had been expecting her. Over the last few days he had went about his duties excessively, wanting no reason to venture away from his quarters for longer than absolutely necessary. On one hand, it had become obsessively habitual, waiting for someone that might never come, but on the other, it was an ordinary routine for someone like him; he always had a hidden agenda, a plan that worked just under the noses of those uninvolved, and this one in particular happened to include a certain Guardian that had no true entitlement to her new authority - but that, of course, made her all the more entitled in his backwards perspective.

Eyeing the entrance, the sound of her voice was a welcome disruption, and though her proposition was phrased politely he caught the undertones of finality. "Come on in, dearie. Let's see what we can do about that." There was another meaning to his words, just as there always was; his attempt to suppress a small chuckle was to no avail, for he was deeply amused by the idea of what was to come. They had left one another far too soon when their secrets came out, and there was still much to be discussed. He had an annoying habit of avoiding the essential, but this situation was a special one indeed; instead he would treat it like it was of lesser importance, which, in many ways, it was. The Guardian's sole priority was to ensure Samael's safety, his success when finally left to face Teren, and as for Cheshire . . . he cared for neither. He had saved Samael's life, and surely Tundra had interpreted that as him showing a rare fleck of goodness and bias, but it was all part of the plan: the look on Teren's face would be priceless when he saw that Samael hadn't died, and it would make his triumph and rightful claim to Erenyx all the more thrilling, and it would be no less thrilling to see Samael lose a second time, and to witness the downfall of those around him that played a hand in the mischief - the downfall of everyone except for him, of course, because surely the mastermind behind all of it had an escape plan for when all eyes turned to him.

He pressed his paw ever so lightly against the wound to test its sensitivity - an unnecessary course of action, its sole purpose to cause her a limited amount of pain, but she wouldn't know that unless another secret was revealed in which she knew more about the field than he suspected. "You're going to experience some discomfort, but surely nothing you cannot handle." Without warning, he clutched the thorn between his teeth and pulled it free, exhibiting a surprising level of caution with the task as to ensure it wouldn't break and leave the smaller half suspended inside of her flesh - there was nothing written in stone when it came to Cheshire, but nobody could deny him his expertise in medical care.

He immediately chewed a bundle of alder leaves into a poultice and pressed it against the fresh wound: it undeniably stung, but it would protect her from infection. Next, a cobweb was secured across, serving two purposes: one was to ensure a lack of blood loss, the other to keep the alder leaves in place. The healer leaned away, admiring his work, a flare of egoism shining in two bright irises. He slowly lifted his gaze to her face, for his work was done, and yet she remained.

With a smile lingering on the corner of his lip, he invited her to share her thoughts with an exaggerated lifting of his brow in expectancy. "I know why you're here, so let's get on with it. I must say . . . inflicting a purposeful injury was a most refreshing way of avoiding suspicion." He was jumping to conclusions, but how could he not? Tundra wasn't brain dead enough to stroll right into the unforgiving hands of a thorn bush. That she would go to such lengths was admirable; he saw a glimpse of himself in the action, and though it filled him with nothing but joy it should've done quite the opposite for her. She was capable of being quietly mischievous, but that was the healer's forté. He'd welcome her as deep into his world as she dared, but what resulted of her wayward adventures was entirely up to her - though a part of him was rather hopeful it would be entirely up to him.
