In my dream, I was a werewolf. My soul was filled with crystal light; lavender ribbons of rain sang. Ridding my heart of mortal fight...

Silver orbs scanned the boarder as Zane's broad anatomy tensed with anxiety. Athletic muscles bulged and rippled beneath his midnight fur as he prowled the boarders in the moonlight. The sharp acidic stench of urine stung his twitching nostrils, pricking the hairs along his spine into a ridge. Ears erect, he strained to hear even the slightest noise he could descry. Zane could detect the pungent masculine scent abundant with testosterone which symbolized the alpha of Erenyx. I mus'nt have a defensive presentation, His anxious thoughts began, Perhaps if I approach the brute in a neutral fashion. I shall represent respect and strength. Pleased with his oddly sane thoughts, he treaded across the boarder.

The brute then decided to announce his presence, if an authority did not already sense it. He angled his stiff members promptly beneath his embodiment, his bear-like appearance emphasized as he flattened his ears against his skull and swung his head back in unison. His long torso bellowed as he began his call. Zane's vocal cords vibrated deep in his chest as he let out a masculine howl into the silver night. Under the moonlight, he felt at peace. The silence in the forest provided him with sanity and understanding of the world. As he finished his low note, a sense of meaning flooded through his viens. Perhaps, this could be his home. A real home.

In the dead silence of night, the small demons continued to patronize her to near insanity. Some moments would be more peaceful then others, their kicks lighter and their overall movements almost non-existent, while others nights felt as if they were having a spar right inside her. Nuisances, the female reflected, the love of a mother having its limits when it came to Esmeralda. Despite the pregnancy, the demon Queen's fearsome aura did not diminish. If anything, the serpent's bite became quicker to strike while forked tongue's hissing was now an even more common tune to the forest.

The border came upon the ashen she-wolf quicker than expected, her internal conversing preoccupying, green slits narrowing to inspect her current position for potential canines. Ebony nostrils flared as the incoming winds escorted recent scents, delicately flowing them into her nasal passages to be analyzed. While the information was processed in mere seconds, a new sign of unknown life came upon the wind in a different manner, her ears rotating to the appropriate direction. Even with a large stomach, the Alphess immediately made haste to their location, moreover concerned with a weakling tainting her territory than acquiring a possible member.

"Speak your name, brute," although Alphess Esmeralda had already mated, that quite evident in her figure, brutes still reigned for the first position, over females, on her dislike list. The raven male before her now was completely in her narrowed gaze, the emerald eyes showing her intolerance for weak figures. As her demons cackled at the sight of another potential victim, Esmeralda continued. While she spoke, she could not help but think of how much nicer it was to act as she pleased, allowing the demons to run free, instead of remaining in her constant masquerade at Helidos. "Instead of falling to my jaws, convince me there is actual worth in your being so I do not have to waste my energy on killing you. The pack you come upon now, my pack, is not for the weak, moreover the weak are not permitted to even to exist."

Sensing his unwelcome, the brute lowered his massive head in respect. "My Alphess, I am by no means feeble, delicate, or a burden to thy pack." His husky voice rumbled calmly. The fae's words stung, her serpent-like demeanor intrigued a challenge deep within the male. Applying to this pack would not be a walk in the meadow. It lit a flame deep within his belly, sparking his demons alive. Saliva seeped from under his tongue as he flicked it against his dry nose as he continued, "I am not a waste of thy precious time. I shall present my deepest loyalty and trust to thou. I promise an oath to my Alpha and Alphess, I swear-eth on my soul I would go to the depths of Hades and back for thy life and for thou brethren of the pack. I give thou my soul  and present my inner-most demons. Inside this heart, is darkness. Inside this heart, is hatred, anger, confusion, and the potential for a murderer. I sense that thy too has a heart heavy as the one I possess."

Tick tock.

Puphood memories reminisce before the tortured soul's eyes, as he blankly stared into the fae's orbs. Zane's silver opticals pierced into Esmerelda's as he poured his deepest truths from his dialating pupils.

Tick tock.

Slowly fluttering his eyelids closed, he screamed within himself to silence the voices. What did they mean? What were they telling him. With a clouded mind, he managed to focus all his attention of the event at hand.

Tick tock.

"I will fight until nothing remains. I promise thou from the bottom of my soul."

Tick.

Tock.

No time was wasted nor did the two shared a dance of verbal wits, instead everything was met head on. It was something Esmeralda had yet to experience on either border and it intrigued her demons. They cackled, whispering amongst themselves, as their host, and follower of their true King, observed the brute before them. Eyebrows raised for a mere moment at his proclamation before they returned to their original position. Nothing appeared to the visible eye but the wicked serpent could imagine both of their demons whipping about their figures like small whirlwinds, the Alphess's gathering around her to inspect the unfamiliar beasts. Silence. Their chatter immediately halted at her command, delivered in a way to reveal their fate should they argue, as the she-demon continued to be intrigued by his way of speaking. "Feeble nor delicate you do not appear, though your potential as a burden will be determined." The forked tongue flickered outward for a brief moment, still determining her reply. There was no need for haste and though Esmeralda was sure in her words, making him await in only his thoughts would test numerous abilities.

"Your swear of oath means nothing until I deem you and your company's worth," she could imagine her demons laughing to the latter of her comment in their sickened, yet shared, amusement,  "and the matter of you giving your soul is somewhat respected but irrelevant. The souls of those whom join my pack already belong to me, willingly or not." The Alphess already saw a shared aura between them but that fact would not lighten his interrogation. As she continued to speak, her hind legs fell to the ground in a bold sitting position, the extra weight an annoying yet intolerable burden. "You speak of murder, the potential, but how true is this proclamation? Tell me, rogue, could you slay a female or a pup? Not just a pup whom has just entered this world, blind to all, but one with personality and soul, who will feel the inflicted pain and sense ill intent behind it, before they plummet into Hell's gate? And can you promise your supposed anger and hatred to me, for it to be used at my every whim without a sliver of hesitation? Can you? Can you swear yourself to me and never waver even when those whom call themselves the ones of light try to force false sense into you?"

The sturdy fae presented sinful questions. Questions that burned into his soul. Dampened his heart. Clouded his mind. The brute enjoyed the strange high as he began to articulate a conclusion to her demon-like inquiries. As the mist around them condescended small crystals of water upon his raven hide, Zane exhaled his tension through his nostrils, flaring them as he did so. "So eager art thou to interrogate my loyalty as a sinner?" The voices churned in the crypts of his abdomen, restlessly eager to emerge and break all hell loose. His stomach clenched and compressed in the most sickening of ways, however Zane closed his eyes in pleasure and enjoyed the delicious rumble in his throat as They crawled up his throat.

"To murder a pup is not the ultimate sin a soul could commit. Runts are innocent, yes, however they are simply meaningless, for their journey has yet to begin. Thou has'nt possessed an unfinished story. Perhaps it isn't even a sin at all. Perhaps, thou art simply doing the unworthy soul a favor." A sinister smirk crept across half of the brute's massive snout as he chuckled silently to himself. "Eye to eye, I do not see. For thou art no different from a male? Thy possess hips for birthing. For thy presents no difference from me. Fae or brute, nonetheless the soul is innocent."

Insanity was slowly creeping into his bloodstream as his heavy heart pulsated sinful blood into his veins. The more he conversed with the fae, the stronger he felt. Testosterone abundantly released into his athletic muscles as he sensed a strange craving for blood. For flesh. For a lifeless body beneath his own.

Go to sleep and close your eyes,
And dream of broken butterflies,
That tore their wings against a thorne,
You know the pain that they have borne.
