Time for Change [Private - Alphess Rose]

Time passed as quick as the wind. Taking with it all who didn't wish to be left behind. Leaving those who did, or those who were too weak to keep up. Lucky for Teeku he hadn't been left behind. No unlike many who lost their lives protecting what Helidos held precious, Teeku was still alive. He'd survived his first battle as a member of Helidos, as an Omega none the less. The title which had bothered him when he first joined, now held little meaning to him. Wolves here didn't treat him like dirt for being an Omega, therefore he didn't mind terribly. Sure it came with its downfalls, but Teeku would take being an Omega to being a loner any day. Life on his own had been hard, lonesome and unfulfilling. Here in Helidos, Teeku felt a sense of purpose, a sense of who he was and who he wanted to be. It was a first for the young brute, back home he'd been reckless, clueless even naïve. So much so his father had seen it fit to ask him to leave home. Though Teeku may not of completely grown out of his immature ways, he had matured over the past few months.

Winter had settled into Helidos by the time Teeku's broken limb healed. He'd lost track of the number of days forced to rest. He hated lazing about camp, hobbling on three legs instead of four. Being young and the fracture clean, Teeku's body healed itself quickly. It wasn't nearly as quick as the young, playful brute would of liked but it was quick. He'd also avoided infection, having been treated not long after the fight. All in all, Teeku couldn't complain about the injuries Erenyx's Delta had given him. He'd seen the blood lust in the russet fae's eyes and knew she'd meant to do far worse. Sometimes when he slept, Teeku would see flashes of the fae. Covered in his blood laughing manically. She hadn't laughed during their battle but for some reason it haunted his nightmares. Perhaps the worse side effect from the battle aside the broken tibia. Teeku did his best not to let it bother him, he was sure others were having troubles too, even if they didn't want to admit them.

Yawning, the dark colored brute revealed his ivory fangs. They were currently stained with the blood of a rabbit he'd managed to find. His hunting skills weren't the best, but he could survive. So after a good long walk to stretch his long limbs, the brute had hunted. Using a technique he'd seen foxes preform. Pinpointing prey beneath the snow then pouncing on top of it and crushing the animal beneath. To his utter delight it had worked. His prize an old stale, stringy rabbit. Sure it wasn't the best but it was food and during the winter any food was worth eating. Now laying in the clearing, Teeku finished up his meager meal, his bright pink tongue lapping his lips and paws clean. Deep amber gaze closing a moment, he enjoyed the little sunshine which flickered through the trees, alighting the brown and silver hues hidden in his black fur.

Alphess Rose

Rose stood upon a ledge, staring out at the rising sun. Her amber eyes glistened as she prepared to call forth her duties as an Alphess. She was going to have a chat with Teeku, it had only been a tiny bit after the war, and he was much more deserving of a better rank. She had watched him spar with the Delta of Erenyx, and she was very proud. She felt the twinge of pain in her side, it was just the memories of war. Every time she thought about it, she wanted to cringe and run away. But she had a duty to her pack, and to follow her heart.

She took a deep breath and slowly dropped herself down, snow breaking under her paws and leaving a trail of small prints that would follow her until winter's end. She took a deep breath and shook her head as snow fluttered about, clinging to her creamy white pelt. She sniffed around a bit, taking in all the scents and finally deciding to stop in the middle of the clearing. She tilted her head back and howled loudly. "Teeku!" She demanded loud and clear, her voice echoing back to her. Silence was her answer, mainly because everything seemed so quiet to her. The world of white was tearing at her mind, but she remained calm as she smiled and searched wolves whom passed, she was looking for someone.

Her ears flattened against her skull as she sat there, waiting, pondering. Snow tickled her muzzle as it landed just to melt away. She smiled weakly and took in the view. Fluffy snow covered ever inch of the ground, trees looked bare without their leaves, but comfy with the blankets of snow that wove together to protect them. Not many animals roamed the lands, but at least there was enough for her pack to get by. She nodded firmly as she squinted up at the sky, blue swarmed it like the sea, but instead of waves upon burning sand, it was clouds upon a great big sky.

Teeku hadn't expected someone to call out his name, let alone the alphess. Her words cut through his peaceful bask in the weak winter sunshine. Causing him to jump with surprise, he blinks his deep amber eyes rapidly. He knew that voice, it was Alphess Rose the new leader of Helidos. Jumping quickly to his long lanky limbs, Teeku quickly shook snow from his fur. Licking away the remaining blood from his kill he straightened glancing around. There in the middle of camp stood Rose, demanding his presence. Curious and slightly nervous as to why the leader beckoned him, Teeku quickly trod over. His dark fur standing out in stark contrast to the whiteness of winter all around. Reaching Rose, Teeku dropped himself low to the ground so low his belly scraped the snow. His tail also dropped sweeping his hocks, his slender ears pulled back. He didn't quite know how to act around Rose. She had accepted him into the pack as a Guardian. Then she'd been sweet and welcoming, but now she was the alphess. Did that mean she would change? He wasn't sure but he knew he wanted her to acknowledge his loyalty to her. " Rose... Alphess Rose I mean." He fumbles the words looking embarrassed. " You wanted to see me?" He finishes trying to control himself. All he really wanted to do was to greet her like he would a friend. He may not of been there long or of gotten much time to spend with the snowy fae but he adored her. She'd given him the helping paw he had desperately needed, and he would forever be grateful for that. Amber eyes looking slightly to the left of her face, Teeku awaited her words. His gaze admiring the way her fur glistened as white as the snow around her. He'd never admit to it, in the fear that Delta Sitka might swallow him whole but Teeku found the Alphess to be quite beautiful. He had since arriving in Helidos and spying her ivory pelt. Where he came from there hadn't been any snowy colored wolves. So for the dark colored brute there was a certain appeal to the alphess's frosty white appearance.

Rose watched as Teeku approached her as she was. An Alphess. She cringed slightly and shook her head. "Teeku, please. I am still your friend, Rose will do just fine, and stand up proper!" She commanded like she normally would, a playful grin coming across her face. She took a deep breath and let it out in a sigh, reaching over and nuzzling Teeku gently before stepping back and summing him up. Her eyes danced and she flashed a warm smile. "How have you been? The healers around here are treating your wounds and treating you nicely, yes?" She would get to the topic she wanted to really talk about in a moment. But for now, she would let the conversation fall out as if she were just chatting away. She shifted from paw to paw, waiting for answer as she listened. Her ears rolled forward and she grinned with a hint of play. "Find a wolf you fancy?" She pondered to think if Teeku had been able to find a fae. "After-all, who wouldn't go after such a strong Warrior as yourself?" She broke out grinning as she spoke his new rank with ease. She sat down upon her haunches and watched to see what reaction she would get from the brute. She was proud of him, and she would tell that to him soon. She sat in silence, her mind getting caught up in thought. She could hear the brute, and she would remember whatever he would say unto her, but part of her mind wandered away from her. Her eyes danced and she laughed quietly. She was thinking about when she first met Teeku. He certainly has learned to hold his own! She nodded firmly, as if to confirm her thoughts with a mere nod.

Teeku was pleased to find Rose had not changed. His submissive behavior causing the white fae to give a visible cringe. Slender ears flickering at her words a wide smile spreads across his maw. His eyes which had been uncertain before warmed instantly. " Oh right!" He says slowly rising from his submissive stance to a more relaxed one. His tail however still wagged happily behind him. His deep amber eyes shining as he gazed upon his friend. Watching as a playful grin spread across the white fae's face Teeku's eyes danced. It was the same look he'd received from Rose when he'd first met her. The look that had instantly charmed his heart, the look that had told him Helidos was the place he wished to stay. Suddenly Rose moved forward to gently nuzzle him, her sweet scent filling his nose. Flushing Teeku returned the gesture in a soft manner, his heart buzzing quicker than it had before. Taking a deep breath he calms himself, trying not to get caught up in the fae's beauty. She's eternally unavailable, he reminds himself. Shifting his weight from paw to paw, he looks to his paws awkwardly a moment. Her words catching his attention however he glances back to her. " Me? Oh I am doing good now." He says quickly. " My wound is just about all the way healed!" he adds nodding to his hind limb where a nasty bit of scar tissue stuck out from his dark colored limb. " Wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you..." he adds appreciatively, eyes soft. Forgetting the second part of what she said a moment, Teeku struggles to find words. " Oh er yeah!" He murmurs flushing again. Why'd he have to be so awkward? Huffing he smiles once more. " No everything has been great, now that I ain't cooped up in camp waiting on this darn leg to heal." He jokes. Suddenly his ears flicker back once more and his head tilts to the side. " How have you been Al..." He catches himself saying Alphess and stops. " Rose...?" He quickly fixes grinning at his screw up. Now that he knew she wasn't going to bare down on him for his tongue tied ways, he felt more relaxed. Her last words however would of certainly caused him to turn red had he been human. " Oh I-i um...." He stutters once more examining his paws as if they were quite fascinating. " Not r-really um.. yet I suppose." He finishes wondering why she would want to know such things about him. Her last words seemingly lost on him for several moments. Then his jaw parts and he gapes at her. " W-warrior?" He repeats shocked. Sitting up straighter he notices the grin plastered on the her face. " Really!? " He repeats trying to rein in his excitement and show some control. He didn't want the fae to revoke the rank she was seemingly giving out. He however could not prevent a huge grin from spreading over his narrow maw.
