Let The Games Begin Empty
PostSubject: Let The Games Begin Let The Games Begin Icon_minitimeFebruary 1st 2015, 10:15

Stone cold eyes peered out into the forest ahead of him, the what he resumed was once lush green of the forest was fading as the bitter fall winds swept in. Winter was coming. He scoffed and let a barely audible growl rumble in his chest. He despised winter with every ounce of his being. One might say he hated it with his whole heart, but that would require someone to have one to hate something with it's entirety. His was surely black as the night sky and withered away to nothing. If his sick, twisted need for chaos was not so strong, the sinister male would have continued south to much warmer lands. But these lands he had stumbled upon, oh he would have fun here. The lands reeked of many many wolves. 'So many players, so little time' he thought to himself, a wicked smile slipping across his lips at the thought. His last conquest had turned out so much better than he could have ever planned. He recalled the look of betrayal, desperation, anger, and fear in the eyes of the two alphas as they had lay dying on the battle field. A shiver of pleasure pulsed through his entire body. That had been glorious. He could only dream that such a feat was possible more than once. Perhaps he could even top his last performance. With this many wolves in one area, he would have fun.

He had wandered around neutral territories within these strange lands for several days now. He had discovered the boundaries of two
separate packs. A choice needed to be made as to which one he would join, and soon. Lone wolves roaming around pack lands were not generally appreciated. Not that it truly mattered to the twisted individual which pack he found himself within.  He had no intentions of staying very long. He would have his fun and then vanish from these parts just as he had time and time before. As he approached the boundary line he took a moment to compose himself before announcing his presence to these unsuspecting fools. He wiped the malicious grin from his face, and concealed the mischievous look that twinkled in his bi coloured eyes, the right a deep shade of green and the left a chilling ice blue. The words he would speak would not drip their usual venom, but rather a sweet honey tone. A voice he had long mastered. He raised his maw to the chilled sky and let out a quick sharp howl alerting the pack of his presence at their boarders. He quickly lowered his head back down, laying his ears flat back on his head and letting his tail drop to a neutral position. "Let the games begin" he hissed.

Padding through the forest, the Elite gazed ahead with his usual countenance of calm, emotionless gaze. The leaves were falling more this evening making the area appear vibrant and fierce. Autumn was nature's own artificial fire, brought to life in a swirl of orange and red. He, with his towering, large form and pitch black coat, was the splotch of black that cast a deathly glow, dousing the vibrant colours with his presence. Though, not purposefully. Never purposefully. The evening was growing darker and darker so his form was starting to blend into the night which Tye ultimately preferred. It was then that he sniffed something in the air. The scent of a wolf at the borders. He quickened his pace, muscled legs taking him across the ground at a swift but powerful pace until he neared the wolf. A male. Tye heard the howl long before he saw him. He saw the wolf's head lower, his ears going flat against his skull. He was adopting the neutral position. It was a mental note Tye locked into his mind. The black wolf was indifferent to what position the other wolf adopted. Time and time again he saw that those things were mere customs and not indicators of a wolf's personality. He came to a smooth stop in front of him, the Elite's ice blue eyes fell on him. Cold, piercing. Expressionless. Let the games begin? He almost chuckled at that one. He said nothing for a moment, then opened his muzzle and spoke in a deep, calm voice that came from his chest, "I am Elite Tye and you have come to the boders of Erenyx. What is your name and why have you come here?"

Let The Games Begin Empty
PostSubject: Re: Let The Games Begin Let The Games Begin Icon_minitimeFebruary 4th 2015, 14:52

It didn't take long, as he had suspected. Both of these packs were heavily membered, so his presence along their borders wouldn't take long to be acknowledged. The wolf who had presented himself to Vetis was a wolf of black, who's eyes shone the same bright blue that coloured Vetis' left eye, and introduced himself as Elite Tye. Name, rank, and appearance were all logged to memory. So this pack was Erenyx. He had not encountered any wolves in his few days slithering within neutral lands, so he hadn't yet discovered any information other than the fact that two packs called these lands home. He didn't much care for which pack he joined. Either one would do just fine as he fully intended to drag both into play, so for now, Erenyx would do.

After only a quick glance at the Elite, Vetis lowered his eyes to the ground and slipped forwards into a deep bow. "Elite Tye, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I would like to thank you for coming with such haste. I do not wish to waste your time, so I shall be brief. My name is Elijah. I have come in search of new lands to call home." he said curtly, his head still lowered and his eyes still glued to the ground beneath his paws. This was his least favourite part. He hated grovelling to those whom he did not consider worthy of his time. They were all just pawns. Each a piece to the puzzle, and ultimately disposable. Never the less, it was a necessary evil should he wish to gain their trust.

Tye continued to observe the wolf, his expression unchanging as he waited for a response and listened. He was curt. Always a plus. To Tye, this was something that was part of his duties but this wolf was voicing his gratitude. It was a good gesture. His ears leaned forwards in surprise as the other male started to bow. Tye almost asked him to straighten himself. He understood why he was doing the action. Though, he did not know what the other male was thinking. Perhaps he thought Tye a fool but surely he wasn't that gullible. They were all expendable in the end. Well, warriors anyway and if that was what this wolf wanted, then he would be the same. Tye was as well. But he was not going to play games. To be sure, the wolf had games of his own. Plans, ideas. But Tye would stand at the shadows. He had no interest in this wolf's affairs. He said,"Straighten your head. It does you no good grovelling to me. Save that for those who care. Tell me this, Elijah, what skills do you have to bring to the pack?"

PostSubject: Re: Let The Games Begin Let The Games Begin Icon_minitimeFebruary 5th 2015, 22:56

What ties did these two packs hold? Were they amiable with one another? Was there tension between them? What history did they have, and what players would be his most valuable? Surely with two packs so close, they must interact. Bonds were sure to have formed between members of opposite packs. Those would be his strong point. Be they feelings of love or hate, those would be the building blocks. The others would be of use, in their own way, but he needed connections. He needed to find himself mingling among those he was to call "pack mates" and gather information, intel on his own pack, and on the other. Only then could he truly begin.

The Elite's voice sounded once more, telling him to straighten up. To this he fought back a grin, and raised his head, his bi coloured eyes meeting Tye's. "As you wish. I am a wolf of many talents, though to keep matters simple, I would say that fighting is among my most valuable skills. I would fight to protect those who found it within them to grant me a place among them." he said simply, his honey tone calm and even. He needn't give the Elite any reason not to trust him. The mask of false truth that he wore across his face was one he had long perfected, leaving no trace of the lies that spilled forth from his maw.

Tye could see the wheels turning in the wolf's head. Unasked questions were surely swirling around in that brain of his. Questions no doubt about the way the pack operated. Questions about the wolves that resided here. A question about Alphas and Alphessses of Erenyx perhaps? Or any of the ranks. Tye would not elaborate in great detail about any of them here. Of course, he would respond if the other wolf asked as was courtesy but it wasn't his primary concern at the moment. And it was not the time or place. He knew nothing about the history and all those intricate relationships and grievances and history involving the two packs and the Alphas that led them. He would have to ask someone else because Tye was not the wolf to go to for these matters. Tye said,"Very well. Being a wolf of many talents will only help you. If your most valuable skill is your fighting ability then you find it no trouble to settle into Erenyx." He paused and said, "I hope you have a strong heart and an even stronger mind. There will be no room for warriors who leave their pack-mates to die. In saying that, I am sure you will make a fine warrior since you say that you are a wolf of many talents and fighting is your valuable one. I will give you the rank of warrior as your build and skills seem to be fit to fight."

occ: Welcome Vetis. Please change your name to Warrior Vetis. Then go to the tabs at the top of the page and click on Ranks to request to change your pack name to Erenyx. You do not have to reply to this if you do not want to

And just like that, he was in. Warrior, a title he could live with. It did not do him well to aim for much higher, or to stoop to anything lower. It was an inconspicuous rank, one that was respected enough, but not quite important enough to draw any real attention to himself. This would do just fine. "Many thanks Elite Tye. I shall take the title of Warrior and wear it proudly as I take on my duties to serve and protect those of Erenyx. I would love to stay and chat, but I wish to get to know my surroundings before the snows of winter fall. I shall be off then, though I shall be seeing you around I am sure." he with a simple grin and gave one last courteous dip of his head to the Elite before turning and trotting off into the lands of Erenyx. His new playground lay before the devious snake, waiting for the fun to begin. Bi-coloured eyes flittered eagerly at the new surroundings, taking it all in. "And so it begins." he thought to himself with a near inaudible snicker.
