Wherever I may go
Death will follow in my step

There was no mistaking the danger lurking under every step that he took here in the deadly glade. As his nails beat against the frigid rocks the clipping noise seemed to echo against the silence, and when his paws slipped on a mossy stone it felt as though the small stream of water was ready to catch him with sharp pebbles beneath its dark surface. Surely he had mixed up the direction of Agavos? Which way was the way out of this dreary place? It was midday and yet the ground was covered with a layer of fog seemingly endlessly spawning from the murky water. With amber eyes watching every stone expecting some mythical monster to erupt from behind, the adolescent called Achak attempted to fight his way through the hazardous terrain. Perhaps he had accidentally fallen asleep? Surely this was some sort of bad dream where nothing was as it should in a crazy nonsense world. Ah, but as the soft pad on his front paw was jabbed with a sharp loose rock the male was left without any doubt that this place was in fact real. Sighing, he dragged his body onto one of the larger rocks to rest. Lifting the stabbed paw off the ground and curling his tail around the bottom of his other front paw, Achak looked up towards the sky. A thick haze was blocking out the sun's rays, and the usual ball of blinding light seemed so dim here. Silence. There were no birds to tweet a song here, and there was no trickle of water. Perhaps this part of the world was frozen in time - perhaps he wasn't meant to be here. Well, he really wasn't to begin with. Putting aside getting close to his adoptive pack, Achak had strung to stay as lonely as he could it seemed. There was no possibility to loose any more when he didn't have anything to loose. The fear of finding someone to fill the gaping hole left by the death of his family and then have them ripped away was.. terrifying. Shivering, the young one drew his tail closer.

'It feels as though this place draws out your biggest fears.. and it makes you feel them - stand under their weight until you let them crush and consume you. Maybe that's why there are so many stones here.. creatures that were drawn into this dreadful place, lost to the time, and then succumb to the weight of their own fears dwelling in the madness. Perhaps this rock beneath me," Thinking to himself the male looked down uninterested. 'was a creature so lost to an unchangeable terror that it built and built until he could no longer hold the weight and he could no longer move. Eat. Sleep. Now as this boulder he retains this form to hold all of the fears inside. Perhaps now his inevitable fear can't come true, but neither can he let go of the problems that he once had.' Sighing, Achak flicked his ears and inched his paw forward to knock a pebble into the water below. It fell downward and landed with a loud 'plop' that seemed to echo. By now his paw was feeling better, but he was still stuck in this ghastly place. "Ah, but I am not ready to turn into a stone yet now am I?" Perhaps he was already starting to go mad - talking to himself with absolute foolery he had concocted. Still, the words seemed to push the fears back for at least a moment while the young one rose to his paws once more. What to do, what to do..

Actions. Thoughts. "Speech."

I Fall to Pieces (Lynx) Empty
PostSubject: Re: I Fall to Pieces (Lynx) I Fall to Pieces (Lynx) Icon_minitimeApril 3rd 2016, 03:41

Days were moving by slowly and boredom was becoming a constant companion of hers. She needed things to do, wolves to mess with. It was a shame that Rogue Mjolnir wanted to eat her, otherwise he would've been handy because that little interaction of theirs had been the most enjoyable thing she'd done in a while. But she'd been able to see just how hard it had been for him to resist his urges to snack on her so she wasn't going to test his self control for another few years. But years took forever and it was only Spring now. Letting her paws carry her aimlessly, the young Rogue watched all that passed by her with a look of pure annoyance. Why was their never anyone around? The Rogue lands were all but empty these days, more and more of them seeming to be choosing the pack life. Especially after Winter now, a lot seemed to have been too weak to deal with the harsh cold and had gone seeking a pack to look after them. "Pathetic" She grumbled to herself. However that had been a while ago when she'd been wandering bright sunny lands blooming with the life of small critters and plants. Although some of those critters had wandered too close to the wandering fae and she'd made a game out of their deaths. It had been fun. Yet now she was somewhere that actually drew some curiosity from her. It was a great feeling to actually care enough to want to know something, she wished there were enough interesting things around to make her feel that way all the time! The land here seemed to have a permanent dull gloom to it and she found herself wading through thick fog that clung to the grounds. She had to pick her way carefully as to not slip on the damp moss or stumble over a piece of rock. Water gurgled alongside her and she kept her ears perked in its direction at all times. Not many things scared Lynx but the thought of drowning always caused a shudder to run down her spine. Not that she'd ever admit such a thing. Her emerald gaze gleamed dimly as she hopped along. It was a bit like a puzzle if you thought about it, and by failing you died. So therefore it was a real puzzle. Not some silly one that by loosing you would only end up with a hurt pride. This was real.

Letting a small high pitched giggle escape her, she sprang forward and landed on the smooth rock, scooting forward a few extra paces without her consents as her claws scraped along the hard surface in an effort to slow herself down before she fell into the white nothingness. Exhilarated, she repeated the process a number of times before finally coming to a stop, panting heavily. It had been quite fun but despite its darkness and tinge of deadly danger, there was not much of interest here. Only rocks, fog and water it seemed. Turning in a slow circle, Lynx spotted another rock jutting right out of the fog. It was quite high and took a good bit of scrambling to get onto but she didn't care all that much. Eventually she reached the top and felt a weak ray of sunlight trying to penetrate the lighter fog up here. Twitching her leathery nose, the youngster leaned back on her haunches and glanced about lazily. She hummed softly to herself (OOC: 'London Bridge is faling down' tune, just without the words obviously as 1) it's being hummed and 2)it has many human references) and glanced about for anything she could play with. Nothing. Huffing, she was ready to leave this disappointing place and maybe return with Con one day to see what he made of it. However just as she was preparing to jump down, a sound from nearby caught her attention. A faint 'plop' sound like something hitting water. It could be anything, just the breeze hitting something in or a bird flying far overhead dropping some of its nesting material but she was desperate enough to go check anyway. Plus, it wasn't far enough to cause her any bother and as she sprang back into the fog she could almost swear that she could catch the faint tang of wolf but it was impossible to be certain with all this muffling fog surrounding her.

Moving at as quick a pace as she could, she found herself to the back of a wolf perched upon a rock much like the one she'd been sitting on just not as high and it looked a little easier to get onto. He was speaking to himself and she smirked with dry amusement, gaze tilting to the side. Now that she was this close if she really focused she could catch his scent. It smelt like a pack, a faint tinge of one and a stronger smell of another. She wrinkled her nose with confusion. Was he in two packs? Was that even allowed? She didn't know and didn't really care either, she just wanted someone to mess around with. And by messing around with she meant she'd be doing the messing and they'd be left wallowing in confusion and something much worse should they fail her. Still smirking, the young fae spoke out into the gloom from behind him. "You shouldn't talk to yourself you know. Supposedly that's the first sign of insanity and according to others that is something I understand very well." She sniggered softly, gazing up at him with an emerald gaze that gleamed with an odd excitement. Her tail waved from side to side, cutting through the mist. Blood stained one of her ashen paws from where she'd cut her pad on a rock whilst 'playing' however she hadn't noticed it before and failed to do so now either. Older blood tainted the fur on the tips of the toes of her other forepaw but that hadn't been her own. Smiling with an almost mock innocence, she tilted her head to the side as she gazed up at him unwaveringly. "You shouldn't be in the Neutral lands and especially not somewhere as dark as this place. Were you never told the tales? Big bad rogues creep around here waiting to pounce and gobble you up!" She continued to giggle to herself, her words weren't a complete lie. If the Rogue she'd met came across a lost pup he'd certainly eat it. Smiling she leaned back on her haunches and gazed at him with another calm mask. And hey, you never knew with her now did you? Because apparently, she was insane. Such a stupid label.

Wherever I may go
Death will follow in my step

Silence. Even after the words left his mouth there was undoubtedly an eerie silence that left his ears buzzing and the fur along his back stand on end. His paws felt frozen stuck to the rock which seemed to never feel the warmth of the sunshine. If he didn't leave this place soon he too would never feel anything but the cold grip of the glade. However, there was a sudden unknowable voice that rose out from behind him that toyed with his presence. Was this just an illusion forged by the work of a tired and stressed mind? Perhaps by finding the prospect of being lost here forever, Achak's mind had taken it upon itself to produce company for the long haul. Would that help keep his consciousness sane, or would that speed the insanity? Ah, details. Turning slowly and, for some reason, without fear, the Agavos apprentice beamed his amber hues at the illusion. 'Of course,' the young one thought to himself viewing the female. 'Of course my mind would create a wolf my age.' He had never had another adolescent that cared to spend time with him. Of course the mirage was one of his biggest wants; to be friends with someone his own age. This was a pretty impressive hallucination even for the mind. Perhaps he had been more mad than he believed. How long had he been here again? Her black and white fur looked almost touchable, and the way her voice echoed amongst the rocks made her presence that more mysterious. Ah, but it was her glowing green eyes that pierced the mist that made her appearance the most striking. Quietly deciding if this was just a figment of his imagination or a true wolf standing in his company, Achak allowed the unique she-wolf to speak more.

Big bad wolves, hm? Wanting to gobble him up? Oh, those were not just tales. Aside from the rogue definition, there was one wolf the prince knew well that wanted to feast on his blood; Teren. Miss mirage spoke nothing but the truth, and both a smile and a frown threatened the sides of Achak's mouth. A frown for the fact that she knew the deepest thoughts of his mind, while a smile for the insane giggling that she proceeded to do after every speech. It seemed filled with toxin, as the desire for him to be gobbled up seemed like such a spectacle for her amusement, but such a genuine laugh was contagious. "Tell me then, would you happen to be one of those wolves, hm? Do you seek to gobble me up? Do you want to tear the pelt off of my skin? I can assure you that you must wait in line then, see. I've already got a mark on my hide, and there is no running away from the monster that seeks my end." Teren didn't know of his presence yet, the pup assumed, but there was fear in his heart for one day the target on his hide would be found by the demon. He watched the female on her haunches who eyed him back with such a casual face. The decision between mirage and blood-and-bone stilled seemed frayed, but watching her he decided it mattered not. "Tell me, my little hysterical friend.. who are you? Are you a hallucination from my own mind, or does blood course through your veins?"
